Versammlung verbessern durch HALBE PARADEN (Half halts)

Hey guys :)
I never talked about the ´half halts´ and how to teach the horse here before, but this is a very important topic in the dressage training, especially when you are working more towards collection.
This is just a short version of this topic, the long version will be an online tutorial video that I am working on at the moment.
More information on this will follow in the next weeks or months so stay tuned. :)

ich bin so dankbar, dass nach Jahren 'halbe parade ist ein bisschen Hand schließen', endlich Informationen zu verfügung stehen die erklären wie man dem Pferd die Hilfen erstmal erklärt (erklären muss) und wie sie wirken, ohne dass sich jemand irgendein Gefasel ausdenkt, dass er selber nicht versteht. Danke für deine logische aufeinander aufbauenden Erklärungen, sowie deine gut durch dachten Begründungen

Vielen Dank für dein feedback. :D Schön dass dir das Video weiterhilft. Die Lehrfilme sind noch in Arbeit, ich werde dann ankündigen wo die zu finden sind. Das helle Pad ist von ´pioneer´, ich weiß allerdings gar nicht ob die solche Pads noch produzieren. Ich fand es bisher aber immer am Besten, weil es so flach und unauffällig ist. Man sitzt wie auf dem blanken Pferderücken. :D

Where do you touch with the whip on the The horse from the ground during the half halt and how do you translate that to when you start teaching a half hard from your core and seat?

Do you mean half halt or school halt in standing? because for the half halts in motion you don´t necessarily use a whip signal.
For the school halt:
There is no ´one point´ and it´s gonna work like in everything in horse training. :) You have to figure that out for each horse individually. But the common points for touché are on the croupe, or better towrds the top of the tail, or lower down on the joints. You can also gently wipe with the whip from the croupe down to the hind leg, to show the horse to bend here and lower the hindquarter.
And only start teaching this from under the saddle, when the horse understands the movement and is able to execute it without any further help from you. At this point showing the whip and using a voice signal should be enough, and this you can also use sitting on the horse. Also touching lightlxy with the whip on the croupe (or top of tail) from above works in most cases.

Danke für den Vorschlag, das ist eine gute Idee. :) So etwas hatte ich schonmal gemacht aber das ist auch schon wieder 3-4 Jahre her, vielleicht könnte man da einfach eine Neuauflage machen. Ich kümmere mich drum. :)
