@Michael Mathers I think the endings completely depend on the kind of story they are telling. A happy ending is easy but it can be cheap if it doesn't feel earned. But making a story sad for no reason other than to surprise people would just piss people off. Sometimes stories don't have a happy ending but the story and the themes have to justify it.
@Michael Mathers Sure, but nothing in this story implied that this is the route they want to go with this story. If you just tag a bad ending because plot twist... Well you know what happened with the last season of GoT. If you want a bad ending, it has to make sense. Establish that and then build on it. Brotherhood is about hope and human connections, it would make no sense to have all their hardships mean nothing.

The idea of "giving Alchemy for Alphonse" was more of the idea that people with the power to create would never give it up. The truth saw this as a god complex in a way. It's like you value it more than you arms, legs, you would give up your own life before you give up Alchemy. And when you think of it that way I like the solution Ed came up with.

No. I've learned not to rec shows I love to RTTV anymore. 1. They sleep on the really good stuff like #VinlandSaga. How long did we have to beg before they FINALLY watched episode 2 to see that we were right? 2. Rob has no appreciation for art. It kills me cuz he's one of my Haitian bros but doesn't understand basic storytelling. Like I will NEVER rec them #BananaFish because let's face it, it's too mature for them (altho I'm sure Rob would love the ending) and gets too raw with disturbing themes. Rob would totally ruin it. Plus the manga is better anyways since the anime is almost an abridged version of a 9 year long series (should have had as many episode as FMA:Bro but rushed the story in 24).
The moment you realize that rob wanted al to stay in that void and starve to death because he was losing faith in Eds plan and questioned his existence on episode 12.......
I would love if you guys watched Code Geass. I feel as a group of men and the content of Code Geass you would be thoroughly entertained and it is a well respected and loved anime.
FMABH is very plot driven, its not action packed.. it has action but its more about the character development and the plot, it all ties in, not a single episode is side tracked or random.. every episode contributes to the show. Theres some people that dont really care for good dialogue and story and just want to see action (rob) fmabh is the anime ive seen the most.. i can watch it ovber and over and not get bored.
X GON GIVE IT TO YA The ending was perfectly fine u just dont understand it. There is no further manga or s2 so no cliff hanger its just gonna be a normal question with all the messages of the anime
Sir Snow no the ending is complete bs, he somehow manages to stick that supremely strong parasyte with a rusty pipe which makes no sense, that woman parasyte sacrifices herself for no reason and the parasites all disappear for no reason, awful writing
If Al died the whole point would've been ruined. His soul went to his body and he waited for Ed. He gave a promise and after all the darkness they finally saw light. Ed sacrificed the one thing he loved to do the most- alchemy. With Ed sacrificing his alchemy he proved his growth. He believed that he can solve everything with alchemy, that alchemy is the only way and by giving it up he admitted that he was wrong. If Al died fr the whole meaning of the show would've been ruined. They wanted to gain something they lost and they faced their sins, their fears and nightmares, sadness, loss and etc. They deserved this happy ending after all the pain they went through. The whole show was dark and depressing, if you want a different ending go watch FMA 2003, but I think that this ending was perfect and everyone got closure. If you rewatch it you will appreciate it even more.
Rob should not be thinking about WHO lost their lives, but who was WILLING to lose their life. Every soldier, fighter, Alchemist, hell, every PERSON was ready and willing to die for this fight, for the sake of Amestris. THAT is what Rob should be thinking about.
I like how everyone on the couch is calling out Rob over being mad about Al living, I mean the good guys did loose people. Buccaneer died as well as a bunch of Briggs soldiers and Greed, and Fu and Hoeinheim. So Rob being mad saying the good guys need to lose someone is weird. He just hating for no real reason
Everyone always forgets about Maes. Stakes were raised when he died. I don't get why people say there are no stakes when Father literally snatched god out of the sky.
Rob might not have the most popular opinion, but his honesty and not pandering to anyone's viewpoint is refreshing. He believes in his shit, even if it is shit.
This is crazy! The dwarf is like a representation of Lucifer, and the lesson was if you don't want to be bound by God, then you don't actually want power. Becoming your own God only brings despair
Full Metal is always a good recommendation for someone who has never watched anime before. Solid, concise story with an ending that wraps everything up.
Lmfao 21:50 everyone starts clapping and rob gives a little clap and looks at the camera like "here, this is what you want, right? As amazing as Hajime no Ippo is, I'd rather not have Rob react to it since he'd bitch and hate Ippo the entire time...
Saxayone they should just get rid of rob, he ruins the vibe all the time
MetaKite true rob probably would hate on ippo and praise miyata and takamura. And no matter what ippo does rob would still clown him
@@ViDeWaFFuLz, you know he would. I realized this when he started hating on Killua in HXH. Like WTF is with this guy?
Another great anime in the books guys!! What we watching next!?
Ja'Mario Franklin i want parasyte the maxim so bad
I suggest noragami, tokyo ghoul or parasyte
@@sirsnow371 great series but let's agree no rob
The moment you realize that rob wanted al to stay in that void and starve to death because he was losing faith in Eds plan and questioned his existence on episode 12.......
I’m glad that you guys understood the philosophical context to it! Thats what makes this anime the GOAT for me.
Overrated
Max Power and your opinion is irrelevant
@@kingalch3mist247 overrated son. Repeat it with me!
Ov-er-ra-ted
@Max Power “That’s what makes this anime the GOAT for me.” Repeat it with me... “FOR ME”!!! so again, YOUR OPINION is IRRELEVANT!!! And I thank you! 😎
Its bitter-sweet to see the FMAB reactions end. Glad you guys finished, but wasn’t quite ready to see it go.
Rob Last Episode: I'm not hating on Al
Rob This Episode When Al Hasn't Come Back: *yEs!*
I've never met ANYONE who hates Al, I'm actually wheezing LMFAOOOO
FMAB has such a satisfying ending! I wish all shows would wrap up as well as this one.
Satisfying? Ed can't use alchemy and Al can that isn't satisfying at all
I would love if you guys watched Code Geass.
FMAB GANG! 🙏🙌🍻
thanks for the journey, gents! glad y'all watched this, such a superb story.......now just get to WATCHMEN & WESTWORLD
Can ya’ll replace this anime with parasyte the maxim pleaseee???
Bruh that would literally be amazing
Sir Snow nah the ending for that sucks
Shiku Bah frr
X GON GIVE IT TO YA The ending was perfectly fine u just dont understand it. There is no further manga or s2 so no cliff hanger its just gonna be a normal question with all the messages of the anime
Sir Snow no the ending is complete bs, he somehow manages to stick that supremely strong parasyte with a rusty pipe which makes no sense, that woman parasyte sacrifices herself for no reason and the parasites all disappear for no reason, awful writing
Rob looks like someone took his ice cream and gave him brussel sprouts though this whole series
You understand that you are getting a lot of hate and losing a lot of money (potential Patreons) because of Rob, right?
Please watch The Full Metal Alchemist Bloopers there actually pretty funny.
The GOAT anime.
Nah
Which anime is then?
@@sharsasuke01
JoJo
Monster
Mob Psycho
Gintama
HxH
Max Power tweaking . Fma is one of if not the greatest
@@MrNotaComedian after the ones I just listed ye
Rob. Ed and Al have been through too much too not get their bodies back.
This guy really said lose his life for a cause, bro the entire cause of the show was for him to get his body back🤣
rob know he kapping when he said goblin slayer is better
I sincerely hope Rob never attempts to write a script for anything, man's got the most one-track mind in existence.
BLOOPERS!!! YA GOTTA WATCH THE BLOOPERS!!!
Rob should not be thinking about WHO lost their lives, but who was WILLING to lose their life. Every soldier, fighter, Alchemist, hell, every PERSON was ready and willing to die for this fight, for the sake of Amestris. THAT is what Rob should be thinking about.
"he needs some milk" 😂😂😂 that got me outta nowhere 🤣
You know how twisted someone is when that person hates on Alphonse
I like how everyone on the couch is calling out Rob over being mad about Al living, I mean the good guys did loose people. Buccaneer died as well as a bunch of Briggs soldiers and Greed, and Fu and Hoeinheim. So Rob being mad saying the good guys need to lose someone is weird. He just hating for no real reason
Nobody gives a shit about half of those characters. 0 stakes, overrated
Everyone always forgets about Maes. Stakes were raised when he died. I don't get why people say there are no stakes when Father literally snatched god out of the sky.
@@Merlithemimic father was a shit and uninteresting villain. The Hughes stakes were non existent cos he died as soon as you met him. Rushed asf
Rob might not have the most popular opinion, but his honesty and not pandering to anyone's viewpoint is refreshing.
He believes in his shit, even if it is shit.
Y’all should watch the bloopers they’re mad funny
You guys HAVE to see the official bloopers from FullmetalAlchemist! They are mad funny
You could make a powerplant out if all the hate and salt Rob puts out
This is crazy! The dwarf is like a representation of Lucifer, and the lesson was if you don't want to be bound by God, then you don't actually want power. Becoming your own God only brings despair
This man Rob hate Al like CRAAAAZZZY lmfaooo. If you want that big Sacrifice watch the 2003 FullMetal Alchemist then
Someone should make a compilation of rob hatin on all these amazing characters for no reason: let’s start with zuko lol
Lol or making up reasons just to hate them like how Eleven from Stranger Things was racist 😂
Watch prison school next 🤣
Full Metal is always a good recommendation for someone who has never watched anime before. Solid, concise story with an ending that wraps everything up.
Rob must not have brothers...
That guy keeps interrupting when he doesn’t like something. The others looked annoyed. Good series people! Fate/Zero next pleaseeee!! 💪🏻
Lmfao 21:50 everyone starts clapping and rob gives a little clap and looks at the camera like "here, this is what you want, right? I'm not sure why I'm clapping but I'll do it"
Reading rob hate comments gets annoying but ima have to be a hypocrite here because he was so annoying in this show because he didn't understand very much, he needs to stick to shows like dbz or mha. The whole watch through was basically 25% he was asleep, 70% brain dead blank expression and 5% some kind of facial expression. I feel like most of this show just flew right over his head.
And lol I'm not trying to hate and attack this guy but honestly 80% of the time he spoke I could barely understand anything he said and I'm starting to think it wasn't even english.
liquidmetal LOL
No. He liked hxh and he was confused asf through that as well. Not everyone has to think a show is GOAT tier
@@MaxPower-cm6ie But the problem is he literally makes the dumbest statements every episode. If he payed attention and didn't like it it would be fair but he only watches closely during action scenes and then acts like it's shit.
This was the series that made me find RT TV around fmab ep 4 and im so happy i found you guys :)
To compare, you should watch the original Fullmetal Alchemist series also.
Hell no compared to this 1 its wayyy to slow and kinda trash
@Sergio Rivera Naw man come on get real
@Sergio Rivera I love the 2003 one but music, animation, and voice acting are all better in this one
@Sergio Rivera Plus the bad guys dont feel super op like in the original FMA
@Sergio Rivera What's your point? The story is not about them. The fake church guy who was fooling rose in the beginning of the story also had a better ark in the 2003 version who cares???
Rob usually says 1 thing worth listening to per series at best, but I can't think of any for this one.
If y'all think this the most twisted and saddest animes, watch Beserk.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! Y’all NEED to do the fmab bloopers!! It’s the only right way to end this series ✨👌🏿
Damn Rob...you gotta be dumb
Mad salty because Ed and Al accomplished something they wanted since Episode 1
Someone aint paying attention 😂
Not even a year later, and Rob already calling FMAB the worst ever.
Where?
Hxh and full metal has always been like a mj and Kobe comparison. Most consider fmab close to hxh but not above it. I personally like hxh more than fmab but fmab is very close as a second for me.
Fax. Whenever you escape the mainstream hivemind circle jerk of FMAB, and actually look inside what real anime consensus is, majority favor HxH.
Idk why i got Fmab over HxH chimera ant was dog shit
Everytime one thinks Rob can't get dumber he proofs us wrong. "gObLiN sLaYeR iS bEtTeR tHaN fUlLmEtAl AlChEmIsT!!1!11"
My fucking god..... 🤦♂️
