What pedals do you use with acoustic guitar? Would you say my room is haunted?
Aphex acoustic exciter!
The phase switch is inverting the soundwave. Is useful for better matching with monitors on stage avoiding feedback and to match the soundwave when used in conjuction with microphones. You can't ear difference alone by itself.
Nice review. Thanks for the upload
Thanks!
Phase should sound same, it just helps in case of feedback issues
Yep makes sense!
Hey ..... very nice vid. Thanks for taking the time to demo it. My question is and my issue is, most everyone is demo-ing steel string guitars only. Have you run your nylon string thru this? Your input would be great...since I see you have oneninnthe background.
Hmm interesting question, I've actually never tried a nylon string guitar with an acoustic pedal. The one I have doesn't have any electronics in it so it has never really been an option.
dude chorus on + max speed + mid depth is perfect to play the good the bad and the ugly theme
Haha I stand corrected!
As usual excellent
Thanks, appreciate it!
Please can you advise if this would work OK with a passive sound hole pick up. I'm interested in buying this, although the pedal gets mixed reviews on youtube and on the Thomann website, but for the money i'm happy to put up with the negatives.
If you are ok with the reverb and chorus sounds I think this unit is good. I personally prefer different kind of reverb, but that's just one man's opinion. I like the pedal just as a preamp already, so I'd say it's worth the money if you use at least one of the two effects.
@@CatPickStudios thank you for the prompt reply. i'll be putting it in front of a looper. the guitar i'm using has a passive (Fishman) sound hole pick up and the signal strength is too quiet plugged straight into the loop - so it needs a boost. i've already got chorus and reverb pedals that i use with my electric and other electro-acoustics with UST. Thanks again and thanks for the review.
Can I use only preamp without amp? By that I mean to connect acoustic guitar to preamp then into the mixer
Yep, should work just fine!
That's really kind of what units like this are for.
I don't see the off / on switch .
El gitar can it be used ? ok sound ? anyone tested that ?
It probably can but I would suggest getting some sort of guitar unit for the money instead.
Is this an eleca pedal?
What’s an eleca pedal?
A year late but hey, I just got here... ;)
The phase switch does nothing for the naked ear. It is only useful in live situations, with a PA/amp. When the sound waves hitting the guitar from the outside is in phase with it acoustically, they will self amplify and lead to horrible feedback. Invert the phase and viola, no more feedback from hell. :)
Haha yeah I know what's it for, had a weird brain fart when shooting this video :D Thanks!
@@CatPickStudios Cool, bro. :)
Actually, I suspected as much but I thought I'd mention it anyway, just to get it out there. It's such crucial information and I had no idea myself until quite recently although I've been gigging with acoustic guitars since the late 80's. The whole "phase" thing was quite opaque to me until someone finally explained the physics behind it.
Man, the feedback and/or low volumes during solos I've endured over the years just because of my own ignorance. I don't even... xD
Vlad, You had the phase switch on when tried the reverb chorus I'm pretty sure. But for under $100 seems like a decent device. DON
Might be. I just didn't get what that switch was supposed to do.
CatPick Studios the phase switch is for aligning your guitar signal with other signals so you won’t be able to hear the difference unless there’s a second signal to be in or out of phase with
Thanks Jeremy, that's what I thought it is, just didn't say anything in the video and didn't want to add long explanation text in the post. :)
You break it, you buy it!
Why would I break it, I'm not you!
La reverb es muy mala.
This guy doesn’t have a clue!
That’s true.
pointless pedal with no control over mids
Hahaha
