Ellie Warren - Shattered Glass (Heart Of Stone Edit)

- Scottish hi-NRG/dance vocalist Ellie Warren recorded the original version of "Shattered Glass" in 1980, some seven years before it became a Top 15 US dance chart hit for singer Laura Branigan. Written and produced by Bob Mitchell and Steve Coe, my expanded "Heart Of Stone" edit is based on Ellie's original 12" version...

Bring back memories of nightclubbing in the 80's
Ooooo the memories great vocal great energy thank you Ellie
I love Laura version....Laura`s voice is fantastic....she gives the touch...I hate comparings version...I grew up with Laura.
Laura for sure, more energetic and gr8 vocals from her❤
Awesome ❤❤❤
WOW, althought SAW did a better versión for Laura Branigan, I have a special love for this original one, and your edit is awesome, as always. Thanks a lot for sharing your hard work.
My pleasure, Emilio!
Actually I am torn which version is better, Laura or the original. Actually I thought the Laura Brannigan version was the original LOL. Thanks for upload. Enjoyed it.
I like Ellie's best.raw energy. I like Hazell's version 2nd as far as SAW production
Hazell Dean didn't sing it for SAW, it was Laura Branigan.
Until now, I thought that Laura Branigan's recording of this song was the original. I had never heard this track before and didn't even know about this singer. This recording must be from 1979/or 80. Good recording, but Branigan's is far much better.
Well, Laura's version is superior, but there is a lot here. I never knew this singer existed.
Please listen to her song Satellites. Nandlmusic has done another long edit of it.
Laura's version was more catchy & energic
I agree. Laura Branigan's vocals alone blow this one out of the water. I know this the original. Actually Ellie Warren sounds a little like Hazel Dean.
SAW versioned some very good songs like this one or Love pains, making better versions and turning them into big hits, and a lot of people think that theirs are the originals instead covers.
STEPS have done the same with Story of a heart and Something in your eyes, for example, and even with a PWL tune as Last thing on my mind.
And also with bangers like Tragedy or Chain reaction, perhaps doing a better versión than the original.
With Better the devil you know they did a very very good cover, but in this case, I continue prefering Kylie's original.
