My 83 yo MIL and I live alone with no male to help us do repairs. We are both on limited budgets and I had to repair the broken handle on my 2006 F250. It was so easy to follow the instructions that even I could do it! I don't know what a repair shop would have charged me, but I was able to fix it in a couple of hours for less than $30. Thank you so very much!
This video is great. Someone tried (unsuccessfully) to get in my truck and broke the door handle. Thanks to your video I was able to replace it myself in less than 30 mintues. Great detail and explanation. I'll be back for my next diy repair for sure!

I had someone steal my truck. A truck that I have had for almost 20 years with tons of family memories. I was fortunate my truck was recovered without anyone getting hurt or the truck. Thieves did damage the ignition key and door lock. Thanks for this video! Looks like an afternoon job for all four doors on the truck because of this helpful well-done video. EZ Thumbs up! 👍
Consider getting a steering wheel lock and a gps magnet stuck to bottom of truck, if you think it happening again is a possibility. I just got my F-250 a month ago after 33 years of dreaming about getting one so I'm taking no chances! Lol.

I had my door apart to replace the door adgar sensor and I had removed the handle. I couldnt get it back together untill you showed me the view of reattaching the lock lever...Thank you for that view!!!

Crazy how much effort is required to remove the rods from the inside of the door and the handle and the amount of effort it takes yet on reinstallation you can see that he just effortlessly snaps the two rods back into their guides without much effort at all it seems

Overall good video. It really did help. More detail though. I am not overly bright so I ended up breaking the green piece. I didn't know what you snapped to remove. So I snapped it and broke it on the hinge. After I saw it was a simple latch on the other side. But had no idea and the vid did not cover. Still. Thank you.

Hey Guys, great video. Very easy to follow along and get the job done. A thief was successful in breaking the panel on my truck so I will definitely be using your video for the replacement. I have three questions though; 1. The thief damaged the lock itself, what do you recommend I do for the broken lock? 2. Does any of this affect my key-less entry? 3. I have red panels that match the red identical to the truck in the video. I want to keep the red but can't seem to find red panels on the internet. Any suggestions? Again, thank you for your video and looking forward to your comments and future videos of yours I know I will use.
At 3:18 how do you separate those teeth without ripping off your knuckle? On the passenger door there isn’t that big hole.

My locking rod came off on the bottom when I was putting a new door handle on my 2004 f250. Video was great . well until locking rod on the bottom came off as I was trying to connect the top.. Help
not sure where the bottom part goes

considering this lock for a custom/retrofit into a door that has a lock that is hard to obtain. (steyr truck). what direction do the BOTH rods activate things with this handle to create a lock scenario? Any help would be greatly appreciated

you can put your 1/4" extention on your cordless drill and cut a good 10 minutes off your labor time. just be sure to put it on the lightest setting for reinstalling so you don't break your new handle.

What about on the F350 driver rear door
What is the part number of the green clip that conects whit the door handler? 4:08
How does the instillation and part change when replacing for keyless entry? I noticed on the 1aauto site that the listed part won't work for keyless entry. Any advice would be appreciated.
I would think Ford would have put some gasket type or sealant to keep water from seeping in around that handle from the outside.

The green clip that you pry open @ 4:22 what is that part called? I just ripped my whole door handle off this last week in the Texas freeze, and broke that clip in the process. TIA

+Lenyn Henríquez Torres In this case you will have to attempt and remove as many bolts or clips holding the inner door panel on to gain access to the inside of the door. There should be a rod or wire to pop the door open so you may replace the handle appropriately. 1aauto.com

Save your money from 1 a auto handles! Order factory ones from tasca parts.. emailed 1a no response all 4 handles scrub and are warped. Cheap design.
2001 has no access to the latch - and i mean nnnnoooooonnneeeeee!!!
I’m working on 2001 now. Passenger side is not the same. Doesn’t have that big access hole. I cant get that clip out. How do you separate the teeth?
