Couple of things, clearly the pair of 7 pounder springs are NOT 7 pound on a VNT turbo. 21-22PSI post huge FMIC is way to high. Took all pre-load out, still 20+. The clevis coupler is a PIA to use compared to the stock one that allows easy pre-load adjustment. The lack of a tool to open the actuator safely and cleanly is another negative. Another issue, tappin the boost reference off the front of a bloody boost heater (top-mount IC) can lead to oscilation as the IC is rear fed in factory. Reverse fow mod works well to feed it from front but otherwise, a boost reference as close to the snail as possible. If you have your snail out, drill and tap the molded boss near the scroll outlet.
Question: currently running dawes and needle valve boost control can this system still be used with the turbo smart actuator ? and if not what do you recommend ? also with the positive pressure actuator can a blow off be used/benifit this setup ? yea i know full flog but hey anything to get the passengers seat wet
Awsome info, thanks guys 🤘
Nice work jesse 🤘
Is there a vid on the full setup with boost gauge and tillex kit

can u address the boost issue with a boost controller ??
How did you get the extra pre load mate I’ve got a 7psi one also having boost issues on a brand new turbo
why are the zd30 crd actuators advertised as only 7psi? the standard boost is around 14psi
Because it's as simple as changing the spring, everybody chooses to run different boost levels
what springs come in it? i can’t find any info whether it only comes with 1 7psi spring or not
@@gtags84 depends who and where you buy it from, We sell it with the 12 psi
Hi how can i order that actuator?

You will need a Boost Tee to adjust the boost or fit a heavy spring. Sorry, but no you can't run a BOV
I have ZD30 patrol safari, and has no power especially uphill. Could it be wrong actuator positioning is the problem? Pls notice me
It's possible, I recommend you get it in to your local dyno shop and have the boost checked.
@@IndependentMotorsports thankyousomuch!
@@mrpoks4282 hi dear i have the same problem .. If you find something please let me know thanks
@@chinthakawickramarachchi9542 Hi mate, I replaced the boost control valve for my patrol and the power haa improved a lot.
