REMARKABLY similar to my 1994 and 1996 Nissan D21 pickup trucks. (Very rough idle and poor gas mileage, no acceleration). I was afraid I was forgetting a last, hidden screw? But NO, your video showed it's just a forceful wiggle / pull upwards to remove the black plastic crank angle sensor. MY screws were "thread-lock " glued in, and I damaged one. (will buy a new one and NOT use thread-lock). Needle-nose vice-grip pliers saved the day on that stripped screw! Thanks...
Just did this today, My cas died on the road ... had to do ecu codes 87 turbo . luckily only code 11 was shown ... oreillyauto had a cas "importDirect" brand , thankfully it works ... It appeared to be the original part so 36 year old cas went to the ghost ... there was no warning of failure so that still has me spooked , checking wiring and such . but it seems to have been just old. thanks for the video
So I took mine out and after I reinstalled it following what you did I have this extra round metal plate with three screw holes left over…. Did I miss something
I bought a CAS from Autozone and it was defective out the package, just beware; i warranty swapped it for another one and my issue was solved. Autozone doesnt seem to have the best quality control.
So ive been having an issue with my Z bogging around 3-4k rpms almost like its hitting a fuel cut or something. DO you think it could be the CAS issue? i've replaced the MAF, TPS, adjusted the TPS, fixed the timing with a timing light to hit 20 degrees (i have a 1986 NA), still having the issue. Do you think it could be this or something else? like the mechanical timing maybe? Thank you for the help.

Really nice, clear video, many thanks.
Thanks for the knowledge 🙏🙏
That's a pretty engine bay.
Good info
He man I have a cuestion?? How much charge for build a engine same the one you have
I have not turbo and I want the same engine built you have
will a cas cause limp mode on a 85 z31 where it wont rev above 2000 rpm?
2k under load or just in neutral? Sounds like a MAF
