@@CookingWithCJ CJ I made this yesterday in my nfg using the same marinade and OMG it was delicious!! Was the first time I ever used a meat injector too. Thank You again for these great video cooks. Bless You.
As always, thank you for this timely video! Question: do you think a turkey breast of similar size could be made in the Ninja Foodi (8qt size)? Stay safe, and happy holidays to you and yours!
I'm goin' in, CJ! Just re-watched your vid so I'm fresh on the details. Only thing I didn't see was total cooking time... just curious. I need to plan around this. I saw your reference to 30 minutes in, it was about 104 degrees there. Can I ***assume*** it takes another 15-20 to get to optimal temp? THANKS MUCH!
Hey there, I really don’t cook to time. I cook to internal temp of the meat. Pull it at 160 internal, then let it rest carryover heat will take it to 165. That said 45-50 min you should be close if not there already. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Thank you, CJ! Yes, overall, it did take me about 45 minutes total turkey cooking time. I guessed pretty well at when to start/finish other dishes, but the turkey was THE BEST! I don't consider myself a good cook at all. But family who know me thought I did SO GREAT because of this delicious turkey. And leftovers tonight!
#PeanutGalleryAgain! Dang you, my turkey video is going to be a little similar this weekend. Same rub, similar injection but a whole bird in the pellet smoker. Amazing color on that bird ! The juices on the board said it all ! That CBP is really a killer ! Great job CJ !
CJ, THAT TURKEY LOOKS AWESOME!!!! SOMETHING IS WRONG I TRIED THIS BIRD POWDER. I HAVE 20 TURKEYS CROSSING MY STREET EVERY MORNING. I'M OUT THERE CHASING THESE BIRDS WITH THIS POWDER TRYING TO PUT THIS ON THERE TAILS... THERE FASTER THEN ME... LOL!! GREAT COOKING MAN!!! KEEP IT TURKEY...
Does it tell you how long it will take? I couldn't see that on your Ninja control panel. I was just thinking of the veg etc you might do to go with what you are cooking so you have a target time for it all, or even if you wanted to roast potatoes in the grill with it you would need to know the timing.
I used the smart probe, so it went off internal temp of the turkey. I think it ended up cooking for 40ish min. The good thing about the grill is you can lift the lid to check the cook.
@@callaflower221 in came to ask the same. I am doing one tonight to practice before thanksgiving. We will be camping & don't have many options cooking then.
HI! First time posting but a long time watching... ALL the Butterball Turkey Breast Roasts weigh in at 3 lbs, fyi. You are always my go to recipe guy for the Foodi XL grill! Love your recipes CJ!

Thank you!
Looks great! Would you use the same settings on the older Ninja Foodi?
Hey thanks! Yes I would.

Lol Hey thanks brother!
How long did you cook? I don't have the grill with the probe.
About 45 min. I would invest in at least a digital read thermometer so you can check the internal temps as you go.

Will this fit in the regular foodi grill?
Yeah shouldn’t be a problem
Fab!
Thank you!!
looks good CJ
Thanks James! Cheers
About how long did it take to cook? That looks like it could be a weeknight meal if it doesn’t take too long.
Didn’t take longer than 30 min. I wasn’t timing it though sorry.

Is the Tony's spicy
Not at all, just good flavor
@@CookingWithCJ Thank you!
For those of us who got the foodi without a temp probe, please give us the total cooking time. Thanks.
Should be around 25-30 min. It’s an older video, so I don’t quite remember.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. 🤩
Thank you!
