Edward is beautiful. Fresh air is good for babies. Taking him out did not make him worse, probably just the natural progression of his cold. If he can suck his binky he is breathing ok. While a sick baby can be scary he seemed to be happy throughout his cold. First cold down, you will soon be a pro.

Edward is so precious ❤️❤️, sometimes putting the baby in the bathroom and turning on the shower not it works as a humidifier and breaks up the congestion. You are such an amazing Mommy ❤️❤️❤️

Try putting a few drops of eucalyptus oil in shower once water is hot
I remember sitting and sleeping in a lounger with my son on my chest so he could sleep in an upright position. What a happy baby Edward is!

Yep that’s Arthur the aardvark. The sinus squeeze is hard to do since they hate it, but it’s what they need. Vicks for babies, playing on tummy, and there’s even scented plug ins that will help. Plug the smelly stick in, give a warm bath with scented for sinus congestion hep baby wash, then bed time. Works for babies and adults. He’s at the very cute time where he’ll mimic your sounds. Tell him I Love You in the same tone every time and he’ll start saying it too. Sounds like he’s close!
Yes, I always thought Baby Edward looks like DC. But seeing him laying in the bed the morning after the hard night, I see a lot of Momma Cornstar in his face, especially his eyes! Right?? He's so adorable. I'm saving this as a favorite video so I can watch it over and over again. I love that you showed so much of him - that's what we want! He'll be a toddler in no time!

Don’t forget the gentle touch massages on the little peanut’s nasal bridge, forehead, temples, and cheekbones. My children all had respiratory issues (I’m a grandma now) and the warm baths, saline only-two drops in each nostril works but is upsetting (salt natural dries up passages), humidifier, we removed potential allergens or pollutants from the home air by vacuuming up pet hair, no candles, and no smoking (if people were smokers). It’s tough when they get their first colds. You’re an attentive momma and doing so well. Congratulations to motherhood 🙏💕🌻

Tip that worked for me. Let Edward sleep sitting up in his swing. I used a vibrating bouncy chair to elevate my son’s head bc it helps them breathe easier. Lungs fill with congestion when we sleep esp flat. It settles.

Mama, I would love to say that it gets easier but my baby boy is 17 years old and I still hate it when he doesn’t feel good. You are doing such a good job. Keep up the good work.
I'm an RN at a pediatric hospital and we always get babies with RSV or bronchiolitis. I can confirm that all babies hate any type of nose suction, even if it's what they need. We have to mega swaddle them and occasionally have another person to help hold their head still so we can get all the snot out.
Beautiful Babee Edward! So happy. He has his Daddy's smile. Those eyes are so bright and interested in his world. May God continue to bless him and his mama and papa. Going to be so much fun to watch him become a farmer!
Nave get a warm water vaporizer and use Vicks. Put a little on the bottom of his feet and use a very small amount on his throat. It will help him breathe easier. I’m a mom and my daughters are 58 & 60.
Old fashioned remedy but it works. This same remedy works for adults too.
I love your calm, loving way of dealing with your baby. All babies get sick. You are a good mommy.
He's so big already. When they're sick I don't take them outside at all. Even if it's beautiful. When they're super congested, run the shower and stand in the steam with them. It will break it up. The sucky bulb is your best friend. In a few months he should be big enough for baby chest rub. It's like Vicks but not Vicks, it's weaker and has different stuff in it, but works for babies. I had eight babies...it gets easier. And yes, it's one of the worst feelings when your baby is sick and there is little you can do. You're a good mom, Hneiva! Hang in there, baby.
Love his heart, he looks like Cole when he smiles and he loves to try and talk. I can’t get over how much hair he has. Praying for little Edward that he continues to get better everyday.
Steam up the bathroom...hot water running...5 minutes then out. Elevate his head slightly by placing blankets *under* the mattress so that he can drain a bit.

Edward is such a happy little boy. Bless him. Try getting a small steam diffuser (they’re quite cheap), get some eucalyptus essential oil, put a couple of drops of oil into water and let the fragranced steam come out, that should help Edwards breathing, or rub a tiny bit of vapou rub onto his pyjamas (around the chest area of his pj’s and let the vapours help him breathe. You only need a tiny dab on. It helps soothe their breathing. If you look it up eucalyptus is brilliant for helping all people (inc infants) breathe. Just don’t put it on his sensitive young skin.

Warm a cup of water up and place the bottle of Vicks Vapor Rub in it until it’s Luke warm and rub it on the baby chest, back, sole of feet and behind ears and cover him up. Also to get congestion out, blow in the baby’s mouth to bring it out.

I always hated when my babies got sick , they can't tell you what is wrong or where they are hurting , it just broke my heart . When a baby is congested or has the croupping cough go in the bathroom and turn on all the hot water facets and get the bathroom steamed up and then take the baby in there (door closed) and sit in the steam . Also rub chest and bottom of baby's feet with vick's . Another tip is : the time to clip the finger and toe nails is when the baby is asleep. Thank you for sharing your precious Edward with all of us who watches yours and Cole's channels.. I love hearing a baby doing their baby talk..

Fresh air is good for babies. Colds always get worse at night. Sitting up and steam helps. Set him in the bathroom while you take a hot shower.

My kids & now my grandchild would get congested & letting the shower run & just sitting in the bathroom w them for a little while to breathe in the steam seemed to help. Just thought I'd share that. What a good mama you are! I personally used to put my babies on my chest & laid the recliner ALL THE WAY BACK, & we could both sleep a lot more comfortably. The inclination helps them to breath & this way you both get more rest. They don’t like the boogie suckers, but they are so necessary. Keep up the good work.
Nave, what a precious little buddy! He's wonderful and so talkative! I know you enjoy him so much! Glad he's doing better. I'll share a tip about congestion. When my son was sick like that, I let him sleep in the car seat. It seemed to help with the drainage not gathering in his throat. Take care!

Aww poor little bugger. He is so cute. He looks like your brother to me. But, at about 3:28... I saw Cole in his eyes and expressions. Be sure to listen to his chest and back at bed time to make sure it hasn't moved down into his lungs.

Nights are always worse when you are sick keeping his head elevated is good.
Advice my mother in law gave me when I had my first baby: don’t let air blow in his face. When going in or outside (like in and out of the car, a building, or wherever… put something loose or lightly over his face to shield him. Especially cool nights and car air conditioning. I never ever had a croupy baby and my boys never had an ear infection. My second one had asthma but that developed later. My sons are 45 and 43!!! I’ve told countless mommas and if you stick to it you should not have many problem s!
Def make sure coles got all the remodeling dust out the house best as possible. Old asbestos is horrible stuff. But kid will build up immune system. Don't stress unless its major nave

Good job mommy! It is so scary when little ones are not healthy . When my sons were babies we had them sleep on their tummy . Now they have them sleep on the backs and congestion doesn’t seem to clear as well . I was lucky and could stay home with them and keep them upright against my shoulder when they were congested. I think we each try many things until we find something that works that time. Of course it may or may not work next time ! Just hang in there! He will be running the planter in no time!
