Wow, my wife and I just watched this and couldn’t believe the skills and attention to detail you have. The amount of work you have both done! Inspiring.
We have bought a place near Vale de Prazeres.
    Maybe have a beer sometime.

Gerd and Niluka what a fantastic transformation. You are both heroes creating such a fantastic homestead. Are there any baby piglets and chickens? Niluka please show us your veggie garden and I am sure you are responsible for the chickens. I would love to see it. Both of you are wonderful people. May the Lord bless you and your family and always keep you save. Lots of ❤ and I am selebrating 🎉 with you this fantastic milestone. Granny South Africa.

I think the kitchen transformation was incredible but, all the hard work from both of you, has this place looking very modern and comfortable, it was bit sad and neglected before, enjoy your beautiful farm.💐

There is a reason why Europeans conquered and developed India, America and South East Asia. There are smart and hard working. They want freedom and prosperity.
I am proud to report I’m one of those.
Born after WWII my parents exiled themselves to Western Africa because here were no jobs in France after WWII.
We came back in 1964 and renovated a 300 years old home. I was 14. My brother was 12. We installed roof, plumbing, electricity, tile floors, rebuilt the chimney, tiled the floors. We raised chickens and rabbits. We had a huge garden which produced all the vegetables we needed. On Sundays, my dad, sometimes, would go to the local bakery and get us croissants. We slept in one room , plus a kitchen and bathroom.
    We thought we were rich.
We were rich in our parents love. We had all we needed.
I now live on acreage in the US. All of my French family is dead. I’m old but I’m growing a garden and canning my food. I like watching your show. Keep going. That is THE ONLY WAY to go.
Those lessons were not lost. I’m the only surviving one.
So I respect what you are doing. It is right. This is the only way to be independent and be satisfied. Neither France nor the rest of Europe can provide this.
