    Violinist here!🙋‍♀️ What they are describing is exactly what happened to me. I started playing violin when I was 9, and the hours I spent over the years rotating my right wrist and arm forward to position the bow onto the string rotated my shoulder too, and eventually adhered my shoulder in a hunched position and twisted my entire torso into scoliosis! Block Therapy has been perfect for me to release those adhesions and restore symmetry. I've made so much progress already! Thank you Deanna and Quinn!

      Is your scoliosis going away ?

    • @positivepinkpixie3208
      @positivepinkpixie3208 2 роки тому

      @@pruholli4229 Great question. Scoliosis is a stubborn bug, and it took a lifetime to develop and will probably take a lifetime to get rid of. It's still there, and it may never straighten out fully. But the curvature itself wasn't the issue for me (i.e. I didn't have any neurological issues from it), the problem was the pain.
      While my scoliosis may not be gone, my chronic pain is. Block Therapy has taught me how to manage my body, and unwound the tension to the point that pain is not a concern for me anymore. Sometimes, because of life's imperfections, I neglect my posture or am under significant stress and my common pain points come back. The nice thing is, though, that one Block session is all I need to chase away that pain for good - that's how effective it is!

    My 22 year old son has severe scoliosis and the doctors say only surgery will help. But that would take away all of his mobility. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 12 months old. His curvature is 82°. I would dearly love to try block therapy with him. For myself as well. How would you recommend beginning?

    • @Fluidisometrics
      @Fluidisometrics  11 місяців тому

      So sorry to hear about your son - we do have a scoliosis program that your son would surely benefit from! It combines the Starter Package with Block(s), an Assessment with a therapist, and Membership access to help him work through a custom program for his needs. You can also follow along yourself with your own Starter Package or sharing with him, whatever works for you!
      If you would like to purchase an additional set of Blocks but share only one online program, feel free to reach out to support@blocktherapy.com and we can help you with this.

    I'm missing a significant part of my shoulder blade due to a jaw transplant. How should that affect my cardio and resistance training?

    • @Fluidisometrics
      @Fluidisometrics  Місяць тому +1

      Has the surgery created scar tissue that is prevent full range of motion in your shoulder? If you don't address that and you continue to do resistance training, you could be causing distress in other areas of your body as it tries to compensate.

    • @IaintAI-m9d
      @IaintAI-m9d Місяць тому

      @@Fluidisometrics Yes, a lot of scar tissue. I self trained myself back to full mobility through ignorant determination.
      I was just wondering how my recovery compared to others with a similar impairment.
      Personally, I don't believe I could have attained athletic level condition without this impairment. It forced me to focus on balance and symmetry with every movement.
      I use about 80% max load with dumbbells for most resistance training.
      For myself, I find having my feet together and closing my eyes during some movements like dumbbell curls, cause me to wobble.
      However, it forces me to lock into perfect balance and symmetrical movement. It feels like walking a tightrope. It feels great! Kind of like a micro flow state.
      Thanks for the reply.

    Thank you for sharing! When I do this exercise and try to engage my core, the lower right abdomen balloons out when I’m trying to contract it. Do you have any suggestions for how I can fix this or why this may be occurring? Thank you kindly!

    • @Fluidisometrics
      @Fluidisometrics  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi there. Try to engage the core on the exhale only. Relax on the inhale to allow your belly to expand. Try the twist in each direction and see if this helps.

      Hi, Christina!
      Have you tried our Sampler Program before? The Sampler Program consists of 9 videos where we share some of the basic principles of Block Therapy, using a rolled-up towel as the tool. This will give you an understanding of fascia decompression and how significant it is to work in your fascia for on-going health and wellness.
      We share some of the positions to open the flow to improve oxygenation to cells, as well as some strengthening exercises to pull your body back into better alignment.
      I will link it below incase you are interested!

    Can you help with pinched nerve

    • @Fluidisometrics
      @Fluidisometrics  3 роки тому

      Yes, absolutely. A pinched nerve is caused from compression due to a collapse in the body applying the pressure on the nerve. We need to release the cause of the pinch to release the pressure applied to the nerve.
