Last week I replaced the leaking power steering pressure hose/line on my 07 Pilot. It had been leaking for over a year and may have been leaking from a loose sensor on that line. But anyway, removing the flare nut from the power steering rack was very difficult because there’s not much room to turn a wrench. It would have been a lot easier if I had replaced the return hose at the same time because it was blocking access to the flare nut. Live and learn. I’ll replace them both the next time. Great video, thanks!
I have this exact issue. I put a rebuilt transmission and new torque converter in my 04 Pilot 15k miles ago, then last month the TC solenoid failed, and the TC wasn't locking up. Replaced the solenoid, but 100 miles later, I'm not losing 4th and 5th gear and reverse after a few miles. Shutting it off and restarting gets them both working for a few minutes, then they're gone again. Wondering if the TC failed and sent debris through the transmission, requiring the whole thing to be cleaned again?
Just curious...what would u charge for something like this. I have a 2003 Pilot with 260k miles, same color and similar transmission issues. Still drives but sometimes shifts are rough.
hi) I'm watching your channel and I like the Honda pilot)) I also have a pilot in 2003) please tell me, do the owners of the Honda pilot in the USA do maintenance of the automatic transmission according to the regulations by disassembling it, changing all filters and rubber bands? or do they still drive until the last one until the automatic transmission dies? if there is a full automatic transmission service, then at what mileage does this happen? according to the regulations 200,000 km, (125,000 miles) and after that you need to change everything in the automatic transmission with analysis) I'm just curious) I received a contract automatic transmission from the USA with a mileage of 206,000 miles, so I do not know if they did it or not) please tell me I have an automatic transmission installed and it goes perfectly) but there is still excitement that she has such a big mileage and how long she will live)
When driving an older Honda I would change the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles. You can buy some transmission fluid additive called lube guard platinum. Put that in with every fluid change. Thats about the best you can for keeping it serviced. As for a high mileage good used transmission with 200,000 miles i would guess the fluid was hardly changed and its never been opened up. If it works it works. Just drive it like a normal person and keep it service and you should be fine.
Torque convertor was replaced. But after about 150 miles envisions and transmissions came on ,, we went back to dealer, they said torque was fine and that now the transmission needed replacement but is not covered--- I was having no problems with tranisson before they replaced it -- now they say 800p or so to fix which I do not have --- any suggestions. Could they have messed up transmission ? Please reply ty
They should have replaced your whole transmission the first time. The torque converter is just a component of the transmission. Once a torque convertor fails it throws trash through the unit and all of the other components have to be cleaned or replaced. Not surprised your transmission still has issues. Sounds like that dealer is trying to get out of a transmission warranty.
My 2003 pilot has the check engine and VTM4 lights on. Had it checked many times. No answers. The transmission seems to shift late to me and hard sometimes. If anybody has had similar problem and found the solution it would be great to find out. glad I found your channel.
Great video! I love how this Honda truck got a new lease on life! I hope the new owner takes care of her.

I know your pain. That line a very hard to get to. Ive had to replace it before on a acura. Thanks for the comment. Be sure to subscribe for me.
My 2004 power steering high-pressure pipe is wet. Do you think I need to change it?
@@ygd6078try tightening the sensor first to rule that out. Check for leaks from any hoses above and from the power steering pump O-rings
Lucky your state allows inspection to pass with a check engine light on! Nice fix :)

Buen trabajo,
Where are you located?
I bought a 03 pilot today with a bad transmission. No reverse. I’ll just replace it since I’m not on your skill level. Enjoyed the video
Is it the same for a 2011? I got a 4wd

Usually around 3,000.

Have issues with my Pilots gear in 4-5 gear switching, but there aren't anyone in my country who able rebuild it like U did, nice job.

How did you keep the powersteering rack in it when lowering the subframe?
Ratchet straps to the struts
Good work
