Just gonna say again another great video! Congrats to the winner 🏆! My honest opinion the totally hand brushed head came out the best. Bothe were good but the hand brushed was the clear winner, probably because there's more control with a brush rather than an airbrush. Hopefully I'll be able to get in on a patreon slot soon.
I agree, usually I would go back to the airbrushed face and add the same amount of work with a brush to bring out the best of both worlds. Don’t feel obligated to join patreon but if you are able to afford it, will certainly help the channel.
Subscribed. I see you in the wicked fib group creating great models and giving great tips. A quality effort here and once again highlighting that no single way of painting is the best way. Well done sir!
You could have said at the end what you think about the colors. Army Painter colors are not the best but I like some of their colors for painting flesh, like Tanned Flesh and Barbarian Flesh.. maybe I will try this set...
I am not trying to push any products on any one that’s why I left the decision on opinion up to the viewer. I use army painter in 90% if my work mainly because I can’t really afford more paints and also because the paint is fine never had any problems producing great looking paint jobs with it. For skin tones though I don’t really like their colours I use Vallejo fairy flesh set. But the ap skin tones set isn’t too bad and produces similar results.
Tried it today. Didn't quite like it. I just couldn't get that kinda soft, almost pale, looking female skin tone (working on Megha's Black Widow). And, as you said in the video, it does get desaturated with each new layer. Reverted back to my own recipe, using Vallejo Model Color (seems a lot easier airbrushing, too).
I didn’t hate it. But it is a bit more desaturated. However I think it has its place. I used them on Loki and I actually really liked the final result. But yea I prefer the nocturna fairy set
Thanks for the videos bro! Haven't Tackled face tones yet, so I appreciate this video! And I think the hand brush one came out with more highlights and realistic ✌😃
One of your best videos by far. I learned quite a bit thanks to your teaching style. Only wish your newer videos were as instructional as this one.. Any reason why you have moved away from teaching? Newer videos are okay but don’t learn much of anything from them. Other then your an amazing artist. Oh and by the way the whole F-off at the end is played out brother.
I kinda felt weird “teaching” when in reality I don’t have a clue what I’m doing really I make most of it up as I go along. Also I have done about every kind of skin tone video there is to be done and anything else performs so poorly on UA-cam. Nothing worse than putting in a bunch of effort for the video to just flop and get not views.
@@Groundeffected what a shame brother…. As I think you have something special in the way you show your technique. Thanks for the content as it is very appreciated.

Stop whatever you're doing right now, Michael Bay is making a new action movie and need a new director of photography!
Hahaha I don’t think he wants this kind of liability
Nice job! I can't wait to try these myself. Again, thanks for your videos. Its exactly the kind of content I needed to help me grow as a painter!
Awesome I’m glad it helps even if it is only a little 😵💫🤞🏼
Saw these but picked up the scale75 set instead. Looks like I"ll go back for this set too. Thanks for the vid!
Ah man. It’s ok. More paint is good paint hahaha just go back and get more

That’s true. There is no right or wrong. What matters is the outcome. Thanks for the sub.
Mega video mate!
Thank you and thanks for watching.

Awesome montage

Thanks for watching. Usually I’ll do the airbrush method then go over again with the brush to make more details.
Love the AP range. The only irony in this case is that they suggest you put 2 agitator balls in each bottle, give you 20 bottles and only 16 balls 🤔
First 🙋🏻♂️
