"No chance, no chance."..
Yeh, there was no chance that u will win bro.
I'm thankful that farag brought him back to reality
Very odd set of highlights… in the first game, they don’t show any of Ali’s points until the final rally. He just magically gets to 10 😅
nice to see him dispatched so easily after the disgraceful conduct against Soliman
Exactly that. It shows the character of a person, as they start to decline, the way they treat their lower ranked opponents. He's like a petulant child often.
NO CHANCE, NOT TODAY, NOT HERE- GLAD HE IS OUT!
“Not today, not here!”
haha
Congratulations aly 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🇪🇬👏🏾👏🏾
I'd be surprised if Shorbagy even breaks into the top 4, let alone no. 1... it's just far, far away at this point.
Unfortunately have to agree. He has had an incredible career. But long past peak
Agree. An absolute beast but just too much to ask now
He was #3 not that long ago after dropping down to about 8th, but he has declined again since then. I think his body is betraying him, and a lack of maturity is seeing his mental game go with it.
Yet in advance a player should work on his mental strength but I think we should not comment bad or inappropriate comment on his past behaviour yet, he is a human therefore every human is not perfect.
Indeed he is an excellent player and will always provide the best on court.
@@HassanAli-lr4jc best is not just how well you play, it's also how you conduct yourself on and off court to your opponents, and the referees. Recently shorbagys behaviour toward his opponents and referees has been terrible.
This was a really weird selection of highlights… almost all points that MES wins… yet it was a 3-0 to Farag… who made this cut?? 😂
5:47 "held that for the length of Ramadan"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that is peak comedy
I would love to see Elshobagy try and bully Declan James or George Parker the way he did Soliman. Deserves a ban for that honestly. Throwing your opponents racket, blocking them, shoving them, putting sweat on the ball, crazy.
Farag is the Wayne Gretzky of squash.
Wayne Gretzky is the Farag of Hockey 😂
Tough hit up. Good game.
Only one year age difference between them is scary
Farag has got better a lot later on than Elshorbagy. Mo was clear of farag in his younger days, got himself to finals in 2012 onwards (so wouldve been around 20/21 at the time?) and had to compete with Nick Matthew, Ramy, Gaultier, Gawad and so on
The level of the other players has risen soo much they’re so much better, But don’t take it away from Elshorbagy he’s still a fantastic player
@@Charlie_500xx Very true, although you have to admit at the moment there are only around 4/5 players fighting for tournament wins consistently - Farag, Coll, Asal, Elias and maybe one more idk - and it has been that way for a while now. Also don’t see it changing anytime soon? From 2012-2018 the range of players winning was a lot more diverse
@@shandy6002 Yeah I agree
It would have been fun to see a peak Amr Shabana or peak Ramy Ashour game give Farag interesting problems to adjust to. Amr Shabana just seemed like a cool looking unplayable nightmare at his best when faced with any kind of tempo, rhythm, technical challenge or intensity. Amr had a way about him that could negate anything coming his way at his best. Whilst Ramy had a knack of dragging the game in to deep waters technically, physically, in intensity and in the reading department too with all kinds opponents and playing styles. Ramy somehow was effective at creating a weird uncertainty filled chaos in the points then going deeper in it and willing through it in a way that allowed things to go in his favor.
“He held that the length of Ramadan”
Elshorbagy has always been entertaining from the perspective of beast mode, where you have to drag his body off the court before he gives up. Incredible psychological strength and squash IQ. Made for excellent matches against Nick Mathew, Gaultier, and crew. However, the current crop does play prettier squash: love a five-setter of Farag and Elias. The current meta is just unreal
Easy Game for Ali!
3:34 ‘That’s a very good looking camera man’
Imagine if this were the other way around
I think it is an in-joke
The ali-en knows exactly where and how the beast t gonna be playing. He knows exactly what tò do in order tò stop him.
that court seems especially dead
He won way too easily
The beast should work more on his mental strength the next days...
If I were Shorbagy, I would make next year his farewell tour. He is only a shadow of his former self and there’s no way he’s getting to number one again against this current crop of top players. Too many miles on his body. He’s had a wonderful career and it’s time to throw in the towel like Matthew and Gautier did before him.
It's funny how by watching these highlights you get an impression that Mo was winning. Very few Farag's points
Disrespecting Elshorbagy knowing that he was the toughest opponent of Ramy Ashour. Go watch there matches. He was world No:01 when we had players like Gaultier, Matthew, Ashour, Amr Shabana, Momen naming few.
But people don't understand that it's only a part of game
@@squashwithhabib Exactly
Farag looks far more fluid on the backhand than Shorbagy in this video. Shorbagy looks more relaxed while playing Paul Coll than he does with Farag. That's interesting given Paul Coll seems to give Farag a tougher time than Shorbagy has been able to recently. The boxing term styles make fights comes to mind.
The replay only shows rallies that Shorbagy won
I feel at 2:50 Shorbagys movement wasn't outrightly illegal but it was pretty poor conduct, Farag wasn't happy, it really g'd him up. The way he earned that single point cost him the game most likely. I have been fairly disgusted by Shorbagys behaviour in the last few years, at times. He is every bit as bad as Asal with some of his tactics.
People talk like MES is done. How little you've seen squash. Names like Matthew, and Gaultier got better after mid 30s
The sooner MES retires, the better. His game against Soliman was a pure demonstration of what it is to be a bad sport
What happened there?? Didn't see any highlight
@@TheHilarious91 you name it, he did it. Throwing his opponents racket, blocking them, shoving them, shouting at them, putting sweat on the ball before the serve.
