I’m 36 and I listened to this on repeat. It’s actually kinda great to know that we all listened to it at the same time and around the same age. Awesome childhoods.
@@ponchoandy Don't get me wrong, if you were a fan of emo, you know them. But even dashboard only has like two songs with millions of views.. look at view counts on most of TSC's stuff..
I can’t agree with you more. You know I’m older than most that come here I am sure. I think this album was early 2000s but when I first discovered these guys I thought the say thing. It’s all about the promoters and the label.
I'm 31. I found Spill Canvas when I was 14 years old. This will always be one of my favorite songs. I was so disappointed to hear I missed seeing Nick and the boys performing this live.
Fell in love with TSC many many years ago. It’s great to reconnect with these songs again. Amazing how life has changed in 15 years... and amazing how one song can bring you back.
2021 and finally found the name of this song. I heard it back in the early 2000s on my crush's MySpace. I moved back to my home country, and no one listened to this type of music around me. Back in the day, there was no Shazam or any other app alike. For some reason just got a flashback from that MySpace profile, and all I could remember was "Veronica", so that's all had to google this song. Now is finally on my playlist.
32 year old that has barely shed a tear in life and here I am at the end of the song with a tear in my eye. Well done, this song hit hard back in the day and still holds up, beautiful and sad all wrapped up in excellent musicianship.
I can’t really explain it but this song became the most Traumatizing and simultaneously the perfect description of a song that elicits such intense emotion
Does anybody else still think that this is songwriting genius in 2021? I’ve never heard a song with such beautiful, somber, poetic lyricism coupled with such simple, yet profound melody to it. After hearing this when I was an early teen, to my late twenties today I can’t help but think this is simply one of the best songs ever written
story telling is a craft that was lost long ago in music, sadly. Thankfully we have youtube and archives that hold sooooo many "less popular" bands that never really made it to the general public, bc alot of their music put forth the most passion without a doubt
When I was 16 my first real girlfriend and I listened to this together so many times in the dark even before we became a couple. She was sadly killed a few years ago and I've been trying to find this song forever. Brings back amazing memories
If you haven't had a good cry in a while, just take a listen here and everything will be okay once again. Just gotta remember to breathe, and live for the moment now.
This is the only song that ever made me cry while listening to it. I was 19bI believe while in a car with friends the first time I heard it. I felt embarrassed, but luckily my friends who had heard it already understood. Great storytelling and song
It's such a beautiful name. I heard it on a Sanskrit baby name video and immediately thought of this song and had to give it another listen. Crazy how a single name from a song can weedle its way into memory.
First time i heard this song, i was on a "date." He had a new mustang, He took me to our high school, put his lights on the school rock and blasted this song and we danced in his headlights.
I was about 14 the first time I heard this one (14 years ago), and I loved The Spill Canvas at that time. I was reading a book that takes place on a beach and it made me think of this video.
For this song shall now and forever remain more then a song, but also memories untold, a tragic death, a sister, daughter, cousin, and friend taken far to soon. While a murderer roams free. D.. no words can say the love all lost. Or the hurt never healed.. still missing you each and every day 15 years later.. R.I.P
I’m not gonna lie, I wasn’t around for this album releasing but damn, this album is so good! I’ve got into them a while ago, but my it’s one of my parents favorite bands, and I completely understand!
This song is so personal for me, my mom got real addicted to drugs several years, she's been in one unhealthy relationship or another my entire life. she lost custody of my siblings and this song just feels exactly like what happened
Thought this is kind’ve ironic, my name is Veda pronounced the same way in the song and my biological dad is an alcholic and really abusive and when I was little he would threaten my mom that he was going to take me and disappear and she would never see me again :/ even aside from that I love this song!
When I went out with my first girlfriend she pulled out her iPod and played this song and plugged in one earphone in my ear and in hers while we made out. lol this was like 2007 or 2008 Damm
Dude I cant believe you totally ripped off Eyedea's song "infrared roses". The lyrics to the climax, half of them are a word for word rip off, the whole "heaven's not a place that you go when you die, its that moment in life when you actually feel alive" part was stolen!
Being in gr 9 and listening to this was wild lmao I really appreciated the music! Made my foster family worried about me when I posted it as fb statuses 🤌🏽👹
April 2024 and the song randomly popped in my head. Came back for a visit
I’m 36 and I listened to this on repeat. It’s actually kinda great to know that we all listened to it at the same time and around the same age. Awesome childhoods.
38 and totally. TSC and MCR will forever be my favorites and some of the best memories
I’m 37 joined the Navy after high school in 04 and listened to this on repeat during my first deployment
This song hits so hard , forever on my 'in the feels' album
27 it’s still one of my favorite acoustics.
34 I listened to the entire album on repeat 💜
liveeee for the moment nowwww
Ohhhh the nostalgia! I listened to this on repeat when I was 15 😂 (which is literally half my life ago)
🙏🏼
Lmfao you're not the only one. Now we're 30, and it's still an amazing song!
We’re getting old
Serious same..... Count em, threeeee
This is going to be on the oldies radio station one day
I’m crying to this, while drunk, in 2020. Beautiful
🤗🤗🤗🤗 2021 up in here baby 🤣😭
this song messes with me so much always has too.
Feel you. Glass of Whiskey, Johnny Cashs version of Hurt Followed By this masterpiece made me crying too 💚
I wish u peace from the future
Loved this song. 2001
Heavens not a place you go when you die, it's that moment in life when you actually feel alive . . .
One of the most under acknowledged groups of musicians around. Love them.
Not really. They were pretty big in the Dashboard age of emo.

nearly 20 years and this song still gets me every time.
This song is still so beautiful. Sad, but beautiful. Brilliant songwriting
It’s get more true as you grow
I listened to this song on repeat when I was 20-21 all the time. I’m 34 now, and it still moves me. Masterpiece.
I haven't listened to this song in SO LONG. I used to listen to it every day a few months ago. I'm so happy I rediscovered it.

Pretty close to Vader :)

Because it’s not meant to be on either. Remember the song and don’t forget it.
The new version is now on spotify:)
Probably because they stole the climax lyrics off of Eyedea's song "infrared roses". The whole "heaven's not a place" part is a word for word rip off.
