I mean, cause the only thing AI about it is the old school soul voice. The music and performance is human. I think IAMM really undermined the artist King Willonius by just calling it "AI generated". As if it was written, produced, and performed by AI.

AI made the entire track. the only thing man made is the lyrics, which were typed into a computer. the AI did everything else, including the vocals. this is not an AI algorithmic voice changer like that fake Drake & The Weeknd song. AI actually composed this song itself. thats how much it has progressed in 1 year. by next year, you won't need humans to make music at all.

As a producer I must say this is not how that beat was created. It was made using a mpc, time stretch, and warping the sample to fit the drums he laid. He used the drums from the original song as a drum sample under his drums. He had to speed the sample as that is how most of us get more sample time in the mpc. Then he keyed it up to alter it slightly from the original.
This sounds close in the end, but the process was not the same!
I agree with you. I don’t know the exact process of how metro put it together. I did originally think the same as you. Speed up the tempo like on an MPC and the pitch will go up as well. In logic there is a flex mode called Flex Time that does just that. I tried that first, but when speeding up the sample the resulting pitch is higher than it needs to be which led me to believe the sample was manually transposed.
@@imamusicmogul nah what I think you do is you have to load the sample at double it’s usual play speed. Then you key it up to the note you desire. You create drums first. Then stretch the sample over that pattern. That’s how I see him getting it all done.

You could screw around with Eqing etc. But there are several AI programs that stem your mp3. Not perfectly. But useable after polishing it yourself.
