I've been thinking about trying that! Obviously, it can only be so short, but I plan on trying it out! I'm at NovaKnowsBeauty on IG and would love to connect with more nail peeps!
When I squeeze out too much Acrygel I carefully place the excess on a piece of nail form backing paper, or a little piece of parchment paper, or a silicone mat, and use it to form the next nail. I make sure that it, and the brush, are well out of the way of the LED lamp, of course! I used to try to leave it on the spatula end of the brush, but it took me about two balls of product to figure out that the product on the spatula would just end up on the back of my hands, NOT my nails. I love this Acrygel color, too. It's a glorious shade of pink! My next Naio order will definitely include a tube of Tempting Fate! But if any company ever makes my dream shade of hybrid gel, which is a neutral to cool medium pink (like Tempting Fate) but with a golden shimmer, brand loyalty be damned, I WILL buy it!
Anybody else Russian here? I've never seen this form of nails... At real life ) I've subscribed to this channel because of Christina's voice. Very emotional :3
I'm not Russian but I do follow many Russian nail "Uvelir" and the real Russian almond is my favourite nail shape. Especially thevones with an aquarium tip 😍
My fave shape nail thanks to you Kirsty and you should of one the Influencer awards I was so excited for you to win I thought u would have it in the bag love yA!!!
Seriously never watched anyone so detailed as you! I’ve probably watched all your vids in less than a week 😩😂 hopefully I can get as good at doing nails like these one day!
I have to say of all the nail shapes out there, my favourites must be Russian Almond and Coffin/Ballerina.. although I can't wear them on my wide nail beds I love them on others... so stunning and elegant...
Ok I need to try the Russian almond with acrygel. When I did it with acrylic, it was a lot of filing! Lol I’ve found a lot of my acrylic clients are changing over too! It seems to withstand a lot more day to day. Xx
Hiya Kirsty, I just wanna ask about could you tell us what is the different between the russian almond and the gothic almond, please? Im a nail tech, but I'm a little bit struggle with these shapes. I'm really appreciated. Love your vids. 🥰
Can you please explain to me what the difference between Acrygel and Polygel are? And how different they are to work with? Maybe you can do a video on the both of them for me please... Thank You.
Your application, forming and filing technique is...just...flawless!💚🙌🏻✨ such a pro 😍 I just got my supplies to start doing my own acrylic nails and I’m so nervous they’ll turn out janky 😳😖😅
Don't worry, you didn't leave the first comment. It is one of the wonky things about UA-cam. Many of the most popular channels will show zero views but hundreds of likes, which isn't even possible. The programming behind YT is buggy AF!
Love a Russian almond, and love Acrygel! I have to pay closer attention to the apex on anyone but Fay. I have to keep reminding myself...it’s an apex, not a Fay-pex!!! I think I need to do a full set of Acrygel nails. That should give me the time to perfect the shape.
I only do my own nails (normally hard gel or poly gel as I haven’t practiced with acrylic in a long time). I always mess up the filing of a Russian almond. Please please please could we have a video of Russian almond on a short nail length please 🙏🏻
OMG! Love this. Also LOVE those little scissors you were using. What brand are they, type/name of scissor and where I can get them? Pleeeaaassee and thank you 😘
Excuse my ignorance, what's the difference between Russian nails and ordinary ones. Love your videos even if I'll never be able to do anything like them x
You can, maybe lower the speed and really the only bit you'll need is a sanding band, that is actually how soft it is, maybe another bit for the cuticle area though or just a regular file, with hybrid acrylic gels they are easy to sculpt so too much filing isn't necessary usually unless you're doing like a design maybe a reverse french with or without a extended nail bed, color blocking etc. where you need excess product to make the look.
I’m utterly obsessed with this shape. Very elegant and then BAM a bit of sass with that edge. Gorgeous!
I would love to see a short length version of this shape!
I was litterly going to ask the same thing. I have an active length. Wondering if this style, can be done in a shorter length.
I've been thinking about trying that! Obviously, it can only be so short, but I plan on trying it out!
I'm at NovaKnowsBeauty on IG and would love to connect with more nail peeps!
Look up kirstys parker home salon tour if you look at her hands she has a shorter version of it
This shape can't work on short nails.
Watching these I feel I have no idea wtf I’m doing with nails ! But I learn so much. I wish people around my area wanted cooler designs/extensions

As an American, I can say that yes, we use the word 'perpendicular' as often as we possibly can lol
I want to see short square nails using acrylgel, I love the Russian almond nail 😍❤
Seriously never watched anyone so detailed as you! I’ve probably watched all your vids in less than a week 😩😂 hopefully I can get as good at doing nails like these one day!

Yes Kirsty. As an american I can certify that we do indeed walk around saying "perpendicular" all the time! We say it instead of "Hello"!

Me too!
You look so cute all pink and I love the hair
Have you ever done nails for models or designers because your nails in the intro are just ART 🎨
I'm sure she made a set for museum here. I'll have to look it up. Think her interview about it is on here somewhere. X
Just looked and it's the Victoria and Albert museum and she has worked on London fashion week. It truly is miniature works of art she creates. X
I really like that style if nail
Beautiful nails❤️
As a Russian nail tech I had no idea that this form is called "Russian almond" 😆 the tip is too pointy but sides are great 😀
Oooo yes, love this shape ❤❤❤
Amazing just love that shape on a nail ❤
That's so interesting and unique
Best shape ever,🔝
It's ok, if we can use construction gel instead of acrilic? THANK YOU!!! 😘

Omg it’s so beautiful 😍
Gorgeous! What’s the removal process of acrygel?
Kirsty, I love it! Absolutely beautiful ❤️. You are more than a Nail Artist, you are a Nail Magician! 💅😘😍😉
Would love to see Adam try using acrygel see how hie goes with that.
Gostaria de fazer um curso com vc.
Your application, forming and filing technique is...just...flawless!💚🙌🏻✨ such a pro 😍
I just got my supplies to start doing my own acrylic nails and I’m so nervous they’ll turn out janky 😳😖😅
They almost certainly will come out janky, but don't let that discourage you.
Are you on IG?!
I just started doing nails and really want to connect with more "at home nails" people!
I'm at NovaKnowsBeauty 💜
Hermoso trabajo!!!!
I should try this 😍😍😍
Gorgeous hun
Is acrygel, polygel?
Amooooo seu trabalho.❤❤❤❤❤
Love this shape.
Could you please do an update of your broken nail? How has it been growing out under the clear acrylic?
I live you work
Never had the first comment before! Gorgeous!

@@calichef1962 yeah, it showed over 1k watched and 200+ likes but 0 comments and I was wondering but thought-yay! Lol
Beautiful nail! Would love to see an edge nail with acrygel.
American here. I never realized we do say perpendicular so much. Wow 😂😂
Really? I'm in ohio and I rarely hear the word perpendicular lol
I'm in NJ, Americans do say it A lot. I dont myself.
I'm addicted to watching Kirsty, and her talent
Is Acrygel the same as polygel? It looks the same but I’ve never heard of Acrygel.
Kendall W acrygel is just Naio’s brand of poly gel.
Pretty please do a pipe and edge with polygel 😍😍😍😍
Love these

Would love to see this shape in a shorter length and also can this shape be achieved with tips?
Perpendicular is a geometry term, and it means 'at a 90* angle'. I think perhaps you mean parallel, as in universes? :-D
Marina Dobbie 🤣
😂 Ik I was thinking that
That is a lethal weapon
OMG! Love this. Also LOVE those little scissors you were using. What brand are they, type/name of scissor and where I can get them? Pleeeaaassee and thank you 😘
So basically, russian almond is edge without a ridge?
That's so cool
Is there a video on Kristy’s smoky marble hand??
Excuse my ignorance, what's the difference between Russian nails and ordinary ones. Love your videos even if I'll never be able to do anything like them x
Can you use an efile on the acrygel or is it too strong to shape the nail
You can, maybe lower the speed and really the only bit you'll need is a sanding band, that is actually how soft it is, maybe another bit for the cuticle area though or just a regular file, with hybrid acrylic gels they are easy to sculpt so too much filing isn't necessary usually unless you're doing like a design maybe a reverse french with or without a extended nail bed, color blocking etc. where you need excess product to make the look.
