Looks great. I think it would be cool to have a port afterwards that ups the graphics ante while keeping everything else the same. MANY years ago there was a DOS based arcade emulator that did this. I still have it on an old hard disk somewhere, but I cannot remember for the life of me what it was called. It did it with like 5 different games and I'm pretty sure Donkey Kong was one of them. Or maybe adds the Donkey Kong Remix levels variation.
This is amazing. And believe me, I know what I’m talking about when it comes to arcade DK … interesting to see that those upper ends of DK’s ladders at the barrels board are visible. Arcade DK explicitly erases these two parts (you can shortly see them tough when the screen is drawn). Does this also have the pies board (introduced as second board at L=03)?
The new version doesn't display the upper girders at all (as erasing them with sprites is wasteful). Not sure of what you mean by "pies board"? You mean "pie factory" level. Yes, this version has it. And newer version will let you choose an alternate order of levels like in Crazy Kong
This is excellent work, I can't tell the difference between this running on my emulated Amiga and the original ROMs running on MAME.
This looks Ridiculously good, really Arcade Perfection.Such a great all time Classic
