Yes after 6 tries I got it! I was not increasing correctly. Every other round you do 4 double crochet ch 2 4 double crochet in the v stitch cluster like we see in video. Then, It I opens it up to do three v stitch clusters on the next round in the corners. I was not doing that and it made a tube like someone said. I am so excited to finally make this! It’s so beautiful! For months I racked my brain on what I was missing. Thank you for this beautiful pattern.
@@mopearsonsepulveda8595 the two sets of four double crochet on each end will create 3 sets the next round on each end. So you do 3 on each side. Every other round. That’s the best I can explain it. I’ve made four of them and even one for my 1 year old granddaughter.
I'm gonna make this for my mom. She's been asking me to make one for her. And she says that she likes this pattern among a long list of poncho patterns in UA-cam. Thanks! 🥰😍

She said at the beginning of the video to chain 80. After that you follow her instructions. At the end of the video she said how many rounds she crocheted and that you can do more or less depending upon how long you want it. She also mentioned that she used 4 skeins of medium weight yard (241 m each or 100g each). In the notes section the tools and amount of yarn is mentioned also. I'm not an expert at crocheting but the instructions she gave in the video are very easy to follow, even for me.
I love this poncho, BUT....the written pattern is not the same as the video. What about the 2nd stitch marker ?? and there is no stitch count. Sadly, I am lost!! Thanks anyway....pretty poncho, and so simple but I need to be exact.
I have started making this poncho at least four times. It appears that the pattern is written for a small child. I can not get it over my head and it looks like a little tube. The pattern does not lend itself for the poncho to grow outward
Is it possible that the beginning of the row always slips slightly behind the second stitch marker? Otherwise the pattern won't work. You have to continue doing the pattern even after the 2nd stitch marker until the round and the pattern are really finished. The new start of the round is then a little away from the stitch marker. It would be good to include that in the description. This is not described in crochet patterns that you can buy either.
Like everyone else, I keep making a skirt. I don't understand the increase. The pattern is written incorrectly and the increase isn't explained in the written pattern or video. Can anyone help? I read the comments & I still don't understand where or how to increase.
In row 3 put an additional 3dc ch2 3dc into the space you marked with the stitch marker (in addition to putting the normal FPdc, 3dc ch2 3dc, FPdc sets into the 4dc of the row below on either side of the stitch marker) and put the stitch marker back in the 2ch. In row 4 work 4dc into every ch2 space until you get to the two points with the stitch markers. Into those stitch marked points you put 4dc ch2 4dc and put the stitch marker back in that ch2. In row 5 you work FPdc, 3dc ch2 3dc FPdc into every single 4dc block on the row below, including those on either side of the stitch marker, plus you put an additional 3dc ch2 3dc into each of the stitch marked gaps. Your stitch markers go back into the ch2 of those additions. Then in row 6 you do exactly the same as row 4, row 7 exactly the same as row 5 and keep going. Does that help?
