Can't thank you enough for this video. Because you made it look so easy and fun and not intimidating, I went and bought some hair and supplies for my old Midge. I successfully rerooted her and she looks great. One tip for beginners like me: If the needle keeps sliding back into the tool, it might not be tightened enough in the tool. Use a wrench to tighten it in place so the needle is firm in place and doesnt slip.
I did NOT know how long it took to reroot a head! I admire people who take time to make good content instead of quick and easy things to make money. Keep up the good work!
I remember when I was like 6 I used to watch your videos and like restyle my dolls hair, but idc you’re still awesome and my daughter watches you now and she likes you as well!
Tip for Doll Crafters: Sometimes doll rerooting or any craft you doing can be boring at times. So what I suggest is to do go to UA-cam to listen to music or watch one of favorite videos to make it more fun. That's what I like to do if it's something is boring. Just a recommendation. :)
It's so beautiful! I love it! You did such a good job on this makeover and it was an amazing tutorial! To me, the doll you rerooted looks way prettier now, than the original fashionista! I can't believe you did this yourself because I know this takes a lot of patience and hard work.
Super! I remember in my teens when I didn't have any tools or supplies I used to take a thread, make a knot at one end and pull a thread through the hole. So I have 3 or 4 dolls with thread hair.) Now thanks to your video I know how to really restore them!
Love the vid I've just made a purchase at the doll planet and have been looking for a good tutorial and I found it Edit OMG everything dolls liked my comment!!!!!!🎉🥳
Awesome video! I work on American Girl dolls myself, so I’m not sure if I’m ready to try this, but you’ve definitely got me interested! You’re definitely talented and do a great job of explaining/showing how to do it :)
Thank you for the video and all the advices ! For the holes in the scalp, DollPlanetHair advices to put two minutes the head in boiling water. I tested it, and it works !! The holes are shrinking !😉 It avoids using some dangerous glue !
I was planning on buying the same dolls & Then customize it to look beautiful dolls, I have been watching lot of: How to customize tutorials in my past and now, I'm inspired now, but, I need some of doll supplies first on making my own first customized doll, Thank you! 😄
I just got my rerooting tool yesterday, and this video came up in my feed today! This is super helpful, i feel more confident with using my new tool now!
Only the first wave and Comic Con exclusives goes for over a hundred and thats if theyre in box and pristine condition. If theyre used at a thrift store they won' be worth that much, maybe 30 bucks at most if theyre in good condition with no glue seepage in the hair.
@@stoneumbrella I live in south America and they aree very expensive a wave 1 or collector edition can be over 800 and some dolls like cupid, abbey and skelita are overpriced too, the only chance to get them at a decent price is buying them from someone outside of the MH community ahhaha
YESSSS A NEW VIDEO, new life with barbie plzzzz, the funny thing is episode 17 of life with barbie was the first video i watched from this channel, YOUR AMAZING💕💕💕
I'm new here. Can't wait to try this out and fail a bunch of times before I get good at it. Learning how to do repaint and makeup. So hard but so fun to do. I have a long journey ahead of me lol. Thx for the video.
SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL LOVE THE COLORS IM SUCH A CHICKEN I WAS ALWAYS AFRAID TO DO REROOTING i BOUGHT THE TOOL, BUT DIDNT USE IT, THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE CLOSE UP, THIS VIDEO IS GREAT AND SUPER HELPFUL💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖👌
I was thinking of getting a couple strawberry shortcake dolls and one of them i think probably needs this, so I may try it. And hey, I love your nails.
Thank you so so much for posting this video, you make it look so easy! I’m definitely going to give us a try and thank you for the recommendations on where to get the supplies from the Etsy shop. I’m definitely going to give this a try on some of my Barbies!!
Coool!! When I was a kid I cut all the hair off one of my Barbies because I wanted to “make” a Ken doll😂🤣 now I can give her some hair after almost 30 years🥹
Okkkk! I just finished watching this, and I think I can do it!😅 Lol, I just need to be patient! Thank you for doing a giveaway! I'm so so happy and honored that I won!
Hi I don't know if you'll see this comment, but was the water spray to keep the hair together? I'm literally in the beginning of my first reroot and when I took out the hair from the tie it went EVERYWHERE. No one talks about how to help keep it together so you're not wasting hair and it would be nicer especially for beginners if you did more than a quick shot of spraying and moving on without mentioning it.
You have to keep spraying it with water slightly( which was too much work for me when I used doll planet nylon hair) I resorted to using only saran hair. They are waaaaay much easier to work with. But I'll advise not to use pressing iron on saran hair. I deep it in hot water for about 5seconds to set the hair when I'm done rerooting. *Do not use boiling water for saran hair!!!
I have also problems with rerooting. Sometimes the needle just won't go in the head or the needle is slipping inside the rerooting tool. I used the tool from Dollyhair and don't know what I am doing wrong.
Thank you for the wonderfully detailed tutorial. Recently bought Gen3 Clawdeen and wanted to give her a nicer hair fiber. So, I'm going to buy some nylon hair and reroot her asap.

Thanks for the helpful video EverythingDolls. I sometimes re-root my Doll's hair with yarn, and styling it into a high ponytail.

Rerooting is so much fun. Another thing i would recommend for a casm in the dolls head is sewing it shut if the hole is huge.

SO OBSESSED WITH THIS UA-cam CHANNEL!!
no one talks about how hard it is to take a piece of hair from the hank without getting stray hairs EVERYWHERE 😭
*her literally pulling out the hair fast* me- *one hour * finally one hair OuT
me doing same thing but using a swiss knife
Honestly it was very difficult.
Realy I not even dine with my Barbie it’s probably been 7 months or a year lol
Thankyou for showing this tutorial x
I needed a video like this guess who is gonna have a new blue-haired doll!
Kelsey, this really helped me a lot with my hair reroot for my dolls!! thank you so much for making this video!!
Wait how do we even get the rerooting starter pack because I dont have insta
Destiny reames same tho...
step 1: *download instagram*
Destiny reames you can get them on Etsy
Same
What the heck do you even need Instagram for? Just go on etsy! Dollplanet! And then buy fabric tack glue.
tip: if you’re buying dolls like monster high, see if your local thrift store has them. They go for hundreds of dollars now!
Only the first wave and Comic Con exclusives goes for over a hundred and thats if theyre in box and pristine condition. If theyre used at a thrift store they won' be worth that much, maybe 30 bucks at most if theyre in good condition with no glue seepage in the hair.

I have also problems with rerooting. Sometimes the needle just won't go in the head or the needle is slipping inside the rerooting tool. I used the tool from Dollyhair and don't know what I am doing wrong.
LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
