    The sauce likely has cornstarch in it. It’s very common in Chinese cooking to use a mixture of cornstarch and water (1 to 1 ratio) as a thickening agent. The food looked so delicious though. 🤠

Good luck finding it there though, I would guess. It looks like some tasty comfort food.

    Mmm. Gyoza might be nice. It's one of those things I can eat when my stomach's bothering me, which it often is. It's one thing I like about the Cheap Eats series, cause there's all these little places I could probably grab a little something as I go, if I'm not up to a big meal all at once. :) I think it was Eric that went to this little karaage place by Ueno, if I recall, that I'd be psyched to check out. :)

    I am more interested in how both KydeEric stay so THIN after all videos of eating foods ad libitum. They look at BMI of 22-24? It has been a mystery for a long time. Yes, the Japanese lifestyle is healthier, but it's still very easy to gain weight. Japanese bookstores are filled with dieting books. Hope you make a video about your dieting method.

    • @kydeanderic
      @kydeanderic  3 роки тому +2

      We eat vastly less than people seem to assume. Sure, we make videos eating things....but everyone eats. We just film it. It's not like we eat more than others, in fact compared to most westerners we probably eat less, by quite a bit. Kyde has a pretty good understanding of her calorie intake just from putting forth effort to learn how much is on various things, and has structured what she eats around that data. I just don't eat much as I basically match what she eats and add a little bit more die to my size. Exercise helps too, Kyde walls a few times a week, I jog. We don't have a "diet" to share, it's just understanding of using the energy (calories) that you put into your body so they don't turn turn into extra body mass. -E

    • @kydeanderic

      Yea, so, when we went to lunch I had brought my camera just to shoot some photos around town after eating so we didn't have the nice mic as we had not expected to shoot a video at all. To lighten my load I had left the nice mic at home, but we sat down and realized how it'd be a good time to film as the place wasn't stacked with customers and a line out the door. Anyways, that's why the audio wasn't top notch, we didn't have the gear with us. I actually fixed the audio quite a bit in editing, the original files sound a lot worse. -E
