In 2006, actress Doris Roberts appeared on Larry King Live to reflect on the tragic passing of her friend and co-star from "Everybody Loves Raymond," Peter Boyle.
+LebronTraveled24 Marie-"Frank Don't put those on I'm giving them to goodwill"Frank "you can't give these pants to good will, they have a hole in them! That's badwill!"Marie "YOU'RE NOT WEARING THOSE PANTS FRANK!!"
With "everything, everywhere -not good" happening in this crazy World, I feel we need more of " Everybody Loves Raymond". Hopefully, the re- runs will continue for many future years!
I agree, "when I want to destress", which is mostly each & everyday, with what is going on "everything, everywhere, all at once" Thanks for the endless laughs, Doris & Peter. Also, all of the Cast- still here on earth.
(Marie)I’m not just some trophy wife.” (Frank)“Trophy wife? What contest in hell did I win?” That line slays me every time lmao.. rip to two wonderful actors
Peter Boyle was absolutely hilarious as Frank Barone. He made the role so believable! And he could turn on the serious side just that quick. Never forget his role as Young Frankenstein! He could make you laugh without even talking, with his timing and facial expressions.
I remember a scene he did where he says to Marie "till death do us part Marie, after that your on your own".. I bet when she showed up in the afterlife he was like "holy crap" 😂 Joke aside. God bless them both. Both gave me and many others alot of laughs.
@Michelle you mean to tell us that everybody loves raymond wasn't a reality tv show? Wow. This is is news. (Sarcasm, in case you couldn't catch that as well as a joke)
That scene with Frank wiping Marie's tears and face cream from her face telling her he likes her better "without the crap on her face" was touching and funny. RIP Frank & Marie.
Frank n Marie were my favourite characters in Everybody loves Raymond. Both were unforgettable and just so wonderful together... I keep watching the serial over n over just for them☺ May they both meet in heaven n carry on their banter☺
Vijay Krishnan don't forget she played on All in the Family, then Edith Bunker, Jean Stapleton played her contentious sister on Raymond. Episode, "I wish I were Gus."
The arguments, the bickering, the banter...... the chemistry these two had on Ray are a big reason, for me at least, why I love the show. It's great to hear what she really thought of him as a person off the set. That show is so relatable - partly because I'm Italian and understand a lot of the references. At least we'll have ELR to appreciate the tallant they had and the backbone that they were in part of that cast. R.I.P. Dorris and Peter
Peter Boyle was ten years younger than her and died ten years early. I have never seen the Raymond Show on TV back in the 1990s or in early 2Ks when some of my family and friends watched it but after it was off air plus the actors started passing away, then only I realized that there were better things to choose during those tech freak years. I saw Peter in some negative role and in Taxi Driver with Deniro. He was so strong and phenomenal. RIP both of you.
Perhaps a little known fact (or not), Peter Boyle and John Lennon were very good friends. As a matter of fact, I believe Lennon stood up to Boyles wedding.
Frank (cleaning the face-mask from Marie's face): I like you better without the crap on your face. Marie: Oh, you should try and say something like that to me every day. Frank: I'll try. This is my absolute favourite scene in the whole show! So much row emotion and reality. RIP Doris & Peter!
I loved him in one of my fave movies Young Frankenstein. Doris had a guest starring role in Law & Order Criminal Intent...she was amazing as always. Rest in Peace Mr & Mrs Romano✨🌹
'While you were Sleeping' is one of my favorite movies from childhood and Peter Boyle played the dad in that movie. I also love Everybody Loves Raymond and am rewarching it right now!
He was in Taxi Driver, he played a cab driver. First and only time I heard him using swear words. Plus he had the same hair line in the 70's as he did in the 90's. RIP Peter Boyle. You were one of a kind.
They may be gone now but live on everyday in my life as I never miss Everybody Loves Raymond. I dvr episodes every day and own the complete dvd set. Never a show quite this good & a lot based on true family stories. Just makes me laugh!!! ❤️
I dont remember how I came across ELR but the day I did, I never stopped watching the episodes on YT and this show became my all time favorite. I just can’t tire of watching it and I love every one of the characters.
RIP,,,, i lost my husband to multiple myeloma ,, what a horrible horrific blood cancer,, , just horrible. When my husband was diagnosed at age 48 we were told it was manageable like high blood pressure or diabetes I say bullshit,,, this cancer is disgusting.
It's sad that most of the cast in ELR are gone... I grew up watching that show. I wish that Romano continued it for another season to make it a 10 year show.
In the last season of everyone loves Raymond they knew peter Boyle was very sick man that one reason they cut the episodes down because they felt he could died on the set
I miss them both too. Used to love watching Young Frankenstein when I first heard of it in college. I remember Dorris from barney miller, perfect strangers but her iconic role as Marie Barone. Those 2 could make you laugh and laugh and even cry from time to time.
They're both arguing in heaven now. RIP frank and Marie
I know huh! They will be so missed!!😢
***** That was good, I remember that!! Lol :)
+LebronTraveled24 Marie-"Frank Don't put those on I'm giving them to goodwill"Frank "you can't give these pants to good will, they have a hole in them! That's badwill!"Marie "YOU'RE NOT WEARING THOSE PANTS FRANK!!"
They're just dead
over the big fork and spoon :)
We miss both of you, Doris and Peter. Everybody Loves Raymond is still my go to when I want to destress.
Same bro same

Rip Peter Boyle 1935-2006 and Rip Doris Roberts 1925-2016
Born ten years apart, died ten years apart.

Pizza Bowler 10 years older then him, but lived 20 years more
We're very sorry to have lost you bouth ..you always made me smile. !
Also RIP JEFFRY BARONE ( Sawyer Sweeten) who tragically took his life 2 weeks before his 20th birthday…
Both Peter and Doris were so terrific in Everybody Loves Raymond. They were master comic actors on that show.
She lived a good 90 years. RIP to both
These couple will forever be in my memory in Everybody loves Raymond.
Angeli Rodriguez 💛
They were the best part of the show. Literally the glue. Just finished rewatching. And will definitely miss their acting. Such talent.
Isnt it lovely how close they were and Doris was visiting Peter and she really cared about him rip Doris and Peter
Peter Boyle was absolutely hilarious as Frank Barone. He made the role so believable! And he could turn on the serious side just that quick. Never forget his role as Young Frankenstein! He could make you laugh without even talking, with his timing and facial expressions.
He fought so hard to stay with us, but he had to leave. R.I.P. Frank Boyle and Doris Roberts.
Marie Barone: Frank do you love me?
Frank Barone: YOU STILL NEED REASSURANCE, AFTER 45 YEARS OF BONDAGE?
lol i forgot about this line , i use to love this show !
Everybody Loves Raymond is already a classic ❤
I remember a scene he did where he says to Marie "till death do us part Marie, after that your on your own"..
I bet when she showed up in the afterlife he was like "holy crap" 😂
Joke aside. God bless them both. Both gave me and many others alot of laughs.
That line kills me everytime 😂😂😂
They were not married. They were acting.
@@Michelle-pn9xt I know. I said I remembered the scene where he said "till death do us lart Marie, after that you're on your own" was a funny scene.

When they had cuddly moments, which was not often, she would call him Cheechie ❤ that was adorable.
That is an Italian nickname. I had an uncle with that nickname. It means someone who likes meat.

So sad they are both gone. Never realised she was so much older than Peter
Wow!! She must have really took care of her self.
Peter looked older than her. May the both of them Rest in peace.
Only 10 years
@NoPain NoGain No 10. She was 90 when she died, she'd have been 81 here.
Usually how it goes with men
Rest In Peace Peter Boyle. Doris Roberts died 10 years after him. Its really sad to lose these 2 great actors
So sad, but such lovely words spoken by her.
They were the shining stars on the show. May they both Rest In Peace
Boyle was BRILLIANT in everything he did.
Listening to lovely Doris' trembling voice and my heart is in my mouth...

Lovely how close they were they are now together again she was such an amazing support to him
I always will remember how the characters they both played as "Marie & Frank Barrone" made me smile. Gone, but not forgotten.
Frank n Marie were my favourite characters in Everybody loves Raymond.

Actually it was Sawyer Sweeten.

None of the adult cast members could’ve imagined that one of these little twin boys would die before Marie the grandmother... what a tragedy!
R.I.P Peter you were a legend you will be missed by EVERYONE 😭😭😭
she was fabulous in Remington Steele as well, RIP Doris Roberts!!!
Vijay Krishnan don't forget she played on All in the Family, then Edith Bunker, Jean Stapleton played her contentious sister on Raymond. Episode, "I wish I were Gus."
