"If anything is gonna go wrong it's gonna go wrong now" xD Ulrika Jonsson was a smashing host, shame she disappeared from the spotlight years later cause she had a bright wonderful personality. UK got off to the best start possible and Slovakia's 8 pts from Croatia would be it's only mark of the night, Terry oddly wasn't bitter about Greece giving Cyprus the usual 12 lol, good ol' Marie Miriam giving the French points and how did Belen of Spain read out the wrong votes? 1998 was the first year of 100% Televoting(except from 3 countries) which was considered by BBC and boy the amount of damage it caused in the voting and reputation the next 10 years!

I think he quite liked the Cypriot song, and the prospect of going to a warm country next year was desirable for him.

The most exciitng voting in the history of Eurovision(Yeah I know Switzerland won by only 1 point in 88 but here we have 4 countries fighting for victory and in the end UK that was only in 4-5th place during the voting got 2nd place one point over Malta what a thriller that was).

Greece and Cyprus are one people two nations and other countries exchange twelve points and vice versa like Moldova and Romania who are one people two nations since these two countries have Romanian as their official language and exchange twelve points and vice versa. Azerbaijan and Turkey are one people two nations and they exchange twelve points and vice versa.

Spain's vote was wrongly tallied and, as such, after the show, Germany received 12 more points than they actually got!

The Spanish vote was screwed up; they somehow (don't ask me how) awarded points to placing 2-11 instead of 1-10, meaning a big discrepancy on the final vote (Germany ended up 12 points less than they should've gotten). Seriously, how did they screw that up?
