    Buddy I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. I had the same problem and was baffled. I even did what the manual suggested and cleaned the screen on that little pump arm over the bucket that swings down. It did need cleaning, but of course that didn't fix the problem. I tried your fix earlier today and tonight mine is working like a charm, pumping like it should. Thanks again.

      Happy this worked for you. And yes, I was so baffled but couldn’t give up. How could they send me 3 brand new dehumidifiers and they all not work? lol 😂
      Mine has been working flawlessly since so I am sure yours will as well. Glad you found my video.

    Thank you!!!! I was able to fix mine thanks to your video!! Same exact problem!! Strange thing tho.. I do not have the metal thing on the inside that I would think would be for the weight. I just have the metal piece up top inside.

    I had a similar situation, the condenser in my homelabs dehumidifier seemed to stop running. They sent me a free replacement like you. But i would love to fix the old one and have rhe extra. Have you had any experience with this issue?

    • @ITSTHISEASY
      @ITSTHISEASY  Рік тому +1

      Sorry no I haven’t had that issue. My new unit just didn’t work from the beginning and neither did the two others they sent me which is why I figured something had to be happening during shipping. Since I fixed the third unit I haven’t had any issues.
      I have however seen UA-cam videos on how to repair the condenser so give those a look. Seemed pretty straightforward to me. Good luck and if you don’t mind I’d love to see how it goes if you do fix it. Would love another comment on here because it helps everyone.
      Good luck and thank you for the question.

    Mine after 5 years is getting a big build up of ice on the coils, Also I had to tilt the machine so it would drain into my sump pump. I can get the humidity below 70% in the basement

    • @ITSTHISEASY
      @ITSTHISEASY  9 місяців тому

      Did you try cleaning the coils? If there is a lot of buildup on them you can clean them. You can look this up on Amazon here is the link.
      Frost King ACF19 Foam Coil... www.amazon.com/dp/B007I7KZN0?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
      I used this to clean my outside AC coils. Make sure you wear safety glasses and unplug the unit. Spray that on and then let it sit no longer than 10 mins. Then make sure you don’t get any water in electrical parts and hose it out outside carefully just to take the chemicals off the unit.
      When the coils are caked with gunk it won’t work properly and build up ice. That’s caused from dust etc in the area.
      Also make sure you clean the filter with just water. I haven’t had to clean mine yet but I’m sure someday I may.
      If you try it and it works please come back and let us know. It helps everyone which is why I make my videos. Good luck 😊

    I just watched your video because when I went to clean the filter, I notied that the bucket was full and I thought the pump must not be working. After watching the video and reading your comments, I should not be concerned if the bucket is full as long as the machine does not shut off. It seems you are saying that the pump doesn't kick in until the bucket is full. Should I expect it to drain down completely? Is that one filter the one large rectangular filter the only one I have to worry about cleaning? Thanks for all your help!!!

    • @ITSTHISEASY
      @ITSTHISEASY  4 місяці тому

      As long as it doesn’t shut off and give you an error code yes it is draining. It waits until the contact senses the correct weight I am guessing and I am never there to see it drain but it does because the water level glass is always different when I’ve looked.
      As for cleaning the filter yes that’s the only one unless you get a clog in the bucket where it sucks up the water. There is a screen you could have to clean at some point but I’ve not had to clean mine.
      With the bucket out you can see it and should be stuck up inside. When you push the bucket in it drops into the bucket.
      Thank you for the question and it’s a really good dehumidifier once I fixed it lol 😂

      It’s a high temperature sensor. You have to open it up and look for a wire that says high temp. If it’s plugged in, then you need to replace that sensor.

    Hello again-- I wrote to you on your first video with your pump working very little. I am going to try your fix when I find those tabs and then I will get back to you. But my other question is I see that your bucket is FULL-- so the pump action should be working since the bucket is FULL- right?? But then why isn't the Bucket FULL light ON?? Can you explain the reason why that light is NOT on and yet the bucket IS full and thus the pump should be ON? Ad have you emptied the bucket at all and when doing this- does the pump start again once the bucket fills up again? Thank you for these in-depth videos.

    • @ITSTHISEASY
      @ITSTHISEASY  5 місяців тому +1

      Hello again, my bucket in the video looks full but it wasn’t yet. Because it’s working now when it gets full immediately the pump kicks on and drains the water now. I have never had to empty the bucket since I fixed it. It’s been running now seamlessly for two years now. It’s set to automatically just drain the water and also keep the basement at 55% humidity.
      It would only show FULL of the pump wasn’t working so you know to empty it. Mine never shows full anymore because it just empties it when it senses the bucket is full. Take the bucket out snd find those two tabs and just pull them out a little. They need to make contact with the bucket or the pump will never turn on.

    • @ITSTHISEASY
      @ITSTHISEASY  5 місяців тому

      Also, as you see in my video and just so you know I just watched it again because it’s been so long since I had to mess with mine. I watched it again so I could remember everything.
      The pump light is on because I want it to pump when it’s full. It have not been around it once when it was actually pumping to see it pump the water out so I don’t know if it ever says FULL. I just know whenever it knows it is full that it pumps out the water now and just keeps running.
      In the video the bucket was pretty full but it must not have been as full as the contact needs to start pumping the water. I am positive if you bend those two metal tabs forward a bit yours will work like mine did and you won’t have to mess with it again. That is assuming you have the same model and yours does have a pump.
      Also, you must use the little hose or it will not pump out the water. The garden hose outlet doesn’t work with the pump. If yours doesn’t have the tiny hose inlet or didn’t come with the tiny hose then you don’t have a pump in your unit.
      I do hope this helps you and please come back and let us know. Good luck 😊

      Check that the inlet tube is not clogged. Also make sure it’s in the upright position when you slide the tank in. It needs to drop in the tank when it slides all the way back.
      There is a screen on the inlet tube. Check that it’s clean and also the actual tubing is not clogged.
      Let me know how you make out with that. If that doesn’t work I’ll think of something else.

    • @ITSTHISEASY
      @ITSTHISEASY  2 місяці тому

      @@bradsronce the tube is inside above where the tank you pull out is. It falls into the tank that holds the water. On it you will see a screen. Take it off and clean it if it’s dirty. Then look in the tube and see if it’s clogged.

      You need to watch the video again and pull those metal tabs. Also, make sure when you put the tank in that the part that drops down actually drops down into the tank.
      Before you place the tank in make sure the thing that drops down is pushed back up before you slide the tank back in.
      That part is how the water gets from the tank to the pump.

    • @ITSTHISEASY
