This was the first country song that I remember my Dad playing on our old record player in the mid 60's. Always loved the guitar in it. Kenny nails it! Love these guys! Thanks, Marty ....for keeping real country music going.
Love the moment at the end, these guys have been playing together for years, but at the end of this one they knew they caught lightning in a bottle. Look at the reactions of every one of them after the last notes faded …… magic to be sure
Marty/Superlatives are my favorites El Paso is my favorite song they perform.Have seen them four times in the "No Uhaul state" way way out west . Hope to see them again !!! Them boys are the real deal.
So glad Marty is touring. He has the talent and old friends like Johnny Cash, Willie, Waylon, Kris K., Johnny Bush, and many more dead and alive that he draws from for his unique performance and his unblemished character. A true living legend, along the great Willie Nelson. Treasure these one of a kind individuals for their original voices and personalities.
Looks like the same place in Berlin where the Opry troupe played for the USA servicemen around Thanksgiving ,1949. Hank Williams ,Red Foley, Little Jimmy Dickens, Roy Acuff, Minnie Pearl, Rod Brasfield all performed.
Took my 32 year old son to see Marty and the Fabulous Superlatives this past spring in Franklin NC. He commented, "the best darn show that he has ever seen "
I love watching the videos but I’m in awe when seeing them live. My wife said it looked like I was having a religious experience during the first time we went to see them.
Ich habe bis jetzt noch nicht Kenny Vaughan (Marty's lead guitar player) gesehen und gehört mit eine Martin D45 guitarre ! Wunderbar !! Grüsse aus Elsass/Frankreich.
He went his own way and set up his own group with his family members and you see him doing back up with various singers and is on a tv series called Country Road.
Well Howdy Doody boys we can't understand a word you're singing in this venue. I guess it's all about the look and the legacy, right? Hell they don't speak English anyway.
Real musicians, real voices, real talent. No auto tune. Bravo boys!!!!

Such talent... Great job. I do love MS and the Fabulous Superlatives!
The Fabulous Superlatives - a well deserved name indeed!
Looks like the same place in Berlin where the Opry troupe played for the USA servicemen around Thanksgiving ,1949. Hank Williams ,Red Foley, Little Jimmy Dickens, Roy Acuff, Minnie Pearl, Rod Brasfield all performed.
Awesome cover!
Beautiful. Reminds me of Marty Robbins.
I'd be content if I could learn to play about 20 seconds of this song on guitar. I love watching them do this song.
A fantastic musician terrific band great singer all round
These guys are so so so good. It's great to witness real talent and musicianship.
Note: The dumb word "underrated" was not used in this comment.
God, I pray they perform this when I see them in two weeks! A flawless cover!! ❤
Saw them several years ago in Colorado. One of the best concerts I’ve ever attended.
Did not realise marty was still with us. Gotta love that generation, real men there.
The live version in Napa back in October was stellar. What a sweet surprise that was.
great guitar work!
Nice cover of this classic. Very well done. 👍👍
I reckon if you took ANYBODY who doesn’t know about Marty would come out of that theatre a massive fan of this great group.

@@billponder5182 Great taste for music in your house Bill.
Kenny is quite a guitar player!
Wow, Marty Stuart & group nailed this Marty Robbins song. The lead guitarist nailed Grady Martin accompaniment & riff in between song.
The lead singer has a beautiful voice
I love watching the videos but I’m in awe when seeing them live.
My wife said it looked like I was having a religious experience during the first time we went to see them.

RIP Maty Robbins
I wonder where the original bass player is? But they did do this song good. 👍

@@raymondoakford8357 I watch that all the time on UA-cam.
Thanks for the info.
@@yvonnepeters1914,
Not to take anything away from the new guy but the band without “Handsome Harry” just isn’t same.
@@oldmanfred8676 yeah.
One of the few real country performers left. Saw Marty live with Garth and he was way better than Garth
Well Howdy Doody boys we can't understand a word you're singing in this venue. I guess it's all about the look and the legacy, right? Hell they don't speak English anyway.
Nice but not half as good as Marty Robbins’s. Version.
Cousin Kenny!…big nod to the original Grady Martin version…Superb.
