Clearly you want to hate this game for some reason...not sure why..just not open to change I guess. I'm assuming you haven't played it. The Cinematics are few and far between and are placed carefully where they will have the most impact, there is FAR more playtime than in any previous GoW game, the skill level required is much higher, and the character development is far superior. Atreus is actually very useful with pretty intelligent AI and serves as a great partner to Kratos due to their conflicting personalities. Not sure what you want out of a child who was raised by a father with zero social skills out in the middle of no where. He can get annoying for one section of the game, but it's rectified relatively quickly. Sad for you, everyone is super happy with this change, so it doesn't look like we are ever going back to the old model. Which is good, because who the fuck wants to play the EXACT same game with the EXACT same mechanics and EXACT same revenge story line 5+ times. The game was getting stale.
New Game Plus/NG+ means that you start a new playthrough with all the upgrades/abilities you unlocked from the previous playthrough. So instead of starting with a Kratos that has nothing, you start off with an upgraded Kratos. This all can allow you to get a full 100% upgraded Kratos.

Using Meteoric slam and then Thamur's Breath right after makes one of the coolest combos ever. Think about that, raining burning balls of hellfire on the enemy as well as the impossibly cold winds of hel piercing them at the same time. Literal Freezer burn to it's maximum extreme. Only thing that would make it cooler is if the meteors actually got caught in the vortex and added a burning effect to it
I do wish there were more slots for runic attacks Feel like it’d give you a lot more versatility without having to awkwardly change to different attacks in the menu mid-fight
I get surprised everytime when I see how underrated glaive storm is.The stats are bugged or something it shows 3 damage but I think it has the best damage output. It is really viable in any situation, boss fights or chaotic crowded fights. It is the best heavy runic attack in the game everyone should try it.
some of the runic attacks here are now skills in GOW Ragnarok, like Blast of Hephaestus for the Blades of Chaos being now Kratos' backdash attack if learned in Ragnarok. kinda like that they streamlined the runic attacks and skills as i didn't use many of the runic attacks in 2018. now i use skills a lot more often in Ragnarok
That's something I liked: stuff like Blessing of the Frost felt kinda pointless, whereas stuff like Tyr's Revenge or Leviatha's Wake could've easily been done as regular attacks. On my last playthrough of GOW 2018, I barely used any of the light runnic attacks for the axe, except for Hel's Touch, Njörd's Tempest, and Wrath of the Frost Ancient; and lo and behold: those were the runnic attacks that came back for Ragnarök
Peter Amobi cuz some moves only look cool, and not very practical in real combat. And some moves are just better than other. It also depends on the way a certain player plays.
It depends on your playstyle, I personally like heavy hitting runes with moderate stun, pair that with Loki’s shock arrows and see that stun meter fill up
I like how some of the moves are straight out of the previous games. Tartarus Rage, Cyclone of Chaos, Rampage of the Furies (it was the L1+O move in GOW2 and at the beginning of GOW3), Icarus Storm is even out of GOW1... and pretty much every move you see is either from the previous games, or a variation. I love it.
tyr's revenge is my favorite, it can inhibit a bigger creature like a troll, while you deal with the smaller ones. Rampage of the furies is a favorite too.
I know in Ragnarok they made a lot of these attacks as skills, when moving backwards with the blades, Kratos does an attack similar to the Blast of Hephaestus, and f you hold R1 Kratos does an attack similar to the River of Knives attack.

4:15 you shall not pass
Fool of a BOI!
This game needs a ng + mode asap....
J Junior What's a ng + mode?
New Game Plus/NG+ means that you start a new playthrough with all the upgrades/abilities you unlocked from the previous playthrough. So instead of starting with a Kratos that has nothing, you start off with an upgraded Kratos. This all can allow you to get a full 100% upgraded Kratos.
TYRANNICAL Oh cool thanks!
They're working on it, should be out in the next few updates
XxJigsaw_GamesxX sure ?

Atreus: father calm down it's just a spider
@@andermousecheese5609 The spider is a god
Kratos: It’s free real estate
Hel's touch is an underrated attack.
not really, almost all op builds use it, and yes i know this is from 3 years ago.
Using Meteoric slam and then Thamur's Breath right after makes one of the coolest combos ever. Think about that, raining burning balls of hellfire on the enemy as well as the impossibly cold winds of hel piercing them at the same time. Literal Freezer burn to it's maximum extreme.
Only thing that would make it cooler is if the meteors actually got caught in the vortex and added a burning effect to it
Boy- "Father pass me the lighter"
Kratos- 6:19
Meanwhile the boy 'are you exercising?'
I love how every name given to the moves is a reference to the Mythology they come from.
And a reference to the original Greek games
I do wish there were more slots for runic attacks
Feel like it’d give you a lot more versatility without having to awkwardly change to different attacks in the menu mid-fight
Kratos uses mega attack:
Atreus just standing there: So who's the boy?
I get surprised everytime when I see how underrated glaive storm is.The stats are bugged or something it shows 3 damage but I think it has the best damage output. It is really viable in any situation, boss fights or chaotic crowded fights. It is the best heavy runic attack in the game everyone should try it.
I’ve always thought Tyr’s revenge was kinda OP because you could punch while the axe spinning making extra dps.
It does suck however if you didn't upgrade the hand skill tree.
Runic seems powerful here than Ragnarok
some of the runic attacks here are now skills in GOW Ragnarok, like Blast of Hephaestus for the Blades of Chaos being now Kratos' backdash attack if learned in Ragnarok. kinda like that they streamlined the runic attacks and skills as i didn't use many of the runic attacks in 2018. now i use skills a lot more often in Ragnarok
Wow... why didn't most UA-cam players never used this abilities
Peter Amobi cuz some moves only look cool, and not very practical in real combat. And some moves are just better than other. It also depends on the way a certain player plays.
but we can all agree blessing of frost is overpowered as fuck XD
It depends on your playstyle, I personally like heavy hitting runes with moderate stun, pair that with Loki’s shock arrows and see that stun meter fill up
barbarianbijuu do you know how high the runic boost is you get from blessing of the frost?
Jose Brito dude call him Atreus you spoiler
The blades of chaos attacks bring back so many memories!
Wish you did these on actual enemies instead of oxygen.
I love it.

But does make u FEEL like a god??
@@kidnamedfinger2840 The point is actually the opposite.
I love the blessings of frost starting animation. It sends chills down my spine seeing him yell with rage like that.
1:30 strange ressemblance to a skyrim's thunder lazer attack

I love this game, it makes you really feel like a god. Kratos can slow down time and throw out a dozen of hits in milliseconds.
5:27 *legit thought it said rampage of the furry’s*
The Leviathan axe is good but the old weapons never get forgotten and they remain destructive.
Who's happy that kratos's axe is a thing in God of war?
Brok:” handle her nicely or she’ll break beyond repair
Kratos: 3:19
😂😂😂😂😂👌
WONDERFUL!THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ABOVE NICE ARRANGEMENTS.AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND RECOMMENDATIONS.👌👏
Atreus : Father, What are you doing?
Kratos : It is Runic Magical Weapon Direction Training, Boy.
Atreus was like, what was daddy doing..
tyr's revenge is my favorite, it can inhibit a bigger creature like a troll, while you deal with the smaller ones. Rampage of the furies is a favorite too.
That's cool, apparently everybody knows the getsugatensho now
Glaive Storm is my fave despite dealing low damage, it doesnt miss at all..
It deals high very damage with enchantments and high runics
They are missing some of these attacks from the new game and they need to bring them back
Yup and also they need to add more runic attacks on the draupnir spear as well.
I know in Ragnarok they made a lot of these attacks as skills, when moving backwards with the blades, Kratos does an attack similar to the Blast of Hephaestus, and f you hold R1 Kratos does an attack similar to the River of Knives attack.
