I enjoy watching your videos to see what you and Wiley will bring back to life. I'm a mechanic and truck driver who likes old cars,, trucks,, and equipment. You guys are great. I appreciate that you are here to bring joy to us viewers and aren't trying to pressure us into buying stuff. At times you make me wish I was there with you.
I started working on trucks in 1982 and up by us in the mountains we were still running B model Macks. I remember those super liners coming around for repairs, but the RS700L is still and will always be the most awesome looking rig. The B81 comes in at second, for the most toughest looking rig.
The super liner is and was a great truck, if that truck has good bones it is well worth making a good lowboy rig out of it. I’d watch a good series on that!
My dad bought stuff like that in the 70’ & 80’ i mean Trucks, bulldozers, skidders and we would pull them out of the bushs and crank them . Pull them off sometimes with stuck clutchs till they turned loose . We would work them up , sand blast , paint, decal and put them back to work . Mostly Cats, Franklin, Tree Farmer, John Deere . We done all kind of graders . Dump Trucks of every make model , over the road trucks , log trucks . I’ve rebuilt every engine , transmission, rear end that has ever been made probably, at least work on them . I love these videos. Im eat up with Arthritis now , but im still working . Thank God
In this day and age with the world wanting to go electric 😒 It's so good to see people bringing back these oldschool machine's. Keep up the great work 👍
Hank, I have been around equipment and trucks most of my life. That truck is to clean for a million mile truck. That is a original 155000 on the clock( all the digits still aligned) if the hour meter on the tach works. 4000 hrs does not equal a million miles+ miles she started way to easy and no real smoke other than the nest out the stack. The only thing wrong with that truck she was set out to pasture way to soon
Great video! Brings back memories. My dad was a log truck driver here in south Georgia. He drove two of them old superliners. One was a Magnum with a 500 hp engine, the other one was a nice factory green that we called the green hornet. They were great pulling trucks!
Definitely come back and clear the old girl up, wonder where that one was built? be interesting, great first start, that nest pushing out the stack was hilarious, looks like a great truck, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Loved the super liner Drove one for years hauling coal in western ky But it was a west coast Mack It had a 435 Detroit with a 13 speed it was 1980 model They are tough trucks Great videos fellas!!
This is a dam good truck. Its in excellent condition as well. It just needs a good clean up inside and out. Put some wheels on it and take it home. Dont forget to cut every single tree around it so as to not damage anything. If you can negotiate a good price then go for it.
I drove a R-model mack 300hp with 5 spd single axel for overnite pulling 48ft box.delivering ltl. Nobody wanted to drive the Mack but I loved it. Get that huge turbo spinning and you could almost drive all day long and only use 4th and 5th gear. It would pull the heaviest boxes of tools out of Stanley works and you had to keep looking to see if the trailer was still attached. Effortless! Nothing like the growl of that Mack engine. The only thing as great sounding is a screaming Detroit. My most prized possession is a perfect condition Mack bulldog hood ornament. Keep it safely locked in my safe. Keep up the good work and I am sure that Superliner can't wait to be restored to it's former glory so some lucky guy can " keep it trucking". Love your videos and "admire" your tools. Minimalist to the core
Hello Hank, watching you pull huge amounts of dirt from the engine, an idea came to my mind: how about bringing out a) a mobile power unit, and b) a vacuum cleaner for industrial use? Maybe that will make it a bit easier on you. And this would enable you to get this grit even out of some little nooks and crannies! All the best! Oh, I forget: the lady presenting this video really is a sight to see! Very charming indeed🙂!
I’ve asked this before, but why would you let a good truck like this just go to waste?? I’ve grown such an interest in trucks and heavy machinery thanks to you guys!!
Seems like most of the time people say they are going to restore it at some point but never do or it belonged to a person they were emotionally attached to and just do want to let it go because it has sentimental value.
I think you should have a pressure washing video on it and I think you should do a "will it move?" video and maybe show that front tire getting replaced! God bless you guys!
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. You two just made a great video. That old truck is just not too bad. AND you got it running in no time. Congratulations Hank and Wiley. Another one started!!!!!!!!!! After you got all the trees from around it that old truck is ready to go. It started almost right away for you two. Agree with you it would be a great buy and put back on the road. Good job Hank and Wiley. Proud of you two. You both take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything. My vote is keep going on it and put it back on the road. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I'd love to see it brought back to life, this is coming from a subber who left a thumbs up, and a tap on the bell, that's a start, lol. I love these old diesels.
In the Czech Republic, we don't have many of these big old US trucks, kinda shame :D. In Europe, you can usually find cabovers. I love watching these restorations and revivals. Great content, keep up your great work!
Cool Hand Luke is the movie being referenced. The best line in the movie was when Strother Martin says “What we've got here is failure to communicate".

Used to herd one just like this, White, 4-axle dump with an E-9 V-8 and a 2-stick 12-speed. It was a BULL! Buddy bought it and the company bought it back again. Hope they make a tractor out of it. Light sprung and the engine there looks like one of the 'Fire Breathing 350's' as the Mack place in Georgia called them. Drove the old R-model with one. TOUGH was an understatement. Hauling boulders on an armor plated trailer for flood control projects. Long time ago and lots of light bills paid and trucks usually draw out of the shotgun side tank. And Hank, you and Wiley don't give up your day job for singing careers! God Bless!
@@HamiltonvilleFarm I drove a lot more Macks than anything else because you got to have something TOUGH to run every day up here in the hills. 6:21 I approve of this statement. Also, Mack trucks for the Australian market are still being built in Wacol, Brisbane. (26 kilometres south west of Brisbane)🇦🇺🤙🏼
Oh, well, the charming you lady just asked about how things are going on so far. To me, it is always amazing to find out that these "turning rust" videos are by 90% successful, because all the rust, grit, and grime these machines have collected make things look much worse than they are! The Mack western series including the super liner were built originally in Hayward California. And then production of the western series eventually moved to Allentown after Hayward California plant shut down. With the super liner being a RW 600 & 700 series both , you could get anything from a Mack E6 & E9 engines (E6 is a 6 cly & E9 is a V8) to a Cummins, Cat, or Detroit. And yeah they also built the super liner in Australia for the Australian market. I do believe they still have the super liner name with Mack down under . Mack

It was silver with black stripes and had a 350 Mack engine and a 9 speed in it. Had 44,000 rears and rode like a two horse wagon. I hope somebody will take that truck and do something with it.
Hi ! that was the most powerfull truck i ever drove back in early 90s ! 500 mack straight pipe ! hell ! The only thing i didn t like was there was no cruise-control ! just the trottle on the floor beside the seat ! i used that for cruising ! it was a bit risky because i had to reach and unlock it if i wanted to slow down or stop ! LoL actually you can see it in my logo ! if you click on it you ll see it bigger ! LoL !😋on that pic i was hauling steel coils ! always hauling 4 axles trailers and super B-trains 5 axles ! so that was the greatest truck to pull heavy ! and my first truck was a 350 Mack econodyne with a 15 speed trans ! good trans for speeding but no power ! LoL. I ll get your Email and send you a few pics ! 😎
I know this is prolly a page for men, but I happen to like what you do too. I am a farmer's daughter and had 3 brothers who were all mechanical, so grew up with a little interest in this stuff. However, when Dad died my oldest brother took the farm and his front paddock became the local dump heap for dead cars, trucks, boats, cranes, bulldozers and a heap more stuff. It was so bad I took a couple of photos of it but alas can't post them here, if I could, I would. Had to take 2 shots and put them together because the dump wouldn't fit on one shot. Luckily for my brother, he also had sheep on the farm and they grazed around the wrecks so at least they weren't stuffed in the bushes like this truck. Love your work guys, keep it up.
Los felicito, desde mi Uruguay. Han revivido a un gran camión. En nuestro país, supimos tener a los colosales ómnibuses americanos G.M.C. "Parlor Coach". En las empresas O.N.D.A, C.O.T, C.I.T.A.. A esos colosales, reciclándolos, poseen una eterna vida. Fuerte abrazo para ambos.
Awesome that you shared the true story about the super liner most diehard Mack guys don't admit that that it came as a prototype from brockway. The best super liners are the ones that were called maximized with the big mack engine and transmission the full Mack power train
Your right Hank. You need to get this truck! But, and here’s a thought, (probably run through your mind briefly), why not get it for yourselves. As you’ve done before, hired someone else with a truck and trailer to haul your stuff to buyers. Now with this, you could cut out the middle man and do it yourself. Not a bad idea in of itself.
Changed my profile pic so you see the ol mack we ram in the FD here in Alaska. This ol gal was the pride/envy or the fleet when we first got her. Wasn’t a fast ol gal but she never let us down, well so long as it didn’t quit running when 40 below on our chilly rides. Lol. The dept finally retired her back in 91 when reading the “tailboard” as it’s called and forced all of us to ride inside the cab of the trucks. The cab sat 2, uncomfortably and we lucky ones got to ride on the exposed rear end during any calls and etc. Greatest riding spot I’ve ever enjoyed, well sort of. lol. She now is a parade truck and our Christmas tree truck for the big events. Even when it’s a bit chilly riding her these days. We all loved the truck except the first to go to the station to pick her up for the call, they’d have to hope the trickle charger was still connected or else issues arose. Haha. Still a beauty and I’d put her up against any of these new pos tricks any day.
Mack R models and Superliners are used by most grain farmers here locally. I see a cabover Pete and cabover International on occasion. When I worked at the used truck dealer, we stretched road Petes into grain trucks. Sold like hotcakes.AL B.
What a brilliant result for the SuperDog! Wondering if she found love and the new home she richly deserves? I've never seen a Superliner here in the UK, although I believe that there were attempts to import them here in the late seventies and early eighties for heavy haulage operators. Kind regards from the UK 🇬🇧 ❤🇺🇸

Hello
I love these old mack trucks, Definitely need a second video on this truck.

Shakin the bush , is referring to Cool hand Luke, if I’m not mistaken. One of my favorites too
I agree! Bring that classic Mack back to life guys. I wouldn’t mind owning that one ☝️
Me podrias decir la marca de ese soplador.
I got lots of miles in B's and R's, but a Superliner is not just my favorite Mack, but my favorite tractor period.

Still a beauty and I’d put her up against any of these new pos tricks any day.
Yeah that’s a good looking truck for sure! Nice!
Awesome work. Definitely need to get it out of there
Get that Super Liner back on the road 🛻 💨
Another great video guys. You need to buy and restore that truck. Would be a great series to watch.
Another Old Guys resuscitation! Great job!
That was ausome man that bird's nest that came out of the pipe was great. I don't believe it take a whole to put thatnback the road. Great video
I'd love to see another video on the Mack, to see if she'll move and maybe clean her up a little.
Awesome video, the birds nest in that stack didn't stand a chance.
Please do more videos on this truck. You guys are doing a fine job.
Definitely come back to that truck! We all want to see it move out of that spot and someone bring it back to life again..
I'd love to see y'all clear it out and drive it out
I would keep going on it guys. A great project truck
Mack R models and Superliners are used by most grain farmers here locally. I see a cabover Pete and cabover International on occasion. When I worked at the used truck dealer, we stretched road Petes into grain trucks. Sold like hotcakes.AL B.
These things run forever.Over a million miles and still perfect.
I enjoy watching u guys get these trucks/tractor's started 👍
What a brilliant result for the SuperDog! Wondering if she found love and the new home she richly deserves? I've never seen a Superliner here in the UK, although I believe that there were attempts to import them here in the late seventies and early eighties for heavy haulage operators. Kind regards from the UK 🇬🇧 ❤🇺🇸
It’s great to see old stuff coming back to life 👏👏👏👍😎
