Built it, not knowing what it was and my face after it got destroyed after 6 seconds of use, the most shocked I have ever been in my life. Obviously at the time, I didn't know that you can't hold it down and that you have to feather it so that really just blew my mind.
lol a lot of us had pretty much the same experience. It was also the first Craft able wonder weapon in Maddie think it was gonna be even more bad ass than a regular wonder weapon and it wasn’t. I’m about 90% certain the reason it’s stupidly designed like that is because it’s an unfinished event of a wedding that was supposed to add to types of fire. Pretty sure it involved blowing away zombies (probably kinda like the gun in Buried) with one trigger with the trade off being it was dangerous cause it would cause you to get tossed into the air into danger zones yourself. The other trigger would suck in air and was supposed to be used to kill the avogadro, but would be tricky to pull of because if you mid aim and suck in a zombie instead the gun will almost immediately break. It’s just a possibility but there are animations and stuff for it that don’t even work properly and nothing that dumb gets put in either intentionally or just as an oversight. Tranzit as a whole it’s the most mysterious empty vessel for a vision of a map that we really haven’t seen because trust me that thing in its current state was a fogged barren landscape with a scripted bus drive you could hop in or not it’s so not at all a complete map.
The wolf bow is underrated imo. It shines best in high rounds because it can easily knock out an entire hord. The goal isn't to clump them on the death ray, the goal is to put them in a line in the courtyard. After the first few hordes of doing that and getting into the groove, you just fly through the rounds because it kills entire hordes instantly

I love Cold War's wonder weapons. They truly do feel like wonder weapons, like, they feel absurdly powerful and that's good because they're supposed to be superweapons. I personally never had any issues with Cold War being so easy in comparison to the other games. It feels even more arcade-y than a lot of the other games, and I'm all for it.
the pre nerf sliquifier was by far the best wonder weapon ever made. could get drops and 1 shot would literally chain through the entire round especially if you camped in the elevator on the way down to the an94 the spawns were so quick youd just fly through the rounds, sometimes a zombie would slide into you though and youd have to use ammo if it glued onto you but that was super super super rare
He forgot to mention that thw Axe form of the Chrysalax also provides a small amount of armor per kill. It got reduced at some point since on release it was about the best wonder weapon ever since you became almost unkillable even when it became a 2 hit melee
When you upgrade the apothican servant the black hole lasts longer on top of getting the five extra shots. I think it goes from five to ten seconds when you pap it on Rev. Also, camping next to the verruct trap is op with the papd apothican servant
That map just has so many op things. You can have upgraded lil arnies, the god mask, ragnarock, thundergun, upgraded apothicans serpent, and im pretty sure you can get every perk in the game with perkaholic/soda fountain. The map seems like it would be the hardest at first, but then they just throw all these OP things at you.
Thundergun's the best wonder weapon simply because it can corpse launch the Zombies. It never fails to get me in a laughing fit seeing Zombies flying across the map no matter how many times I use it and end up dying because of it.
Bo6 jet gun is the best wonder in the game atm, thank god they brought it back, hopefully the bring wave gun back from moon, and shrink ray. All the wonders that we haven't seen in a long time like he's been saying. All needs to make a return
I actually feel like something does change in the Apothican Servant if it's upgraded. The range of the zombies being sucked into the black hole is a bit bigger I think, making it a bit better than the un-upgraded one. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
The upgrades Apothicon Servant is a little bit more than just 5 more ammo, it’s black hole duration is way longer and the final blast radius when the black hole implodes is stronger and wider. The only thing that sucks about the Apothicon Servant is that Margwa’s and Pantzers are really hard to kill. Always have an extra Zeus Cannon in ur back pocked
As a cold war zombies fan, I just wanna say thank you for covering that game, I know alot of people hate on the game but it's genuinely one of my favorites thanks to the arcadey and casual feel that made playing with chill friends super easy and fun Also every time I gave a friend playing cold war the Axe from forsaken for the first time, they would all always agree it was the best wonder weapon in any zombies game ever, just from pure chaos, uniqueness and power
@SniperWolfKing77 ill even say cold war does better things than the previous cods and that is how smooth the gameplay and movement is,how fun the wonder weapons were and beautiful the environments are,not even mentioning about how fun ammo mods,abilities and how every weapon in the game feels balanced and that theres not a single bad on so u literally no longer have to have the inconvenience of getting a terrible weapon anymore
If I want to play casual zombies I will play WaW or BO1. If I want to play a challenging game I would play BO2 Origins or MOTD. I have no reason to play boring-ass Cold War Zombies.
Not necessarily. What actually causes it is a bug in the WaW engine where the game thinks that whatever your HP is at when you shock yourself is your new max health. You can still regenerate health, but you can't go beyond the new max value until you buy jug again, which is only possible in co op. The reason why the wunderwaffe is fine on Shi No Numa but bad on Der Riese is due to differences in the coding of jug and health regen between Verruckt/Shi No Numa and Der Riese. In Verruckt and Shi No Numa, jug increases your max HP from 100 to 160, but gives you super fast regen speed. In Der Riese, it sets your max HP to 250, but keeps normal health regen. On Shi No Numa, the custom regen from jug doesn't care and heals you back up to 160 anyway, so you don't notice the bug, but since Der Riese jug uses normal regen, it only goes up to what the game thinks is your max HP.
not gonna lie i really like cold wars approach to wonder weapons, making it available in the box and through an easter egg. That way if you wanna learn the easter egg you can get a free ww early and if not you aren't forced to do it.
You missed one… The specialist weapons are definitely wonder weapons. There’s dialogue while playing as Richthofen where when you get the ‘Annihilator’ he says, “a wonder weapon unknown even to me?”
The upgraded Apothicon servant definitely has more abilities than the regular with more ammo. I used to think like that, just get a gobblegum and dont upgrade. However I decided to learn it did it and I noticed a difference which was confirmed after googling. The black hole radius is bigger so zombies will get sucked in from further away and lasts longer so getting the black hole in the right spot and everything gets sucked in for a very long time. Cant confirm but it feels twice as long.
Tundragun one shots on any round, and it shoots an explosive projectile so you're supposed to use it like a rocket launcher and shoot it at the ground in the middle of the horde, NOT directly at them. If you do that, it will one shot an entire horde on any round. Plus, it has more ammo than the thundergun. S tier wonder weapon
Facts! It's just all around better. Double the ammo, more range, bigger effect radius, and does infinite dmg just like it's older brother Ppl just hate that it's not a crutch gun and that it takes some brain power to use.
The winters howl should’ve been a support wonder weapon where it has an added effect that makes zombies take more damage so that you can pair it with other weapons and extend their viability into high rounds. Like dual wielding it with the raygun would be awesome if it let the raygun do more damage. Maybe after a certain round or when zombies reach a certain amount of health it does percent damage where each consecutive shot from it does less damage. Like stacking debuffs on zombies where the debuff gets weaker as it stacks higher just so it’s not too op. Maybe it could also stack a defense debuff for the zombies.

Regarding the Tundragun and DG-Scharfschutze, you can kinda rationalise from a lore perspective why they are weaker, so to speak. The Tundragun, you could pretend that it is a Thundergun, but one that has been exposed to the bitter cold for too long, hence why it now does ice, but is weaker due to age and damage (headcanon) The DG-Scharfschutze, however, if you look carefully under the vacuum tubes when you reload, it actually says "DG-01", indicating this is literally the prototype of what became the DG-2.
Thing is, he got like half of what he said about the tundragun wrong. That thing is hella strong. Infinite dmg, double the ammo, way more range, and a larger effect radius. The only thing is, that it's not a crutch gun like the thundergun and takes a bit of brain power to use

TheGlitchingQueen released a video explaining the properties of the bows on Der Eisendrache. Apparently the Storm, Fire, and Skull bow match their damage to the life total of the zombies of the round you're on but I think the wolf bow is always like half that damage. But in the boss fight it's damage is 1, a charged shot literally does 2 damage and it seems most likely done intentionally for lore purposes
So I don’t know if you knew this but tundra gun is actually really good now cause treyarch out of nowhere actually buffed it do infinite amount of damage and I think it’s freeze radius also made a little bigger.
Yeah most ppl didn't pick up on that I guess. Thing is just a better thundergun now. More range, effect radius, ammo. The splash dmg isn't a problem cus ppl run the m1911's without phd all the time and they fuck your hp up way more, yet no one calls em terrible cus of that.
41:48 there’s actually more to this one, the longer you hold the trigger the more damage it does, it has 3 stages of damage and at the last level it does huge damage. If you shoot it while spring it also gives you a HUGE speed boost!
the sliquifier was by far the best and most satisfying weapon to use, there’s just something about trying to keep the chain for longer and longer that probably gave me some sort of dopamine rush lol
It's actually possible to get drops from BO1 Thundergun if the zombie is far enough to get hit with the Thundergun (not the infinite damage range) if the weak hit kills a zombie it's possible to get a power up
All you rlly gotta do for high rounds in die maschine is to just spam the ray gun, pop ring of fire, then suck the zombies with the vacuum part of the die, then shoot Rinse and repeat

Something about the axe in cold war: Idk what I had that did it, but when I used it, each kill with it regenerated some of my armor, meaning with its huge aoe and damage, I was basically invincible and was carrying my team the entire game. Literally, a dude went afk, so I just stood on top of him for several rounds and just spammed left click and kept reviving him. I think I had 60-70 revives when we went for exfil
The Winter’s Howl on Classified got continuously buffed so much that it’s now as good as the Thundergun. It now has infinite damage, maxing out at 4 shots to kill, but the reason it’s as good as the Thundergun because it has 4x the ammo. This is great because Treyarch finally gave the Winter’s Howl the respect it deserves after all of these years of being the laughing stock of the zombies community.
Infinite damage yet takes 4 shots to kill... i get what you mean but that also makes no sense. So what if it has 4x the ammo of a thundergun? If it takes 4x as many shots to kill as a thundergun that doesnt make it any better at all. Not to mention the thundergun will get you out of a clinch, the winters howl will not.
The worst part about the Tundragun, is it's only appearance is on the same map as The Thundergun and it's a nearly straight copy, so either; it's so obscenely broken that the Thundergun is ruined, or (what happened) where it is just a worse version of the Thundergun in every way.
didn't even mention the best part of the D.E.A.D JOLTSURGE (if you fire or suck up zombies and sprint you move SUPER fast) great for getting around the map and reviving friends.
To add to just how powerful you can get without a wonder weapon in Cold War. Take an M79 (the thumper) get that baby legendary and triple packed. Next speed cola and PHD are a must (elemental pop adds great flavor). You become so untouchable with this setup to the point you can just stand still and fire at your feet. See even though Cold War yes was arguably the easiest zombies experience. I love it a lot because it was fun plus it was nice to be able to just go into a game of zombies and pretty much be able to find success with any weapon in the game.
The Ray gun is weird because there’s so many weird things First,The Raygun does varying damage so there’s no set damage making it so that at some rounds it will one shot or not Second,The WaW-Bo1 raygun will do less damage that the Bo2-Bo3 Raygun(Yeah nostalgia can rlly blind you)Making it so that it (consistently)one shots before round 16 in Bo1 and in Bo2 before round 36 And Third, PaP does nothing to the raygun well except from the increased ammo,it doesn’t do more damage nor increased damage
On bo1 my strat is mustang and sally and main wonder weapon with the raygun as my 3rd weapons. Really helps out. The wave gun is my favorite wonder weapon. Edit. Holy crap he finally counted bo4 and cw. I dont blame you not counting cod vanshit
That's interesting because the golden spork becomes a 2 hit kill on round 34. On round 60 the golden spork takes 13 hits to kill a zombie. On round 69 it takes 29.
@@Robin_hsr12 Except you will because the zombies come in too fast for the entire team to be able to focus on a single zombie at a time. Also they will still have to play 11 rounds where it takes more than 4 hits to kill a zombie in order to get to 60.
One of my favourite things about the Ray Gun Mk2 I saw in a separate video was, in Origins (BO2) if you Pack-A-Punch it, then get the Double Tap perk, you can reach 2/3 of the Lightning Staff parts by firing it & jumping backwards will give you a massive boost in speed. Great if your end goal is to build & upgrade all staffs, but on the downside, you've now built the worst staff in the game a little quicker, yay! The upside to it is you can also clear the holes the tank drives over, just jump backwards & time your rapid fire, you'll get launched backwards at such an alarming speed, the zombies have to respawn just to catch up
I definitely see what you mean with the babymaker and how it's more delayed in bo3 hit reg. I believe that to be in part due to widows wine. The game needs a extra frame or two to register whether or not the player was struck by a zombie and if so proc widows if a grenade is in your bar. That's my best guess as to why it doesn't kick as easily in black ops 1.
This is an interesting thought and I think youre on to something. Quantity versus quality when it comes to perks & weapons in zombies is a struggle in my opinion. With my small experience in programming, one thing can only have so many functions before everything starts to fall apart. The desire to bring something designed without widows wine in mind into a game with a different system because of nostalgia or whatever probably overpowered the logical "is this practical?" approach.
Thought my trigger was messed up or my PS5, my controller etc, I noticed if you press the trigger lightly once it’ll just shoot once (I think it’s more of an input delay bug if anything)
Btw, what the Wunderwaffe DG3 glitch really does is not take away your Jug, but even worse... it takes away the ability to recover your health altogether! So it affects you even if you don't have Jug! Honestly, really a hideous bug.
the bows are the best, especially if solo and you build all of them, cuz it's 300 shots, plus if you wait for at least 2 upgrade quests, that's 2 free guaranteed max ammos, plus tram fuse for a chance at 3rd (not even mentioning gobbles, der eisen just becomes the best and easiest map to ever exist). and i just think of the wolf bow as another thunder gun, cuz it literally is
I was surprised once I saw FIVE in BO4 in the video, it's barely recognizable what's happening on the screen, and the HUD takes half of it for some reason.
I played some Cold War outbreak with my buddy earlier and I had the porters x2 raygun and it was literally one tapping tempests and disciples, glad they gave the gun some beef again
I was once playing bo4 with a few randoms and we all had packapunched magmagats and we ended up surviving to like round 94. Only reason we lost was because 2 of them had to go. It was really funny because one of the dudes had to go to the store at around wave 50 and when he came back we were still alive. It was truly some of the most fun i'd had playing zombies

The thing I give credit to on Cold War is the way you can go to high rounds with a million different strategies and weapons, but it is definitely too easy, should be a little harder
the gloves that bring you to hell are a whole extra layer of disturbing when you realize that if you watch other things about it the zombies are aware that they’re zombies and actively are tortured by it so you’re bringing a tortured soul who has no control over its actions to hell

It's not the weapon that repairs your armor. It's the melee upgrades that repair your armor.

Forgot to mention the best part of the axe on Cold War. It replens armor per kill. Coming from experience it’ll save you on higher rounds.

If I want to play casual zombies I will play WaW or BO1. If I want to play a challenging game I would play BO2 Origins or MOTD. I have no reason to play boring-ass Cold War Zombies.

Not necessarily. What actually causes it is a bug in the WaW engine where the game thinks that whatever your HP is at when you shock yourself is your new max health. You can still regenerate health, but you can't go beyond the new max value until you buy jug again, which is only possible in co op.
The reason why the wunderwaffe is fine on Shi No Numa but bad on Der Riese is due to differences in the coding of jug and health regen between Verruckt/Shi No Numa and Der Riese. In Verruckt and Shi No Numa, jug increases your max HP from 100 to 160, but gives you super fast regen speed. In Der Riese, it sets your max HP to 250, but keeps normal health regen. On Shi No Numa, the custom regen from jug doesn't care and heals you back up to 160 anyway, so you don't notice the bug, but since Der Riese jug uses normal regen, it only goes up to what the game thinks is your max HP.
not gonna lie i really like cold wars approach to wonder weapons, making it available in the box and through an easter egg. That way if you wanna learn the easter egg you can get a free ww early and if not you aren't forced to do it.
BO3 did the same thing as well (SOE, DE, and ZNS) but it wasn't as strenuous.

The upgraded Apothicon servant definitely has more abilities than the regular with more ammo. I used to think like that, just get a gobblegum and dont upgrade. However I decided to learn it did it and I noticed a difference which was confirmed after googling. The black hole radius is bigger so zombies will get sucked in from further away and lasts longer so getting the black hole in the right spot and everything gets sucked in for a very long time. Cant confirm but it feels twice as long.

Tundragun one shots on any round, and it shoots an explosive projectile so you're supposed to use it like a rocket launcher and shoot it at the ground in the middle of the horde, NOT directly at them. If you do that, it will one shot an entire horde on any round. Plus, it has more ammo than the thundergun. S tier wonder weapon
Problem is you can't camp at power with it but you can with the regular thundergun

The winters howl should’ve been a support wonder weapon where it has an added effect that makes zombies take more damage so that you can pair it with other weapons and extend their viability into high rounds. Like dual wielding it with the raygun would be awesome if it let the raygun do more damage. Maybe after a certain round or when zombies reach a certain amount of health it does percent damage where each consecutive shot from it does less damage. Like stacking debuffs on zombies where the debuff gets weaker as it stacks higher just so it’s not too op. Maybe it could also stack a defense debuff for the zombies.
Bo6 jetgun is what we all wanted. Love treyarch for making it a god tier wonder weapon

Regarding the Tundragun and DG-Scharfschutze, you can kinda rationalise from a lore perspective why they are weaker, so to speak.
The Tundragun, you could pretend that it is a Thundergun, but one that has been exposed to the bitter cold for too long, hence why it now does ice, but is weaker due to age and damage (headcanon)
The DG-Scharfschutze, however, if you look carefully under the vacuum tubes when you reload, it actually says "DG-01", indicating this is literally the prototype of what became the DG-2.
Thing is, he got like half of what he said about the tundragun wrong. That thing is hella strong. Infinite dmg, double the ammo, way more range, and a larger effect radius. The only thing is, that it's not a crutch gun like the thundergun and takes a bit of brain power to use

TheGlitchingQueen released a video explaining the properties of the bows on Der Eisendrache. Apparently the Storm, Fire, and Skull bow match their damage to the life total of the zombies of the round you're on but I think the wolf bow is always like half that damage. But in the boss fight it's damage is 1, a charged shot literally does 2 damage and it seems most likely done intentionally for lore purposes

something you forgot to mention for the origins staffs is that you only need to charge them to the second level instead of fully charged
41:48 there’s actually more to this one, the longer you hold the trigger the more damage it does, it has 3 stages of damage and at the last level it does huge damage. If you shoot it while spring it also gives you a HUGE speed boost!
the sliquifier was by far the best and most satisfying weapon to use, there’s just something about trying to keep the chain for longer and longer that probably gave me some sort of dopamine rush lol

It's actually possible to get drops from BO1 Thundergun if the zombie is far enough to get hit with the Thundergun (not the infinite damage range) if the weak hit kills a zombie it's possible to get a power up
The shock DIE also ramps up damage really fast, plus its absorption was % based so it was always viable at least.
All you rlly gotta do for high rounds in die maschine is to just spam the ray gun, pop ring of fire, then suck the zombies with the vacuum part of the die, then shoot

Something about the axe in cold war: Idk what I had that did it, but when I used it, each kill with it regenerated some of my armor, meaning with its huge aoe and damage, I was basically invincible and was carrying my team the entire game. Literally, a dude went afk, so I just stood on top of him for several rounds and just spammed left click and kept reviving him. I think I had 60-70 revives when we went for exfil
Tip with the Death of Orion scorpion gun: you can shoot the single shots insanely fast if you spam the trigger and the reload button!
The Winter’s Howl on Classified got continuously buffed so much that it’s now as good as the Thundergun. It now has infinite damage, maxing out at 4 shots to kill, but the reason it’s as good as the Thundergun because it has 4x the ammo. This is great because Treyarch finally gave the Winter’s Howl the respect it deserves after all of these years of being the laughing stock of the zombies community.

Infinite damage yet takes 4 shots to kill... i get what you mean but that also makes no sense. So what if it has 4x the ammo of a thundergun? If it takes 4x as many shots to kill as a thundergun that doesnt make it any better at all. Not to mention the thundergun will get you out of a clinch, the winters howl will not.
The worst part about the Tundragun, is it's only appearance is on the same map as The Thundergun and it's a nearly straight copy, so either; it's so obscenely broken that the Thundergun is ruined, or (what happened) where it is just a worse version of the Thundergun in every way.

To add to just how powerful you can get without a wonder weapon in Cold War. Take an M79 (the thumper) get that baby legendary and triple packed. Next speed cola and PHD are a must (elemental pop adds great flavor). You become so untouchable with this setup to the point you can just stand still and fire at your feet. See even though Cold War yes was arguably the easiest zombies experience. I love it a lot because it was fun plus it was nice to be able to just go into a game of zombies and pretty much be able to find success with any weapon in the game.

The Ray gun is weird because there’s so many weird things
First,The Raygun does varying damage so there’s no set damage making it so that at some rounds it will one shot or not
Second,The WaW-Bo1 raygun will do less damage that the Bo2-Bo3 Raygun(Yeah nostalgia can rlly blind you)Making it so that it (consistently)one shots before round 16 in Bo1 and in Bo2 before round 36
And Third, PaP does nothing to the raygun well except from the increased ammo,it doesn’t do more damage nor increased damage

I remember the golden spork on Alcatraz. We had a full team crouched by the washers and got bored at round 60 because it was one hit.
That's interesting because the golden spork becomes a 2 hit kill on round 34. On round 60 the golden spork takes 13 hits to kill a zombie. On round 69 it takes 29.

I like how with BO6 they fixed the jet gun in Liberty Falls
One of my favourite things about the Ray Gun Mk2 I saw in a separate video was, in Origins (BO2) if you Pack-A-Punch it, then get the Double Tap perk, you can reach 2/3 of the Lightning Staff parts by firing it & jumping backwards will give you a massive boost in speed. Great if your end goal is to build & upgrade all staffs, but on the downside, you've now built the worst staff in the game a little quicker, yay! The upside to it is you can also clear the holes the tank drives over, just jump backwards & time your rapid fire, you'll get launched backwards at such an alarming speed, the zombies have to respawn just to catch up
I definitely see what you mean with the babymaker and how it's more delayed in bo3 hit reg. I believe that to be in part due to widows wine. The game needs a extra frame or two to register whether or not the player was struck by a zombie and if so proc widows if a grenade is in your bar. That's my best guess as to why it doesn't kick as easily in black ops 1.
This is an interesting thought and I think youre on to something. Quantity versus quality when it comes to perks & weapons in zombies is a struggle in my opinion. With my small experience in programming, one thing can only have so many functions before everything starts to fall apart. The desire to bring something designed without widows wine in mind into a game with a different system because of nostalgia or whatever probably overpowered the logical "is this practical?" approach.

Btw, what the Wunderwaffe DG3 glitch really does is not take away your Jug, but even worse... it takes away the ability to recover your health altogether! So it affects you even if you don't have Jug!

the bows are the best, especially if solo and you build all of them, cuz it's 300 shots, plus if you wait for at least 2 upgrade quests, that's 2 free guaranteed max ammos, plus tram fuse for a chance at 3rd (not even mentioning gobbles, der eisen just becomes the best and easiest map to ever exist). and i just think of the wolf bow as another thunder gun, cuz it literally is

I was once playing bo4 with a few randoms and we all had packapunched magmagats and we ended up surviving to like round 94. Only reason we lost was because 2 of them had to go. It was really funny because one of the dudes had to go to the store at around wave 50 and when he came back we were still alive. It was truly some of the most fun i'd had playing zombies
