The actors who played the grandparents on the show were truly iconic.
Casting is so crucial on a sitcom. They hit a home run on Raymond.
Loved that episode with the turkey & Patricia !the bird, dropping &sliding over the kitchen floor ! She is really a great comedian, her timing is right on the mark ! Lucille Ball would be proud of her !
Agreed. Same with Frasier
The middle surpassed Raymond
Didn’t they. Beloved.
@@jpcodnia9133 Good show but I don't think so lol
That scene where Robert applied for a job with the FBI when Marie went down to the FBI office with a plate of cookies and went from comedy to heavy drama, then back to comedy......she was brilliant!
Yes, one of the best episodes of the entire show, I always cry on that scene when she talks to the agent
It's like your mom going into your job interview with you & she is doing most the talking.😫
@@timelessmusicfamilymusic9175 totally…it was Epic.
Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle were the ultimate highlights of Everybody Loves Raymond. Sad we lost both of them now. VB
don't forget one of the boys who were the twin sons committed suicide . it's really hard to watch reruns of everybody loves Raymond when Marie ,frank, and Michael are gone ,
+cynthia zavala True.
Omg they made that show
it was geoffrey
I still wonder after ELR if there were ever plans for a spin-off show.
I love Ms. Heaton's comment about Doris, "She was an old show-biz broad." And Patricia is just a few years from earning the same compliment. It wasn't until watching her play an entirely different character (on "The Middle") that I recognized how superb her acting was on "Raymond." Patricia Heaton is one of the best comic actresses..... ever.
She is, absolutely. Total discipline professional but you can’t teach talent-especially comic timing and delivery. She had/has all the ingredients. But again, as others have noted, every single main cast member on Raymond was perfection. Patty Heaton had the added benefit of doing a second, completely different comedy series that also lasted 9 years. She’s a trouper, like Doris. They all are.
Shame she is a rabid zionist
She played Marie Barone perfectly. Applause.
No one could have played Marie barone like her 😓
Doris was Marie Barone
She was terrific.
The entire cast was terrific.
What a great show.
Doris and Peter were phenomenal actors. There are some extremely underrated performances by them in a few dramatic scenes of Raymond. World class, the both of them.
The way she talked about her was really touching, made me tear up a bit. Doris will be missed!
You get the feeling than NONE of those women on the sofa have ever watched one episode of Raymond.
😂😭Especially Tamar
It’s a superficial world alright
When I heard Doris Roberts passed away my immediate thought was "Oh my God Debra will not have to put up with Marie anymore". That's how convincing Doris Roberts was as Marie Barone.
Except Debra would also be really sad if Marie passes away, because they are family and still love each other after all
Marie (Doris) always stole every scene she was in. You couldn't top her, May she rest in peace, I still watch the reruns and she always makes me laugh,
It's an old show. You do know that, don't you?
Doris Roberts was the heart and soul of that show everyone loves Raymond
I think one of the funniest things Doris did on Everybody Loves Raymond is when she didn't get her way sometimes she would limp to the door like she was old and feeble. LOL
I liked when Debra’s parents came to visit and the Barone kids were greeting them and Marie makes the comment, “Oh how nice, they have the grandparents from Connecticut and the regular grandparents.” 😆
Great show, great time for sitcoms in general.
Patricia Heaton is a timeless beauty as well.
Making it political...on a video that’s remembering a brilliant actor. Suck it up and be respectful you political arsewipe
Such a funny lady....what a loss. Loved this show. Still watch re-runs.
Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle were phenomenal, really made their characters come alive. RIP to both
Everybody will always love DOris Roberts
My 88 yr. old Mom and I watch it all the time, it never gets old.
I still can't picture her as not being on earth. It's so weird. Hope to meet her in heaven tho!
Amen! ❤️🙏😇
No one can compare to everybody loves Raymond it will always be the best
Fact is that we do know about Ray and his real family and they seem such nice people.
Agreed. Even tho she was 90 it's still hard to believe for some reason
Such a great show. One of my fav sitcoms in recent years along with Friends. Every character was funny. Maria and Frank were my favourite characters on the show. So funny. They are missed.
I hope Patricia H. and Raymond really truly miss Doris and Peter as much as I do... We grew to Love truly them...on Raymond..they filled our every evenings forever on TV and DVDS'.. they were maginificient
OMGoodness I didn't know she passed away. Funny lady always made me laugh in Everybody loves Raymond. Thank you for the laughter:):) Rest in peace!!!
I love Raymond.... She was so funny and stuck in her ways as that character loved it!! May she rest in heaven
Heaven is fiction.
@@mchlbk It is real.
@@mchlbk people can believe in what they want, if you're just going to be negative then don't say anything at all.
mchlbk why did you it necessary to add that fiction? Nervous? Lol ❤️😇😇🙏🏼
@@mchlbk Heaven is a real place.
Beautiful tribute to a legend. She will always be Mrs. Miracle to me.
Doris Roberts and Patricia Heaton....MAGIC ❤️
Everybody Loves Raymond is my favorite Sitcom. Frank, Marie, Ray, Debra, Robert. What an ensemble. My favorite line, "Well, let's get this over with".
Ms. Heaton is one of the most beautiful women of our time.
her sarcasm in the show was hilarrrriousss and she was soooo goood at it!
Still drooling over Patricia my goodness
Rest in paradise to Doris and the actor who played Frank, they were amazing actors and everybody loves Raymond is still one of my faves but I feel like they overlook one of the twins boys' suicidal death. I mean imagine what the living twin must be going through and their family too.
I don’t think anyone “overlooked” the death of Sawyer Sweetin. It made headlines, understandably, and all of the principal cast members of the show offered heartfelt public expressions of grief. It was certainly a shock and a tragedy, but I’m not certain what else the adult actors of ‘Raymond’ were supposed to say about it.
It was stated from the inception of the series that the kids were *not* the focus of the show and that the producers in fact sought to have the kids on as infrequently as possible. The show was about the dynamic of the adults, with the kids occasionally appearing as background plot devices. The adult actors certainly loved the Sweetin kids, but all admitted that, in terms of filming, they actually spent very little interactive time with them. Taping a show was about getting scenes completed quickly and then going home, especially for young children. The kids didn’t hang around the set when they weren’t needed professionally. As cold as it may seem, they were co-workers, not pals, with the adult actors, each of whom were focused upon their own jobs and performances.
After the series was over, there was obviously no ongoing interaction at all. The main actors didn’t really “know” the kids or the Sweetin family very much beyond the limited framework of a shooting schedule during the series and had no cause to maintain close ties after the series ended. Adult actors are not exactly going to be involved in the personal lives of child co-workers or “keep in touch” while those children have basically left the industry and are growing into young adults elsewhere.
That said, all the surviving adult cast members of the show were shocked and saddened by the young man’s death, and said as much, but it’s not like they were personally connected as peers and friends, especially after many years. The tragic suicide was, by then, a private matter for the Sweetin family to come to terms with. That was kind of obvious. There wasn’t much else for the adult cast members to say or add publicly. They knew well enough to let the family grieve. That’s life, whether in Hollywood or Hoboken.
😣😓💔 I just started watching the show last year & she is just like my grandma ❤️
Marie and frank will forever be TVs BEST grandma and grandpa depictions in all of history. even to this day i have never seen anyone play these roles perfectly!!
How good she looks 🔥❤️
Patricia Heaton knows how to turn the heat ON
I watch the sitcom merely for Marie. Doris was the star of the show. Bless her and Peter Boyle. 💕
From National lampoons Christmas vacation to everybody loves Raymond she really was one my favourites on tv.
She was awesome!! 😢😢
Doris Roberts: a life well lived🥰
In entertainment, 80% of your problems are solved with the right casting, because not only do good actors deliver, but they bring more to the role than can be imagined.
Omgush I'm literally watching the middle right now.. I paused it for this
It makes me so sad that we lost Doris and Peter or better known as Frank and Marie they will always be my favorite tv married couple!! RIP!!:(
I still remember the very first time I saw Doris Roberts on the TV series. Perfect strangers as a kid. She was just as wonderful then as she was on Everybody loves Raymond. She was also a surprise when I saw her a few times on Barney Miller.
Patricia you are gorgeous as ever.😍😘
Everybody Loves Raymond I enjoyed that show and I'm going to miss Doris Roberts and I thought all of you were wonderful such good actors and actresses. There'll never be one like all of y'all when y'all got together it was just so funny and I watch it every night.
MARIEEE!!!SANDWICH!!!
Wow I really loved Doris :( RIP
MISS YOU DORIS ROBERTS & PETER DOYLE YOU TWO WERE EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!
I can "feel" the love & admiration....
The Dream Couple: Frank & Marie Barone. RIP Mr. Boyle & Mrs. Roberts, great unforgettable actors.
Doris played Brick's teacher on The middle. Great actors
LOVE YOUR ACTING PETER BOYLE & DORIS TOO
A ELR reunion won't be the same. No Peter, no Doris and no Sawyer (one of the twins that died).
She was a really good actress! 😊😍👍
My husband and I watched the show over and over..I l just lost my husband December First and I cannot watch the show right now.. Hard to lose those on the show and really hard to lose my husband of 38 years.
Linda Uribe -sorry for your loss. 38 years is a long time.
Sorry for the loss of your husband. Yes it can be hard to do things you once did with a person who is no longer with you.
May the happy memories you shared together bring some comfort. God bless you
Doris Roberts was fantastic along with the cast
Loved the little reunion at season 2 of The Middle!
Aw R.I.P Doris
my mum's favorite tv show
Everybody loves Raymond best
E L R. REALLY GREW ON ME. MY CONDOLENCES TO FAMILY. KEEP IT MOVING N STAY BLESS THANKYOU
She was perfect on the show.
Patricia looks good, for me she was always be Debra lol
She was a MILF
*Keena:* Yeah, you're REALLY intelligent making a comment like that, I must say!! *): (*
@@janishart5128 Yes , it's awful talking like that about Patricia , she's too special and unique , she's a PHILF , better ?
Great to hear such positive comments from one colleague about another. Marie of course was iconic. If Doris Roberts ever met Marie in real life, I wonder what she would have thought of her.
I loved Doris Roberts in Grandma's Boy. She was adorable in that movie.
Marie was her greatest role...Epic
doris "I don't want to be known as the whore of lynnebrook" frank "we can move from lynnebrook" that had me laughing all day.
RIP Doris
aww R.I.P
Lovely woman, they both were
Patricia heaton has been making a career out creating a fiction that she loved her colleagues on everybody loves raymond when in fact they hated her. The tabloids were always full of the feuds between her and doris roberts, and her and ray romano.
She WAS Marie...👍
I really like Patricia Heaton and she is. a wonderful actress
Too bad she's a religitard, though.
@@mchlbk
Feeling insecure, eh?
I remember when she was on Remington Steel.
Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle were so funny on everybody loves Raymond. God bless the both of you. RIP
God is fiction. Grow up.
Remember when she was Clark Griswold’s mother in law?
Yes. Doris Roberts was Marie!!!!
I 💕her!!!
You are never too old to learn
aww crap. nooooo rip doris. at least we still have betty
She was a stalwart American actress, just like Betty White, I remember first seeing her in Remington Steele so I knew she'd be superb as the domineering matriarch in raymond, the show revolves around all the other characters fear of her really, Raymond himself is almost secondary.
Sometimes I forget that 6 people on that show have passed. I still watch it and think it's one of the best sitcoms ever with the most amazing cast.
Doris Roberts played Marie Barone perfectly and Bea Arthur played Dorothy Zbornack perfectly! They were two "legendary" actresses!
Real classy woman Patricia is loved that show
Doris Roberts was also in a wonderfully touching movie, think it was a Hallmark one, where she played a rich older woman that lived alone in a big mansion. She attempted suicide but was saved by a young street woman. She ends up taking in a bunch of homeless people. Don't remember the name of the movie. It was great. Recorded it on my DVR, but the stupid thing died and there is no way to transfer from one hard drive to another with these, unfortunately!!😕
Barbara Rucci that was a great movie! I remember it well.
You can try buying it from the Hallmark network. I did that with the Love comes Softly series.
Patricia looks magnificent
Doris Roberts was an incredible actress on Everybody Loves Raymond but to be honoest, no way at all I'd have a Mother n law like that.
I do god love her
I have only seen a few pictures of her as a young woman. She was always a good-looking woman, but I was a bit surprised how pretty she was when young.
I’m surprised she didn’t live a little longer she she was a famous actress with a lot of money. RIP
She’s so pretty.
😭
"Old showbiz broad". - Patricia on Doris.
Rip doris roberts
I've always said it's the only show that made me laugh out loud - largely due to "Marie Barone"
This group of harpies have no business occupying the same stage with anyone from this funny and heartwarming sitcom or anything of it's standing at all. They share not one molecule of grace between them.
Goodbye Maire rest in peace
Patty Heaton is so hot!
lool i thought she was gonna talk about the middle so was like she was in the middle then i remembered they talking about everybody hates raymond
runrockwater
