    Could you do like a fundamentals video for form on things like push-ups, pull-ups, chin ups, crunches, etc.? Maybe I’m just not in shape but I’ve been trying to do these a few times a week and my elbow and wrists hurt during and after, but mostly my elbow.

    Really dig the stretch flow. Gone through similar forms in martial arts and yoga but nothing like this, thanks for sharing!

    My friend used to be gymnast, he said that stretching was most painful part for him, like when you do the straddle stretch, but he told me their coach used to literally push them down in order for legs to get enough flexibility for movements...

    Just a really great flow with all those, covering the whole body in a short amount of time so it's doable and therefore consistent. I've been doing my own routine with 2 min holds (sorta like Yin Yoga) for about a year with good progress but I feel like active stretching is where it's at at this point.. super stoked to find your video and appreciate your time in creating it. THank you! Shane DPT/LMT

    Great video, thanks. I will give the routine a try. Some of the stretches I do in yoga and others I had picked up elsewhere or figured out myself. I’m way too old to be a gymnast but it seems a lot of fun to learn some the basics.

    If you're sore from stretching the previous day do you still stretch again the next day and at the same intensity?

    • @JakeDalton
      @JakeDalton  3 роки тому +5

      I would stretch but if your super sore you could go a little lighter next day

    I watched your video to get a better idea how male gymnasts stretch... to add color to a story I read about a male gymnast observed stretching in a gym and this caused him to get kidnapped by a sadist to be kept as a sex slave.. i believe that was a true story as well

  • @MrJamesSantiago

  • @dalmatianluvr

    Well, TBH, I enjoyed watching you doing these warm-ups, but it would be sheer agony if i tried most of the stretches, and the flips, well, Fail!
    The opening montage did remind me of how much I miss watching you perform! And those stuck dismounts, YES!
    Stay warm and de-iced! lol

    There are no gymnastics videos for adult men just like stuff for little girls, literally anything else has this martial arts parkour ANYTHING, like you start off with stretching and then we start with this that or the other kind of lessons.
