Hilarity is that: 1. People see the drama as facts 2. People don’t realise what creative license is 3. She personally has inserted herself into this, if she hadn’t watched/had no involvement in the situation why has she inserted herself into all this? “That’s not me…” yet she has come forward… 4. Does she look like the actress Martha though???? I wouldn’t have put 2+2 together if I spoke to her, only comparison is weight and Scottish accent… 5. Baby Reindeer is a stunning piece of television. The characters name is Martha, not Fiona, and even if it was Fiona, it is STILL a DRAMA. Does no one realise the difference between a DRAMA and a DOCUMENTARY!?! People are way overthinking this. In the end of the day Gadd and Netflix have done nothing wrong. If it was a documentary lol that would be a different story, and they would be monsters for doing so, but it isn’t. It is a wonderfully vulnerable play adapted to television. End of. I mean…her coming out like this and showing her colours, it is safe to assume that Martha is based her, but that was her own doing, not Gadds. Also she is a desperately unlikable person, does that mean she isn’t in her right to be angry, no, but I’m good with detecting bad people, she is definitely one of them. The interview was hilarious, you just had to listen to her contradictions to know she has dug herself into this hole. Absolutely no sympathy, she’s done this to herself, and the popcorn is delicious!
The difference is Fargo wasn’t basing any of its characters on an easily identifiable person and accusing them of having been in prison… I dislike Fiona and think she’s awful. But I think Netflix dropped the ball on this one
I think Piers is milking the “even if I sent those messages…” point a bit too much. This is normal lawyer talk, where they put their case first and then the second possibility if the legal test for the first count is not met. That does not mean the first possibility wasn’t true.
@@tamerfilly I was referring to a phrase Fiona said herself in her interview with Piers. She said “even if I sent those messages that doesn’t meant that…”. Piers thought it was a weird thing to say, but it’s not. It’s pretty standard, I’d say. But I agree with you that Netflix should have made the claim that not all of it is fictional more obvious and not in the fine print.
I get what you mean now. The credits at the end was a disclaimer. However, having to go to court, claiming its a true story, and it's part not, will be such an interesting case if it goes further.
So her story is she only met him three times and didnt know him well. But if you watch she goes on to say she was in love with him and they were friends oh but wait she isnt interested in "little boys".. Ummm miss your story makes no sense. Me thinks your not telling the truth.
I thought she said yes when he asked her that question but she said “pierce… is that a serious question?” When she says pierce, because of her Scottish accent, it sounds like she says yes but she didn’t.
She getting any kind of reward for that behavior will be horrible for all her victims because she definitely stock those peoples and disturbed their life’s.
I made a mistake, I said Martha ( as actress) when her real name is Fiona Muir. It's all over UA-cam and Facebook. I said tweets, opps, so sorry, yet irrelevant. She uses two names, Harvey and Muir. Scottish newspaper in 2013 claims she stalked two politicians. Donald Dewar first minister and the late MP Jimmy Wray and his wife Laura when she was a former Labour party member.
IT DOES SAY IN THE END CREDITS THAT NO-ONE WATCHED INCLUDING PIERS OBVIOUSLY THAT PARTS ARE FICTIONALISED. FUNNILY ENOUGH I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CATCH A SCREEN SHOT OF IT. DELIBERATE?????
Piers was extemely manipulative, and repeated several times 'even if you had sent all those emails, it doesnt mean you attacked or abused him'' words to that effect, getting her to agree, but she never admitted to sending all that, he just twisted it like he wasnt the one saying it!! Im not saying she was innocent, but Piers was putting words in her mouth.
I personally feel very sad for her. She is constantly being mocked on her Facebook, and attacks negative comments about her. Even down to the actress who played Martha, as being grossly over weight, and nothing like her.

No, they used her actual posts from facebook. So they identified her. Because those posts were unique to her.

Right on
If you watch the intro on Fargo carefully, it faded out the word “true”. Fargo is known to be not a truth story since the beginning.
LOL.L In Fargo it was tongue in cheek. Everyone knew it was fictional.
The difference is Fargo wasn’t basing any of its characters on an easily identifiable person and accusing them of having been in prison… I dislike Fiona and think she’s awful. But I think Netflix dropped the ball on this one
Says so in the commentary lol love that movie 😂
love Lorraine and Piers xx
Piers, getting home every day looking about his front door wondering if someone is lurking, watching 🤣.
Really rate Piers Morgan... I think he always gives a fair and balanced platform, even when he 'personally' may have a differing view. 👍
Richard Gadd said previously that the real Martha didn't go to jail.
I think the ending was to give closure to the situation. They knew the audience went on the horrendous ride and wanted to give us closure.
Where did she say that?
She certainly deserved to go to jail.
Please lord Netflix, let Martha write her own tv series drama about her relationship with Gadd. Just be fun to see her perspective 😅
I bet in her version he groped her instead hahahhahahahaa
Omg GENIUS!
No thanks lol
It would be all about how he wanted to sleep with HER, but she couldn't because he had a big green spot!
She needs help or a jail sentence
She does not deserve $1 for this interview.
How do we know it is her, this is the power of the media it might be another wacko , you don’t know. She could be an imposter..
Richard would say it’s an imposter lol
I have replied below.
That would be wild! 😅
If she gets obsessed about getting paid by Netflix, then she will go all the way.
Anyone heard of Fargo? People thought that was real. And it wasn't based on anything real
It seems pretty stupid of Netflix to not just say "Based upon a true story."
Fiona Muir is Mark E. Smith
at the end credits it says some bits fictional.
But it shouldn't though be at the end but on the start of the series.
@@caramelbunbuns327 im thinking of the legality ie can she sue if it says some bits fictional

Whether Netflix added the comments at the end of its credits or not, it's hard to catch, yet someone has. That's interesting !

Her name is Martha Muir ... Her nephew has come forward and stated she did go to prison... Her Facebook account has nearly over 100 tweets a day....

Doesn't Netflix have other shows where they say the true names of people. Like when they do The Crown? Happens all the time.

I think if Richard Gadd doesn’t go on Pier’s show that says it all - that she is the real Martha.
Wow Cat Deeley looks old these days
For some reason i do believe this woman. 41k emails? I mean, seriously?
@Mature it works out at around 7.000 a day.
If it is true, it should be pretty easy to find them. They can be deleted but they will never be gone.
She has been to jail and she sent 300 messages to Keir Starmer she is clearly mental
No evidence of her ever being to jail apparently.
