I have only one pick for the G1 and that's Zack Sabre Jr. Then he would win the title at WK19 from whoever is champion at that point. By the time he's ready to drop it, maybe Dominion 2025, Yota Tsuji will be ready to be the next standard bearer for New Japan.
they need to push Gabe Kidd and Nick Nemeth to the moon, they need to find a way to get a passionate audience outside of Japan and they need to do a tour of surrounding Asian countries.
I don’t think it was good idea for Powerhosue Hobbs to challenge for IWGP Championship! Especially since I don’t think he was ever in new Japan one time! Also in New Japan championship matches earned not just handed out! Plus it make Swerve in AEW look like a mid card world champion! I can see where the New Japan guys are coming from!
First, I agree about Hobbs getting unnecessary iwgp title match. It should've been takeshita. 2nd, njpw is all about regaining titles and handed titles, as you can see why the hell is Kenta and Owen's give the tag team title shot ? And why Finlay won inaugural global champion after he lost the never openweight title to tama tonga. So njpw always gives free title shot, whether he is outsider or homegrown talents. 3rd, swerve is not look like mid. He's over with fans. And he can wrestle incredibly. I disagree with that statement you said
@@NoviakHow has Forbidden Door been a favor for NJPW when NJPW talent constantly lose to AEW talent. How has AEW taking Okada, White, Will been a favor. How has Mox holding the belt making NJPW talent sit around waiting for Mox been a favor for NJPW. NJPW hasn't gained anything from AEW. NJPW is in a transitional period since losing Okada. It's going to be a rough few years until they get back on track.
@@newageweeb4049 AEW didn't "take" New Japan talent, those wrestlers were signing with any company that would pay them what they asked. New Japan also makes a ton of money on Forbidden Door, and in terms of promotion, it helps their brand. These are just misconceptions that paint the relationship as one sided, while it seems like they both help each other in nuanced ways
NJPW is my favorite promotion i really hate to see them struggle, Merging the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and the IWGP Intercontinental Championship was a huge mistake and getting rid of the lineage’ there no reason to do that they just call the IWGP Heavyweight Championship the World Heavyweight Championship and keeping the history.
They are way too focused with using outsiders, guys like riddle, mox(he is kind of signed to njpw but mainly aew) Nemeth. They need to overhaul some of their factions and focus on guys like the Reiwa Musketeers and the wardogs. They need to drop some of the belts because they have like 20 belts and by god some of them mean nothing. I got into njpw in 2020 during covid and they weren't perfect back then but nowadays they seem like they have no clue what they are doing booking wise.
House of Torture absolutely needs to go. It was frustratibng to watch an otherwise very good NJ Cup be sabotaged by their antics. But then there's War Dogs, and that could be a bigger problem. There's part of me that loves these guys--they're young. they're hungry,. they're visceral, and they've been a breath of fresh air after three years of HoT schlock. There's only so far that the envelope can be pushed, though.
They spent too much time investing in North American and English speaking wrestlers when AEW came around guys left not just because of money but dont underestimate how great it is to walk into a restaurant and order without a translator.
We kill Gedo. And we start pushing the remainder remaining wrestlers. We have ZSJ and Shingo Takagi are some of the best in the world and consistently give out amazing performances. While we have alot of underrated talent with the rest of War Dogs like Clark Conners and Drilla Maloney. I thought ELP was going to get a push considering how he was in last year’s G1. BOSJ 31 made me realize that Kosei is the future of the jr divison
Fantasy booking for House of Torture: I feel like with House of Torture, maybe instead of disbanding them, just change the way they operate. Make them the sadistic Voodoo-Murders of NJPW. EVIL could lose a big title match, and then not show for months. Suddenly, we get a new EVIL, a sadistic brawler. Togo could still be his manager but wouldn't interfere as much. Narita could be the same, but a lot more stoic. SHO could become the heel we all wanted him to be and drop the goofy act. Kanemaru is perfect the way he is. Easily H.O.T.'s best member currently. Yujiro, however, may need to go back to Bullet Club. I don't see his personality fitting in with this faction. Maybe Great-O-Khan could join this version of H.O.T. to add to their heavyweight ranks, as the United Empire isn't nearly as interesting as it once was. I think that it's fine for them to still cheat, they're heels after all, but maybe not to the degree that they're doing it right now. With Bullet Club, David Finlay is easily their worst member, and easily the worst leader. He's the least interesting member of all the War Dogs, the sub-group he hinself created. The fact that Finlay was chosen over El Phantasmo as the next leader of B.C. made no sense, and the United Empire has lost its spark entirely. In my fantasy booking, The United Empire could disband and go their separate ways, with TJP joining ELP's Bullet Club. Great-O-Khan could join H.O.T. (like stated before), Jeff Cobb and Callum Newman could join TMDK, and HENARE could've started his own faction with Gabe Kidd, Alex Coughlin, Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney. B.C. is just an absolute mess in general, with all the different sub-groups. There are currently 5 different B.C. sub-groups (6 if you count B.C. Neutral), with 3 of those sub-groups in different companies; B.C. Gold in AEW, ABC in TNA, and the Rogue Army in Tamashii. Idk about anyone else, but the Rogue Army needs to disband. They add nothing to the group (though maybe you can bring the Natural Classics over). ABC needs to either leave B.C. or join B.C. Gold, because just like the Rogue Army, they contribute nothing whatsoever. In my fantasy booking, H.O.T. would be a completely separate entity from B.C., and the War Dogs wouldn't have been in B.C. to begin with and would've just been their own faction.
Novi: Makes several good points about the internal issues with NJPW Everyone: AEW IS TO BLAME, AEW IS HURTING NJPW, TONY KHAN IS THE ONE DESTOYING NJPW When the anti AEW narrative clouds actual facts, its insane
I was wondering what was up. I don't see AEW doing anything wrong. They have done their part but if you are NJPW what do you want from them besides crossover talent?
Glad to hear! Its something I considered because I think his time should be soon, but in service of getting Shota to that next level, I think it's worth it!
@@Noviak Okay I can definitely see that if Shota is to get to the next level! Possibly becoming the next Okada? The man to carry the company on his back! Zack has won two New Japan cup but still can’t win the title!
I think they should bring the IWGP Intercontinental and the US championship. But the number 1 thing is to fire GEDO. Dirt would be better at booking then him
Shooter is like a half Tanahashi/Okada and Tsuji is like a half Naito/Nakamura, meanwhile Kidd makes a better Shibata than Narita, I haven't got to see Oiwa and Fujita because alot of Gedo's booking puts me off, it doesn't help that TK's parasitic partnership bled them dry
100% agree woth you. Shota should take the belt from Mox. And UE... they used to be my fav faction and now they're boring also war dogs are on fire. Just have Gabe Kidd as the leader.
The issue with this is that Umino is an awful nepobaby. Easily the worst of the Reiwa Musketeers, though to be fair Narita ain't shit either. If there is gonna be an actual Reiwa Four, it should be Tsuji, Uemura, Wato, and Oleg, not those two negative aura twigs.
I think the big thing is also factions need some reworking. Bullet Club as a whole either needs to come back together as 1 or just disband all together into separate factions. House of Torture, War Dogs, Rogue Army, Bullet Club Gold, ABC shouldn’t all be existing because Bullet Club is always past the inflation of NWO. A new leader needs to come in to unit Bullet Club or just change the branding to only War Dogs to keep the foreign heels they are suppose to be. CHAOS lost their leader in Okada and again either need a new leader or just disband because half of their team is Best Friends who are just off doing their AEW feud. LIJ is still good and already has their next leader when Naito eventually retires in Yota Tsuji They need to make United Empire and TMDK a bigger deal with Jeff Cobb and ZSJ becoming bigger guys too. G.O.D. just doesn’t have a reason to really exist for much longer with the potential of Hikleo leaving with his brothers to join WWE. I feel like overall they have to just get rid of some factions and introduce new ones or just bring in a bunch of new life into the factions that do exist and clear up a lot of confusion Edit: I forgot about Just 5 Guys but keep them around a solid group of 5 guys trying to make a name for themselves and prove the naysayers wronf
The main problem with Bullet Club right now is the branch groups aren't together. BC is literally the faction that with its history and its goals should be set for its run to culminate in a global army takeover arc before disbanding for good. Now would be the time for that arc, but all the branches that should be forming the tree of BC's Four Kings Final Era are instead acting like the others are nonfactors at best and pretenders at worst. And since they're all heels, not all in the same place, and at least one company they have a branch in is maintaining a narrative that depends on BC being treated as midcard 4 life, there's no civil war happening either, so the whole thing feels aimless. This is coming from a Bullet Club mark, btw.
@@g-coalitionbrother1729 I hard agree, so many of the groups are else well, Rogue Army not on main NJPW anymore, Wardogs claiming their the real BC while House of Torture is there and they don’t do anything about it. Jay White who was kicked out of Japan and a new leader came in is now trying to lead Bullet Club Gold with 1 previous member and then adding The Gunns. ABC are in TNA without any interaction with any of the other BC. Either get all the branch groups on the same page or just do what Finley says and only call them Bullet Club and everyone else aren’t a part of Bullet Club, let’s it go back to just being foreign heels. Jay White, David Finlay, EVIL all can’t be leaders of Bullet Club at the same time. There’s even members like Taiji who is like ABC where he’s in Japan but isn’t tied to Rogue Army, Wardogs or HOT and is just floating around as a member of Bullet Club all by himself. Need some cohesive
NJPW has been up in attendance this year compared to 2023. The attendance only dropped when Moxley won the title. This is not a matter of opinion, I don't even dislike Moxley. I don't really see the rationale behind putting 0 blame on the lack of interest in the Dominion main event on Moxley. It comes off as motivated reasoning, "I dislike HOT and like Moxley, so this must be why" sort of thing. You either haven't looked at the numbers (which is fine) or you are very biased in favor of Moxley. I lean toward the latter considering your reaction toward NJPW talent shooting or worked shooting on Moxley and AEW. I have 0 issues witb it regardless of if its a shoto or a work, and I dont really understand why I should even be bothered by it. One of the best things about NJPW is that wrestlers can (or we are made to feel like they can) speak quite open mindedly about their genuine views on things. I personally think NJPW just needs to stop pandering to western smarks (me included) and do whatever the core Japanese audience wants.
Tl;Dr: I like Moxley, but attendance is up from 2023, except after Moxley won the title. I find it entertaining when they dunk on AEW and Moxley, idk why I shouldn't. NJPW needs to ignore western smarks, me included.
The Wrestling Dontaku tour average was down 54 people per show, while not great, you can blame the overeliance on Tokyo for this tour (3 shows in 5 days for this tour solely, they did 2 shows in Tokyo early april, one of them being Sakura Genesis) and no Goto anniversary show
@@user-sf9sd8on6i So the thing that you don't take into consideration is that the rest of 2024 was UP compared to last year. So being slightly down compared to 2023 is actually worse than it looks, because you should be UP to meet the tradjectory to begin with. I personally think there's a lot of people just grasping at straws, any many of those people are AEW first and NJPW second fans who have clear motivated reasoning, not saying that's you.
@@BigmanDogs YOY growth can be a bit misleading since Japan was still coming out of the pandemic and tourism was barely coming back plus there was 2 farewell tours going on for Will and Okada. Also for wrestling donatku, no okada on tour shows Meanwhile In actuality, Everyone knew Naito was winning at the Tokyo Dome and he only slightly increased attendance. For the most popular wrestler in Japan to only slightly increase attendance over a pandemic stricken Wrestle Kingdom, that had competition in the form of Mutoh Tokyo Dome show is a not a good thing either… So losing 50 seats on average to have a transactional champion to create a market in American and a new star in shota is not a bad thing.
@@user-sf9sd8on6i Low attendance numbers at Dontaku tour wouldn't have happen if Naito was the champ, Moxley being absence was the problem. The Hiroshima show on the tour have biggest drawing crowd because Naito was in the main event. This year Sakura Genesis which had no Okada, outdrew last year Sakura Genesis which had Okada in the main event, same with the anniversary event. So you're argument that Dontaku tour was doing poorly because there was no Okada is complete BS because NJPW attendance was doing fine/better before the Dontaku tour without Okada thanks to Naito.
1)I would book ELP as the new leader of the BC. Add TJP 2)Finlay, Kidd, Drilla & Connors can be the War Dogs (Foreign Heels) 3)Book Jeff Cobb as a monster and new leader of UE (add Callum Newman) 4)Book Tsuji, ZSJ & Umino as babyface Aces 5) Get rid of HOT
Putting the stupid butterfly title on Mox was the latest mistake. NJPW needs to get their bloody shit together! Hiromu and Despy do not need to go heavyweight. They are proud to be Jr. wrestlers and unlike you, there are some people who want them to stay Jr wrestlers. NJPW needs to take better care of the new faces in the heavyweight division. Tsuji, Yuya and Shota and UE needs consistent booking. UE especially needs to be booked as the new top stable. Bullet club needs to disband. The group is dead and i am sick of Gedo pushing BC down our throats! Speaking of which, House of Torture needs to go away! David Finley is not a bad wrestler but he should not be getting main event bookjng over guys who are better than him! He is not ready. The company also needs to bring back the original IWGP heavyweight title and get rid of the butterfly belt! In fact get rid of all the useless titles and just keep a small number of belts! Iwgp, never singles, and Jr singles. Get rid of the 6 man tag belts and unify the tag team belts into one set of tag titles where both heavyweight and junior wrestlers can compete for them! Chaos should disband and Shoto should form a face top face group to replace. Also what right do you have to say the wrestlers should not bloofy complain about the booking of the butterfly belt! They have every right! NJPW is working with a company that is run by an immature man child who has no idea how 2 book matches properly! Why njpw works with AEW at this point is beyond me! And work shoots will exist so get over it! Hobbs did nothing to earn a title shot. He keeps losing (not his fault but I digress). If njpw wanted a foreign wrestler to hold the top title they should have gone with Danielson or Claudio! They are much better wrestlers than mox and their matches don't put me 2 sleep! I agree that njpw needs to be fixed and soon but I disagree with some of your suggestionsm
It's not a mistake, depending on what the new near-term plan is (doubt that Gedo/Jado expected to lose Okada/White/Osperay basically all at the same time either); not sure why Naito's reign got cut short, but if "Shooter" Shota Umino is seemingly the next guy to carry things, and they're going with the Moxley-Umino story to crown him, Moxley carrying the championship for a while, Umino winning the G1, and facing Moxley at Tokyo Dome is a big swing to take, but a big swing that makes sense. Line up SANADA vs Tsuji, and EVIL vs Uemura, while have Naito still target the IWGP scene, Sabre Jr join him in the IWGP scene, and tell the fresh stories with the new faces (even though Naito and Tanahashi are the only proven Tokyo Dome draws still signed to NJPW, which can shift Gedo's calculus)
Nah, mox winning the title was the best decision they made. He can give the title to young talents was the best way to elevate them. So that no one will complain. Danielson and claudio ain't sign njpw, only mox does. So shut up

Jeff Cobb should be put in the main event scene. He has the ability and the potential to have the Vader aura, a big, stiff and killer foreigner that can destroy anyone at any moment. Have Gabb Kidd, Gedo and the BCWD (Bullet Club War Dogs) betray and kick out David Finlay and beat him for the Global Championship since most of those guys besides Drilla (since he fits with the aesthetics of the War Dogs) were in training together in the dojo together. Make Naito have a match and lose against Tsuji, when he does he announces that he is going to retire and make Tsuji the new leader of LIJ then allow Tsuji to bring in his own “pareja’s” like Naito did with SANADA and EVIL. I’d have Shota actually go on a run to beat the former stars of NJPW to cement the fact that it is a new era for the young guys (Tanahashi, Naito, Goto etc.) Narita should leave House of Torture and go under the wing of KENTA, since the comparison between him and Shibata and establish that he wants to me for of a killer like KENTA was in NOAH. They should bring back the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and you can do that buy putting it on either ZSJ, Shota, Tsuji or Cobb and they demand the old title back with their reasoning to bring back the prestige of the title.
This is what they get pushing only okada for a decade. Making the same mistakes wwe made with hogan and cena. I don’t get why these promotions push 1 person over and over I stopped watching new Japan because of it. How wwe used the rock was the best way to use a top guy he’s so over it does not matter if he loses sometimes you can use their star power and status to elevate other potential top guys
Their name is New JAPAN Pro Wrestling, not New America Pro Wrestling. Their job is to cater to the Japanese fans, not the American fans. I'm not a big fan of HoT but if the domestic audience see them as proper heels then it is what it is. I don't mind Mox as champ but the New Japan talent have all the right to shit on the guy. They have a proper reason to do so. He's only present for the big shows and never present for their tours.
Their domestic audience ISN'T a fan of HoT, that was the point. If they were, they'd be main eventing Dominion. I can see your point when you say they have reason to do so too, but it doesn't make them come off as anything but dorky especially when it's obvious they're part trying to work.
@@NoviakWhat metric proves that Moxley has nothing to do with the fans voting for super junior final main event Dominion? Attendance went down during Moxley's first tour as champion compared to last year. Attendance has otherwise been up in 2024 compared to 2023.
@@BigmanDogs The reason why I put the blame more on Evil and HoT, is Evils last title challenge versus Sanada which BOMBED in every metric. Mox hasn't done anything like that
@@Noviak More or all? You have yet to make a single negative statement about Moxley's title reign as far as I'm aware. Jon Moxleys first tour as IWGP Champion underperformed in attendance. Sanada vs Evil at Dominion did 1k more in attendance than Dominion in 2022. They probably expected more, but it did in fact not "BOMB". Once again you just come off as operating on motivated reasoning. I just think that the scenario of Moxley's title reign being a flop is unacceptable for you, so you need to look for any excuse available to rationalize why Moxley has not only done bad Business for Dominion, but the entire Dontaku tour. You didn't even spend a single second in the comments or in the video admitting that he was a negative draw for the Dontaku tour. Someone who is unbiased would likely have done that. That's the difference with me, although I'm not a fan of putting the title on Moxley (though I don't dislike him), I would have admitted it was a good idea if the attendance had been good or at the very least on par with the 2023 vs 2024 tradjectory.
@@BigmanDogs I don't have much negative to say, because I don't feel the same way you do. I also haven't seen a single reputable source saying they're down attendance wise after Mox won the title. Also, even BEFORE Mox, attendance was always going to be iffy this year after losing two huge draws in Okada and Ospreay. I love both companies, I have no bias here, but you're not looking at this with any nuance, so there's truly no real discussion to be had.

I disagree with that statement you said
@@mr.buttler1649 Well at least they’re set up with an attack or something! Is Swerve over or is Prince Nana over?

Working with AEW hasn't done NJPW any favors.
It's done them a lot of favors, Forbidden Door being a huge one. This isn't true
@@NoviakThe low views and attencde for Moxley bouts in japan beg to differ!
@@zemox2534 If that is the case, that's more due to his opponents more than him. He proved during his previous run in NJPW, post WWE, that he's a draw
They don’t need “Saving” they are perfectly fine as is. They will build up more stars and that’s it.
BINGO.
Building young talent is on tanahashi 10 point plan
Also, Yuya needs to go back on excursion somewhere else that isn’t TNA. Dude had a bad match with Shingo. That’s almost impossible.
Great video man. You have some great points. Keep up the good content ❤

Just subscribed. Great video.
Thank you very much!
Love this idea and would be 100% down to see it!
Novi: Makes several good points about the internal issues with NJPW
Everyone: AEW IS TO BLAME, AEW IS HURTING NJPW, TONY KHAN IS THE ONE DESTOYING NJPW
When the anti AEW narrative clouds actual facts, its insane
I was wondering what was up. I don't see AEW doing anything wrong. They have done their part but if you are NJPW what do you want from them besides crossover talent?
I like your fantasy booking of G1 climax this year! But do you think it’s a good idea for Zach to keep losing constantly though?
Glad to hear! Its something I considered because I think his time should be soon, but in service of getting Shota to that next level, I think it's worth it!
@@Noviak Okay I can definitely see that if Shota is to get to the next level! Possibly becoming the next Okada? The man to carry the company on his back! Zack has won two New Japan cup but still can’t win the title!
Gedo need to stop pushin whoever he is managing
Gettin rid of interference/evil and house of touture is another of tanahashi 10 point plan
I think they should bring the IWGP Intercontinental and the US championship. But the number 1 thing is to fire GEDO. Dirt would be better at booking then him
Gedo booking is safe he doesnt risk it only problem
Shooter is like a half Tanahashi/Okada and Tsuji is like a half Naito/Nakamura, meanwhile Kidd makes a better Shibata than Narita, I haven't got to see Oiwa and Fujita because alot of Gedo's booking puts me off, it doesn't help that TK's parasitic partnership bled them dry
NJPW needs to learn how to pay their performers
LIJ is still good and already has their next leader when Naito eventually retires in Yota Tsuji
They need to make United Empire and TMDK a bigger deal with Jeff Cobb and ZSJ becoming bigger guys too.
G.O.D. just doesn’t have a reason to really exist for much longer with the potential of Hikleo leaving with his brothers to join WWE.
I feel like overall they have to just get rid of some factions and introduce new ones or just bring in a bunch of new life into the factions that do exist and clear up a lot of confusion
Edit: I forgot about Just 5 Guys but keep them around a solid group of 5 guys trying to make a name for themselves and prove the naysayers wronf
This is a great video, though I watch AJPW, GLEAT and NOAH over NJPW at this point
Agreed with the House of Torture BS
ZSJ is ready and can hold the top foreign spot
Tsuji is the most ready in his batch but I think Shota has most potential
Also for wrestling donatku, no okada on tour shows
Meanwhile In actuality, Everyone knew Naito was winning at the Tokyo Dome and he only slightly increased attendance. For the most popular wrestler in Japan to only slightly increase attendance over a pandemic stricken Wrestle Kingdom, that had competition in the form of Mutoh Tokyo Dome show is a not a good thing either…
So losing 50 seats on average to have a transactional champion to create a market in American and a new star in shota is not a bad thing.
Tbh I think zsjr should have been iwgp champion the guy is super great in the ring and all way's puts on wrestling clinic all the time
Nah zsj should be iwgp jr champion
1)I would book ELP as the new leader of the BC. Add TJP
2)Finlay, Kidd, Drilla & Connors can be the War Dogs (Foreign Heels)
3)Book Jeff Cobb as a monster and new leader of UE (add Callum Newman)
4)Book Tsuji, ZSJ & Umino as babyface Aces
5) Get rid of HOT
I agree with some of your points here, especially bringing back the old IWGP belt! The new one just doesn't have the aura the old one did
It's not a mistake, depending on what the new near-term plan is (doubt that Gedo/Jado expected to lose Okada/White/Osperay basically all at the same time either); not sure why Naito's reign got cut short, but if "Shooter" Shota Umino is seemingly the next guy to carry things, and they're going with the Moxley-Umino story to crown him, Moxley carrying the championship for a while, Umino winning the G1, and facing Moxley at Tokyo Dome is a big swing to take, but a big swing that makes sense.
So shut up

@Noviak I'm just happy.I'm not the only one who don't see the appeal of David Finley. Gedo way he treat top star leaving show is time has come!
I’d have Shota actually go on a run to beat the former stars of NJPW to cement the fact that it is a new era for the young guys (Tanahashi, Naito, Goto etc.)
Narita should leave House of Torture and go under the wing of KENTA, since the comparison between him and Shibata and establish that he wants to me for of a killer like KENTA was in NOAH.
They should bring back the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and you can do that buy putting it on either ZSJ, Shota, Tsuji or Cobb and they demand the old title back with their reasoning to bring back the prestige of the title.
No gaijins,there saved.

How does AEW hurt domestic NJPW booking?
Back when they had Kenny Omega and Christian they were on top of the world what happened
Losing on ur way out is a custom in wrestling to show respect to the business and to the company n put ova a younger talent
