The size you had was perfect if you have a bigger one it will not have enough room that is required, I think if you would have put that small one in there he would have been fine and got used to the groupers then will get bigger but it’s your pond, also good luck on your pond I know you haven’t had the best luck with saltwater tanks/ponds but you have tommy and he’s smart so good luck
@@MultiSuperguy101 Nah, it’s one thing if it’s born in captivity or if it’s domesticated but certain species deserve to live free. Dogs and cats are something else. It doesn’t even have to do with safety as much as it has to do with their own sanity. It’s one thing if you’re killing for food or even for sport but this something else. And before you call me a snowflake too, come back with an argument when you grow a pair, kid.
Exactly. Its supposed live free and hunt and grow with its mother. Not be in captivity in some small pool for the rest of its life for human enjoyment. Imagine just how it is. Being separated from it's own mother. Like, saving it from something and knowing it doesn't and won't have its mother, thats a different thing. But just capturing it and putting it in you're house. Worst thing you could do to it.
Not to be rude or anything but in all shark species the mother leaves and if it's live birth it's a couple hours after birth though it's still wrong to keep a caught shark as a pet and as far as I know it's illegal to do so
A lil story about sand fleas/crabs. I had a cut on the side of my foot and went surf fishing, about 15 minutes into fishing I felt a sharp pain in the cut and scrapping. I washed out the cut and there were two tiny sand fleas/crabs that were digging in my foot where sand had gotten in the cut. 🙋♂️ I never fished barefoot w any cuts again after that lol
Ahhh... That's crazy. I surf fished barefoot for a long time. Till I hooked a big boy 7 ft spinner that was a pain in the ass to land already because spinners are hard to keep hooked. But being barefoot didn't help with my feet slipping in the sand try to pull that heavy fucker in while it did everything to break my line. Ever since I started wearing water shoes with some serious tread and it made a Huuuuge difference. I have heard sand fleas will fuck with cuts on your feet or get caught in water shoes. But I fish in SC and the sand fleas aren't as big or dominant as they are in Florida. They are huge in Florida. In SC you see a few that are big in a net load, but the biggest around there are average in Florida lol. So I couldn't imagine having one chewing on your foot 😂 that's fucking brutal. Fiddler crabs to I bet don't feel the greatest mowing on a cut foot lol.
Bonet hammers are way easier to catch in the inlets at night when the tide is high. They don't really hang outside the inlets unless they are by the jetty's. Put a fiddler crab or shad head on a drop shot rig with a smaller wire and orange or yellow beads in the inlets. Do ot around docks or where there is a lot of rocks or a bridge that isn't to shallow. You will find em. You can get em to hit top water lures some times in the inlets to. That's how I have always caught em anyway. Might be different in Florida.
@@chrisroyal1563 yeah man it was pretty rugged and painful. But I learned my lesson lol. I have seen the one in FL and they're pretty big! I was in San Diego when it happened to me. Depending on which beach you went to they could be huge or small. The ones that got in my cut were smaller. But the lil things go to work fast and dig in. Water shoes are the ticket!
I'm actually early yayyyy haha how y'all been doing? Looks like y'all are having fun. Keep up the great work smoking a bowl while I watch this dopeeee content! Much love from Gainesville Florida 💚👽👽👽👽
Hammerheads cannot be out of water over 90 seconds or it will cause lactic acid to build up and unalive them within 2 weeks, so, taking pictures with them isn't a good idea while it's suffocating. Luckily they have a pretty high post release mortality rate as long as they are released within 90 seconds.

A quick question from someone that knows nothing about collecting sharks, is it humane? Like do they become grown sharks in an aquarium somewhere and it’s taken care of or is it used for meat?
Yea all these Florida fish UA-cam boys are honestly so bad for the hobby. They don’t know what they’re doing they just do stuff for the views without really caring for the animal’s health and well being. Animals are simply accessories for their ego.
They are actually a species of Hammerhead Shark, there are about 8 different kinds of Hammerhead Sharks, a Bonnethead is just one type/variety of Hammerhead Shark
Was wondering if anyone else that watches an aquatic type program would like to hold their breath as long as that shark did. From the time the plucked it out with the net to the time they put the shark back in the water....hold your breath and watch that section and tell me how that goes. Kinda contradictory to this channels basic intent....love of aquatic creatures.
@@chriswagner4341 The whole idea of taking a species of fish or shark from their big aquatic home to a little tiny tank is contradictory of the channel’s message.
