Drae you keep complaining about the lack of steps and that game keeps doing stuff for you but I think you can change that by changing the job scope from medium to something larger/more difficult. Also, love this series and would love to see more!! ☺️
Drae when you are driving the dump truck full you have to put your tarp over your load otherwise as you seen the wind will blow your dirt out that's why you lost so much if you put the tarp over it stops it from losing any if you look at the front of the dump body you'll see it it's on two arms
The Roadworks task (paving/etc) is the final task so the $395K is likely including that + the total job completion. Idk why they don't put the final pay for completion in the debriefing but ok.

Drae, in case you didn't notice there are both soil and asphalt compactors. The machine you mentioned as being used for snow removal in Canada also can be used to spread the base for an asphalt road.
Also love the fact that he claims that you dont use the soil compactors that much.. being in the industry and knowing that you compact the ground before you build anything kinda kills me a little on the inside.. but its funny :P

Also, I genuinely didn't know that the Devs put the Wilhelm Scream in the Game, I legit thought that it was some comedic editing on your part LMAO!
Interesting with a dozer is that it's working as a tank, no interaction you go full speed and when using it you slow one or both "wheels". Very effective to move alot of soil and when pushing crushed rock you get a really good solid ground as the rocks roll into place and fill the gaps when you work it. Bad thing about dozer, high cost, high maintaince, high fuel consumption so used only for big roads or big areas. Also it is really hard to use if inexperienced. A big dozer doing bad work will take alot of time and money to correct.

A Motor Grader is another road building vehicle,it has a blade under that ling arm that sticks out the front that is used to create a smooth surface for (usually dirt) roads,although as you stated it can sometimes be used in place of a snowplow,though some other machines such as loaders and bulldozers can too
I remember getting this title back then, but gave-up on it because of how some of it works ( like compacting the asphalt on the bridge ) clearly not even 1/2 done on some parts but it gives us the 100%, that alone made me uninstall. Yes it's not like some others where you search for 30 minutes for that 1% missing but they could make it a bit more realistic. So many of the " Simulator " games we get are like 5% real life simulation, too many are not trying enough and for me just get boring super fast playing them.
Funny how u used to be in the asphalt industry and don’t know much about it I’ve been working in asphalt for 5 years now I run a cat CB15 asphalt compactor doing major hwy work currently we r building a new 2 line in western Kansas
Thinking about it the asphalt job probably pays more than the crane job due to resource allocation. With the crane you are spending just gas,and vehicle maintenance. With the asphalt,you are paying for the asphalt,the gas and maintenance of three vehicles.

I've found asphalt to be ridiculously profitable in this game, also buying a semi and multi trailer allows you to transport a lot of stuff at once and saves you money when fast traveling.
Speaking from someone who does stuff like this for a living, we use compactor for dirt alot we use rollers that have drums called a sheep foot and the smooth drum so you were definitely wrong when saying you don't really use rollers unless your in the Asphalt business
I am a union carpenter in Chicago commercial framing and now concrete and I love watching how ridiculous your videos are with this series it is the best thing ever.. thinking like if it’s really this easy. And you probably still make more money than me lol😂

Drea I understand you get plenty of comments but...... you need to stop renting the Roller at the same time as the layer save yourself some money on renting fees

Just an advice. Soil Compactors arent the same as Asphalt Compactors. The difference is that Soil Compactors have wheels on the back axle.
