Acrygel Overlay using Stiletto Tips - Full Look!

- Hiya,
Today we’re doing a set of stiletto nails in Acrygel.
I’ve already prepped the nails and sized my tips so I’m going to start with applying the tips, blend it in with a file and then dehydrate and apply a base coat in place of the acid based primer.
I’m then going to squeeze the acrygel out of the tube in the vague shape of a nail and apply to the nail. Start shaping it at the cuticle with a brush and Gel Residue Wipe Off Solution and then work down the nail towards the tip. Cure that nail and pinch whilst it’s cooling. Do the nails one at a time, going from one hand to the other.
File the nails with 80 grit file to remove the bulk and then a 240 grit file to smooth and finish shaping the nail. I’m going to finish with top coat and cuticle oil but you can add a gel polish design if you want.
I hope you enjoyed this video, don’t forget to like and subscribe.
Love Kirsty
XOXO

"if I do my own nails, I always do my dominant hand first or I walk around with just one hand done"
*glances down at left hand with Acrygel stilleto nails fully done (I used Easy Breezy. So pretty!), and my right hand with just the thumb*
Quiet you. I feel like this video might be e
watching me and judging me 👀 doing my right hand is hard ok?! I will get round to it... I did the thumb. That's a start!
Lol!!!! Me too !!!
I love that no matter what health issues your client has, you make sure they’re comfortable, assured that they too can have beautiful nails and never make one of them feel any different than a person with no health issues! I have eczema so I know how my hands sometimes look and how rough they can feel and even I find they feel so gross because they’re so dry. As an aspiring nail tech it’s nice to watch how at ease you are and how not grossed out you are! xx
I do love how you explain things because you know. You're not just someone that does nails, you know nails ❤️ ah maze ING xxx
Your aesthetic is amazing, I adore you Kirsty.
Love it when i see naio video pop up ... ❤ love kirsty and adam and love naio products. 😊
I can watch you work all day
Really good that you bring up different kinds of clients! I wouldn't get out of bed if I can't make myself look pretty. Starting out watching Naio Nails channel; I was really depressed and very scarred from wanting nails; but being bullied out of it so many times; because of an envious Mom and harrassing family way back. I painted them but never wore them as I wrote earlier! I'm typing this comment with long (yes!) pastelly pink nails and I feel SO good! Nails are health! :)
I always had very clammy hands (also linked to thyroid) up until I worked with ceramics for a year. Having my hands on clay and in slip so much helped calm down the clammy. It has been many years since I've done ceramics and my hands did become clammy again, but it took a few years to happen. So a pottery hobby could help with that!
You should make a glitter mix color called Tempting Fay.
Thanks K & A 😻 Have a great weekend all 💞
Great tutorial re: my question about Hyperhydrosis! 2 clients with it...one is new and was afraid to attempt nail enhancements as she had been humiliated by other techs AND charged extra for the "baby powder" the tech used on her due to the profuse sweat! I double dehydrate and take almost double time doing client with issue...Lady K, YOU Rock!
I love the new hair cut Kirsty!!!
Krisie u look like a fairy. Great job
I like when Kirsty dives into science
Lovely basic set. My very first naio acrylic system has arrived today its fantastic
Thank you for sharing all of your tips and tricks
I think it's really great that you're teaching people to make sure that a client with clammy hands can still get awesome nails! Rather than fearing that situation people can feel confident they know what to do. Plus as someone with clammy hands who does their own nails, I now know why my tips like to pop up 2 seconds after I glue them. It was driving me nuts trying to work out what I was doing wrong. What tips were you using?
Love love a nude stiletto nail! So classy and sophisticated. Beautiful work pretty lady!
I swear you're reading my mind. I've been looking for a video showing how to build an apex with acry-gel and tips. Thank you! 🖤💅
Great content as always, Kirsty 🤗😘
Tempting Fate what a gorgeous colour!!
Wow you are the best nail artist I have ever seen🤗
You are talented and creative when it come to nails that I see and so knowledgeable thank you for sharing
I love your videos.....you are so awesome
So I’ve heard that a good trick for combating hyperhydrosis like this is to put dehydrator or acetone, 3 coats on the nails AND the surrounding skin. It helps keep the skin dry so the issues are a bit less. And then as you work, if you feel the moisture coming back up, just apply more.
I’ve not had a client yet that has this issue, but I’d love to test it myself. This tip came from the channel Nailcou and she says it works real well.
Hope that is helpful for someone 😊
These nails are peng!!!! Would love a set!!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thyroid disease is a B. Those nails are gorgeous! I’m pretty basic and just love the color and shape so much!😂
With underactive thyroid, I can take a daily pill and have a normal life, with regular lab tests. This is frequently misdiagnosed as “depression”, though.
I love you so much can you do a tutorial on how to do gel nails
You make it look so easy Kirsty. Just beautiful !!!! I wish I could get there faster, but I just started teaching myself. (Very frustrating). 😫
Absolutely gorgeous!
You are the best
Kirsten, that Aquagel looks stunningly gorgeous.. I have the same thyroid condition and I have the same problem.. Thank you for showing me how to do it. Love you, kisses from NYC.. muahzz
Saludos hermosa te mando muchos abrazos desde Ecuador 🇪🇨. Gracias por tus videos nos enseñas muchísimo.
Beautiful as always. Love learning from you
Question: How long would this exact set take you to do, start to end. Beautiful job.
Did you get a new camera? Video looks amazing!
I need this color omg 🥰🥰
Beautiful work as always!
Just beautiful ❤
Gorgeous!!!
Loved this xxx
Beautiful!!!😍😍😍
Amazing!!!
Beautiful nails 💕
What tips are you using here Kirsty? These are so beautiful
Good morning👍🏿🙏🏿😚💖💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿
bravo magnifique gros bisous Martine 👍👍👍👏👏👏💅💅💅👄😙❤
Another beautiful set Kirsty💞I do have a question; for this lady, would Yu dehydrate the nails with 2 coats or just the one and would it be beneficial to use 2 coats of the base?
I have a underactive thyroid and I have a job and a half doing my nails! My skin is so dry that things don't stick, tips pop off, I have a few fanned nails and a couple of wonky fingers lol! 😔 Xx
Charlotte Cundall ; I totally understand your problem. While I don't have any thyroid issues, I wash my hands well over 30 times per day because I am a theatre nurse. My cuticles are quite dry and the times I have had enhancements, I have always had issues with lifting, usually at the sides. I also have side walls that flare out and uneven nail beds from 19yrs of nail biting. It sucks!
Moisturizer every time you wash your hands, helps, but it’s hard on them to work anywhere in healthcare, especially in the O.R.!
Omg yes I was diagnosed with Hypothyroid and completely explains my extremely dry skin, and my tips and any nail problems pop off. Even everyday nail polish peels off easy. It’s a major struggle.
Perfect!👏👍❤🤩🤩😊
Hi, what electric file do you use? Been meaning to ask for a while xx
Morning!! I love ur top!
Amazing video as always! Quick question about oily nails is it a good option to Dehydrate before applying tips to remove that oil? Xxx
Yes, you definitely could! I do with acetone and then isopropyl alcohol.
Great set!! My question is, if you had put a gel colour over top that and then later you wanted to take it off, if you used the soak off method would it soak into the acrygel too or just the gel colour? 🤔
Could you use a small fan to help dry the nails as you go? Beautiful set.
They look lovely and that Acrygel colour is beautiful...quick question Kirsty the marble on your thumb was that done with Acrygel as well...thankyou for sharing Kirsty and Adam 💜💅💜
First of all, i love you’re videos and as a not professional nailartist I learned so much!
You are using acryl gel, but can you tell me wat the difference is between acryl gel and poly gel?
Now I’m working with poly gel on myself and i want to know what te difference is!
Thank you 🙏🏻
I'm same would love to know difference as well :)
I think they're the same thing. One is a brand name and the other is just an overall term.
I have hyperhidrosis (sweaty hands) I have lots of luck with the mia secret nail forms. Super sticky, never had to replace one due to sweaty hands anyway.😂
i love your videos ❤️❤️ they are by far my favorite nail videos but i am from the US so i can’t get the products. is there any American nail techs/ videos that you recommend?
Gorgeous..❤️
I really want to see your set up and all that
*Bellísimas 🤩*
Hi Kirsty :)
As a nail tech you work with acetone and if it gets under your nail, it'll melt the tip. How can you avoid that? Do you just top coat it?
What tips were used? X
Kirsty, did you have your tattoo sleeve recently re-inked? It looks really good.
😍😍 Just plain beautiful!
Please do a video on handling bitten nails
Nice💗
Where did you buy those tips?
Hi what colour acrygel would be closest to this please?. Xx
f*cking amazing!! this is why you are my favorite youtuber!! lovee
Are those tips extreme c curved or regular c curved? I absolutely must know please let me know. I think I ordered wrong.
I use acrygel with forms, is that wrong? Im not confident enough using acrylic (knowing it is stronger)
Love them 😍
what do you do with diabetics nails mine. curve down on the edge realy bad every time i have them done they lift from the free edge
Can you do incapacitated nails with acrygel
Hi Kirsty can you do acryl without tips ombre neon Colorado 1 time for me video i want to learn how you that 😊
Eres la mejor
💖💖💖💖💖💖
Loveee this colour 😍 does anyone know how I'd add glitter to acrygel nails 🤔 xx
Use a pallet like a tile and add what ur gonna use of acrygel and sprinkle ur glitter mix to cover the top and then the most important is then to fold it into itself with a gel spatula
You can add it by gently patting it on with a soft makeup brush before you cure it. So do your sculpt then just b4 you cure pick a glitter you want get your brush dip it in to the glitter the gently pat on the nail and keep going from glitter to nail till you get what look you want. Or as this person said above.
You can do it several ways! You could take some of your acrygel and whatever glitters you want and mix them together well, before you even have them on your nails. Then once your ready to start putting the acrygel on your nails it’s already ready to go for you and they will be embedded that way. Or if you have enhancements on already you can take some basecoat or even topcoat and mix the glitter and put on your nails together and cure that and finish it with top coat.
It would drive me crazy only having one hand done
@naionails do you prefer acrygel over acrylic? What do you do more of?
I prefer acrygel, it's easier and you can take all the time you need. Perfect for beginners. But not dual forms you have to use tips or learn to sculpt acrygel.
Can somebody explain to me why i get so many bubbles in the acrygel application,I struggle with that a lot,i tried to press less preasure ,but i still get bubble or two. :/
Hi Adam, this is going to sound a really mad question! But does Kirsty like the song 'Babooshka' by Kate Bush?
If So, are there any nails that inspire her from that song? Told you it was a mad question lol
Sorry to add it to this video. ❤
Is the base coat always sticky after curing?
Mi piace di lei suoi design 🥰però sulla preparazione mascara le unghie mamma mia 🤦🏼♀️
I really want to order acrygel but I’ve never ordered anything from the UK. Anyone here in the US bought it know if you have to pay import tax?
💜
What tips did you use ?
🤩🤩
💕😍😘☺️👌👍 did you have a nice vacation no tan good job💕😍😘☺️👌👍
😍😍😍😍😍
Can you do a nail studyotour
I really want to see your set up and all that
Did your client ever have her thyroid or parathyroid checked? Sometimes that’s the cause of clammy or sweaty hands.
She did state she has an over active thyroid
💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Love your videos!
But something is seriously wrong with the subtitles on this video. I’m deaf on one ear, so the fact that the subtitles didn’t match what happened in the video, threw me off a bit.
Why you no ship to Australia whyyyy
We do, just choose Australia at the checkout. We don't ship Acetone though, for legal reasons.
So is Naio Nails her company?
Sarah Sebers no. Naio Nails is its own company.
Hiya,
