Hi there! Thank you for your feedback. What we're showing here is the Nuwa Pen writing on a sticky note, and the digitization of that handwritten note. This will work in exactly the same way on any paper! That means you won't need special notebooks or paper for the digitization of your notes to work. I understand that you'd like to see the syncing happen from a normal piece of A4 paper, though, so I'll be sure to share this suggestion with the team! Hi Marc, I have a few questions. Will there be a possibility to connect the pen to a Laptop rather than a mobile phone? And if yes, will you provide an add-in for Microsoft office so that I can use it together with onenote/word? I am looking for a pen where I can take notes during team meetings (and yes, I am old style, i love pens over keyboards... Hey Alex! It's a great idea, one we'll consider for future development. At launch, Nuwa Pen can only be connected via your mobile phone. With the integrations, you'll easily be able to export your notes to OneNote. From the beginning, we will also be able to support handwriting to computer text :) Marc
What happens, when I'm in a meeting, making notes, stop it for a while, put the pen on the desk and then start again taking notes? This will surely lead to a new note created, won't it? Because there is no way it can track that I'm writing in the same piece of paper again, or?
Hi Sascha! Awesome question. The Nuwa Pen will save any notes you write with it. If you append any notes to previously written notes, the Nuwa Pen will recognize the context that it saved earlier on already, so your notes will also be added to those same notes in the digital space. Thank you for your question! Currently, you can keep writing with the Nuwa Pen when you make a mistake, and you can easily make the correction in the Nuwa App as soon as your notes have been digitized. I hope this helps! - Hilde

That means the notes and staves will not be digitalised, unless you write them yourself. Please also note that this version of the Nuwa Pen will be focused on digitizing handwriting, and not music. We haven't tested the digitization of written music, and cannot guarantee that it will be optimal in this first version of the Nuwa Pen. That could definitely be something for the future though, and I hope this helps for now! - Hilde

Yea this seemed more like a video to try and stop cancelations or something...I feel like if the pen was really ready for launch you'd have been pushing it's limits...like "check this out...we can do this and that and this blah blah blah"...instead we got..."look at this breakthrough with one word"...I was expecting a lot more seeing things all setup with sticky notes, a paper with text already on it and so on...disappointed, though I send my best for the launch.

come on guys. seems like there's a lot of smoke and mirrors going on when you need a bit more transparency. why not a much more robust demonstration? ONE WORD? at this point? ONE WORD?? i've been following your progress with great interest but this really does not inspire confidence. and is it incidental that you have that page full of text conveniently on your desk upon which you stuck a postit? oooooorrrrr.... does the pen currently NEED that text as tracking references? kind of like smart paper dots? it's not a good thing when you're relying on your customers to be dumb and gullible not to mention blind. you guys are, what, like three months from launch right? it's my opinion that the more open you are with where the hardware is now, the less blowback you're going to have when you launch to something that no one was expecting to be so hobbled. i'm still rooting for you guys. but this is really not confidence-making.

In this demo, I wanted to highlight the breakthrough we made in our technology. The core challenge we’ve been addressing is digitizing handwriting without any context, and we showcased it. The single word demo was chosen to clearly illustrate this specific achievement, and I understand that a more robust demo with more text would be necessary to build confidence. Regarding the sticky note, I use them a lot, and there’s no other reason to have used a sticky note (with the page on our handwriting experiment in the back) than to make a note to myself and show a real use case. Your point about transparency and demonstrating broader functionality is well taken. Yes, we’re a few months away from launch, and as we get closer, we plan to share more comprehensive demos that better reflect the capabilities of Nuwa Pen. Imagine a normal ball point pen that writes on paper. Now imagine that same pen creating a digital copy of what you just wrote. Now go to your phone, open the Nuwa app. You can search through all your notes, and share them easily with your colleagues and friends. :) That's Nuwa Pen! Does this help? Marc

Can I write music on a staff paper? Does it digitise the staff paper as well so i have music notes and staves digitalised?
