- We spent a night camping at Lake Bled campsite with our motorhome- on our Slovenia Road trip.
Camping Bled is the ONLY campsite for motorhomes, campervans or cars on the shores of the lake. Heck, it's less than a 5 minute walk from one of the most beautiful views of Lake Bled you will find. Find out more here: www.wandering-...
Initially, we wanted to wild camp, but that proved difficult- as did finding a safe-feeling aire. So we splurged and went into the campsite. It's not the cheapest place we've found on our motorhome travels in Europe, but it's possibly one of the prettiest.
I even dragged the husband out at dawn to film the sunrise over the lake!!

We were there too in August - brill campsite but Def have to book peak season - we came from the Dolomites over an amazing road to get there - simply stunning 👌

We went to Lake Bled in 1989 on my Triumph Bonnie and stayed in that campsite, our tent was at the far end (top) of the campsite and we were woken up by a wild boar laying down on the side of our tent (and it was quite heavy with very rough hair). Great campsite whole place unsuprisingly looks bigger now, all around there was great.
Nice! We decided not to take our Bonnies on this trip, but it looked like a really fun area to explore by bike. You were lucky to survive the wild boar unscathed- those things are mean (apparently... I've never actually met one!)

Make sure to buy a Vignette. We passed through Slovenia in 2018 and didn’t notice the signs saying that we needed one. At the border to Austria we were stopped and hit with a €400 fine! 😠
