In today’s age, it’s easy to catch up on your favorite shows. Along with their first-airing, episodes can be recorded on DVRs, downloaded instantly through multiple platforms, and streamed online through a lot of official websites. Years ago, when an episode premiered, you would have to watch it when it first aired or wait for it to go through the syndication cycle. In some cases, shows would be so controversial that the episodes would never make it to that cycle. Protests, fan complaints, or ill-timed plot options would force the episode to disappear from the line-up and create urban legends about their existence.
There were hundreds of episodes of The Twilight Zone, but among all of the scary elements and content, only one was ever banned from making it to air again. The new remake of Hawaii Five-O has a lot of great stories, but the show will probably never touch the banned episode of the original series that featured a character’s hanging. South Park has covered all types of subjects, but nothing compares to an episode that they were forced to censor due to real threats. You would never think that a children’s show like Sesame Street would need to get banned, but that’s exactly what happened back in the 1970’s. The same thing also happened with the beloved favorite Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Cartoon Network has always pushed the limit with some of their cartoons, but the content of a Dexter’s Laboratory episode may have pushed things way too far. Other shows with banned episodes includes Bevis and Butthead, Tiny Toon Adventures, Seinfeld, and the Disney classic series TaleSpin.

I am sorry, but you cannot blame Beavis and Butt-Head for a child that had easy access to matches, not enough supervision, and the mentality of an arsonist, for burning down a house.
Not to mention, no access to cable. The mother was looking for a scapegoat to cover up her stupidity.
I agree. Also, he was obviously too young to be watching B&B and MTV in general.
Was it stated they had no cable television tho
There a rumor I heard that they did even had cable to watch that. They just blamed to cover-up their parents' mistakes.
It makes no sense that they can make fun of every religion except Islam that is seriously wrong
exactly!
Paul Buterbaugh Islam has guns and bombs, other religions do not.
If the Christians would get the bombs and guns, it wouldn't be a problem. We all know that people are realy scared to offend the Islam and thats why they deleted it.
True that's a good point I mean remember Charlie ebdo but I still think that this shouldn't be happening
True that is part of the problem like Charlie ebdo In France but I still find it disappointing
7:45 Sesame Street is so old it's older than television itself 😂
I wonder if that was intentional? LOL
south park is an adult show anyway
Its for kids age 15 +
Todd Taylor it tv-mama so 17+
I know right
@Killua Zoldyck On Direct Tv on the parental info it says for ages 15 + and if you look it up it says its not for kids under 15 lol
@@toddtaylor8368 it started off with a 15+ rating but some Seasons are rated 18
Lol I've totally seen that episode of Dexters Laboratory 100%
Terpenator it's really disturbing
Did anyone else catch that Sesame Street (according to this channel) has been on air since 1869 till Present Day?
JumpRopeQ back then it was live and without a screen!
He ment 1969 im pretty sure.
1869? No tv back than dude. The show started in nov 1969
Where's the friends 9/11 episode? It aired when it was new but it disappeared after that
Justin Willis Wait what, that was a thing
Justin Willis The way I remember it the scene where Chandler joked about a bomb was rewritten, so the version with the bomb joke was never aired even once. However, the scene itself was later released as a bonus on the dvd.
Seinfeld DID NOT run from 1995-2002. Where did they pull this information from? Screen Rant is starting to slip a bit.
Sesame Street
PBS (1869 - Present)
1869?!
Boogie
As I recall "One Beer" was *VERY* clear in it's message as Buster and friends literally told you the intent of the episode at the very end. :/
MinionOfDeth2112 exactly
7:43. "Sesame Street started in 1869"
Where's the episode of Pokémon with the Porygon?
Call me a skeptic, but I find it hard to believe that Sesame Street has been running for 148 years...
7:42
Logan Chapman They aired it 60 years before the invention of the TV, now that's innovated
This video's full of errors. Look how they spelled Tiny Toon "Advantures"
These banned episodes are a result of people lacking in the areas of humor and common sense.
So many text errors. "Tiny Toon Atvantures", "Sesame Street PBS (1869-present)"
It's been my life long dream to watch that episode from South Park.
Sesame Street 1869 - Present Day 😂
What is the song @9:54? It sounded a lot like a Sleepwalk tribute...
I didn't know that Sesame Street was around in the 1800s! That's a little off.
“Whoa, this is heavy Doc! What are we do? How are we gonna stop Oscar from stealing the Delorian in the first place?!”
It was a spelling mistake, obviously.
anybody else notice it says pbs 1869-present? think I spy a typo
MrBillandphill They also misspelled Adventures when talking about Tiny Toons, they spelled it Advantures
@7:43, it says 1869-Present hahah
The Talespin clips didn't match the episode. You're talking about "Flying Dupes", but the clips are from "Stormy Weather".
5:19 "Tiny Toons Advantures"
Some intern got lazy
Takuache cuhh @1:03 🤣🤙🏾
Didn't mention during the Beavis & Butthead part that not only did the episode never air again, but they also stopped using Beavis's catchphrase "Fire! Fire!" Also, while it is not full episodes, a lot of old cartoons have been cut because of "inappropriate" content, such as the end of a couple of Tom & Jerry episodes that show a character shooting themselves in the head. They will still show the episode, but the episode will end before that scene takes place.
Wow, I was waiting for that Pikachu once again in Electric Soldier Porygon. But awesome content guys, something new.
5:19 Tiny Toons "ADVANTURES" XD
plus Sesame Street has apparently been running since 1869...
The movie emojis you put up is Johnny
ATHF. {Aqua teen hunger force} had 2 banned episodes, handbannana and the Dickesode
Hand Banana is easily one of my faves, Dickesode is my least.
albert verhei Why was it banned
Handbanana and dockside aren't banned is only one episode that was banned and it was boston
I was surprised "A.D.D.: The Last 'D' is for Disorder" from MTV's Clone High didn't make it, even if it is a bit obscure. The show got the head of MTV temporarily kidnapped in India until he promised to pull/ban an episode where Gandhi's clone gets ADD.
Also Sesame Street wasn't around in the 1860s.
Where's Buffallo Gals from Cow and Chicken?
The CENSORED in the South Park episode looks like an edit some UA-camr made on a video
Beavis and Butt-Head being the cause of the little boy burning down his family’s trailer and subsequently killing his baby sister has been debunked. Even back when it occurred, the mom’s own neighbors told news sources that the home didn’t have cable at the time. The boy never watched the show. His mom was a drug addict who didn’t want to be blamed for allowing her children easy access to matches. The show was meant to be an easy scapegoat for her inaction and the now-grown boy has admitted as much. Heck, news crews were contacted (reportedly by the mom herself) before the Fire Department. That’s why footage shows the firemen entering the scene instead of them already being there before the cameras come on. Pretty sad. Wish the original episodes would air in their unedited entirety!
Wait, a bomb dedicated to explode when opened? Didn't something similar happen in Peter Pan?
05:18 it says ADVANTURES
The Tiny Toons Adventures intro has a misspelling in it. It says Advantures.
Can anyone link me any of these episodes? Particularity Mr Rodgers
What bout the banned Pokémon episode?
it looks like your captions have some mistakes (dates)
Why does Sesame Street say 1869?
When the Seinfeld episode "The Puerto Rican Day Parade" aired, my friend said, "They'll get a lot of complaints" and "They'll never let them show that again." To no surprise, it was quite some time before I saw it in syndication, though I didn't notice whether the burning flag was included.
whats the south park song
Oh i guessed there would be one pokemon Episode with the 2 Towers.
Did anybody see the Sesame Street date....? 1869-present day...? Ok...
I love south park, beavis and butthead and adult shows in general
It says Seasame Street aired in 1869 when it was 1969 wtf
You know the drill
No drill this time... sorry
7:44
So... apparently Sesame Street has been on the air for 149 years?????
Sesame Street, on air since 1869
i saw beaves and butthead when i was 4 and kept watching it untill i was like 7 or 8, i was never forbidden to watch stuff that was aired on tv.
200 and 201 are my favourite South Park episodes and btw they have made fun of hundreds if not thousands of celebrities
I've seen the Tiny Toons & the Dexter Laboratory episodes
why does the title card for Hawaii 5 0 say it ended in 2012 it was still goin on when this video was made
Never been so early....apart from when im in the wife
Running dates of some shows are off. Use of Google should help
Ok, what's with top and bottom black bars? Why are you stuffing 4:3 ratios into a 21:9 ratio?
This show is incredibly poorly written.
Wow, can I have that ten minutes back? So boring.
None of them should've been banned.
Tiny Toon "Advantures" 😂😂😂
the said sesame street started in 1869
Did any one else notice that it said Sesame Street started in 1896?
*1896
Haven't seen this in ages
I would always watch Dexter's lab and I remember that episode with the silver dude...
Seaseme Street has been on for many years.
Tiny toons ADVANTURES
Very insresting
7:46 does it actually say Sesame Street started in 1869?
5:19 A D V *A* N T U R E
Where is Electric Soldier Porygon?
Psycho is the movie.
Notice how the x games arent on tv anymore now they need soldiers again to enlist and they dont want to cripple their own citizens to the point where we cant work the fryers at wendys
Where is Family Guy's "When you wish upon a Weinstein"?
No Porygon episode?!?!?!? Come on screen rant
How could seame street be bad
Electric porygon soldier pokemon
"Advantures" @ 5:18
South Park wasn't aired only once! I watched it a lot with my mom when I was young! (Idk why she let me watch a lot of stuff with blood cuss words etc)
Emerald Blogs they're talking about the episode not the show
You're still young, kid.
"Seasame Street" says 1869 to present day. You mean 1969 correct?
Andrew Grabon nope.
FROG BASEBALLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Weird... I can remember that Dexter episode being aired quite a few times in my country, but only in the earlier days of cartoon network.
Must have been due to them changing a lot of things tough, I remember Crunk vomiting offscreen, but the heroes noted it was due to having been up too late after a party, no drinks being mentioned.
While the Silver Spooner was just called The Silver Spoon.
while his voice was more aimed at a "I'm so haughty and way too amazing for everyone, let me just grab my monocle." rather then gay.
Also saw the south park episode multiple times.
Who does the on-screen graphics for this?? Tiny Toon AdvAntures? And Sesame Street has been around since 1869? Well, it has according to the writing. Maybe you guys need an editor.
I've seen that Dexter episode!!
That Dexter episode was a very common rerun in Mexico, I'd see it about three times a week
well south park isnt banned for me i can watch it every day. ;D
not even close
They are referring to specific episodes, not entire shows. None of the series listed were banned.
Wow... Sesame Street has been on for so long, they were on before TV was even invented.
The episode of the Simpsons where they went to New York and the Twin Towers were heavily featured was sorta banned after you know when. I never understood that completely. I guess it was because of the sensitivity of viewers. To be clear, I'm not making light of that day. But as far as I know, it never aired again. I think...?
I'm not sure about America, but it's aired in the UK several times since then.
Does anyone remember the episode where Pepper needs a support for a trampoline lesson? Although that episode aired once in 1998, I watched that episode in 2006, and my favorite scene is where she shows her support at everyone in school and everyone got flashed at it.
How does sesame street from 1869?
I have a feeling you still watch Sesame Street.
Whats that? Airing..?
Mr rogers was my child hood show idk but y'all but it thought a lot of life lessons and we respect each other a have fun with our friends
You can still watch the 2oo south park episode, however sexual harrasment panda is still banned
not really, it was on comedy central around 2am last week 8/26/17
Why would it air on tv but not their official site?
I think a little mistake slipped into this episode. I really doubt that the Sesame street started to air in 1869, unless they started with real puppets on a street before switching to the little screen.
They did. Exactly what they did.
Sesame Street started in 1869???
Beavis and Butthead don't have sisters I guess this video is just for people who don't even watch the show. Also beavis and Butthead never burned down their house you're just putting episodes together just to make something fake.
I wonder when Rick and morty will cross the line I love that show so much and I'm surprised they haven't crossed the line yet
so many of these are “who thought this was a good idea?” and so many other ones are “how did so many get offended?” it’s fun to find which is which :)
Where's Pokemon and family guy
I like turtles
Baby blue
