Ibushi destroys the land in order to secure huge swaths of territory for his future offspring. The Rampage is simply the monsters fleeing from the destruction. From the Shrine Ruins relics, it seems that the land was originally inhabited by Elder Dragons in general. However, the mating ritual of Ibushi and Narwa occurred close by, scaring off the Elder Dragons and leaving the land vacant. Humans moved in and built a thriving civilization. Over time, humans began to take the land for granted and let their guard down, which coincided with the appearance of another Ibushi and Narwa, the latter of whom made her nest nearby. This caused Ibushi to target the civilization not because it was the wrath of a god, but because the humans were simply in the way. Elder Dragons were once worshipped as gods of nature, so it isn't surprising that the people of the time mistook it for divine retribution. Ibushi's stretchy hide is thickest on it's forelimbs and tail due to how much air and gases it must store up for attacks and travel along with it's bottom jaw. The rest of it's body consists of hard ridges and spikes, which also allow it to insulate itself from Narwa's lightning. It is implied that Ibushi are fated to perish after mating with the Narwa they find. This is due to Narwa devouring Ibushi's insides in order to fertilize her eggs, which also absorbs his bioenergy and awakens her latent wind manipulating organs to better protect her gestating offspring. This is likely reflecting how some species of real-life animals have the female devouring the male after mating. The strongest clue is how much bigger the female is compared to the male, which is also the case with Ibushi and Narwa.
This is a great read, though there are conflicting info compared to what's been officially released from Capcom's own book regarding the events. The situation regarding Shrine Ruins is all but confirmed to be Ibushi and Narwa's home long before any human lived in it. The series considers their species under the Suborder 神龍亜目 (Deity Dragons), hence the utilization of the term during the story of Shrine Ruins. The original mating ritual for Ibushis and Narwas occurred in a different locale (which is why they departed), it actually occurred elsewhere (which I'll be covering soon in the next video!) which had an effect on the ecosystem of a different locale. Ibushi's hide is said to be stretchy yet rigid all around, not just certain parts, though I do agree it maintains the rigidity on certain parts of its body on most cases and keeps their stretchiness where the Windsacs are located (hence the statement of being able to alter their properties to fit its own needs). The Windsacs are, from a functional sense, literal balloons that store insurmountable amounts of air, hence why they maintain that level of stretchiness This last part is pretty much spot on in every aspect. It's confirmed that the eight orbs found on the abdomen of Narwa in her Allmother Variant stage are indeed her eggs which would have made the next generation of Serpent Dragons. I'll speak more about Narwa in the finale video but you're exactly right on this last piece!

"While the monster has never been witnessed before, it's thought to be some kind of elder dragon. After its sudden appearance, the Guild begins a full investigation. Soon they find an answer and conclude that this monster is not only connected to the Rampage but is also the cause of it. This monster is known as Wind Serpent Ibushi, the Wind God Dragon." "An elder dragon that soars through the sky as if it was swimming through the sea, Wind Serpent Ibushi can be identified by its blue shell and massive horns." "This male elder dragon's exact habitat range is unknown, but he has been reported in various locales during Rampages. He has long been a part of the region's history, but no one knew of his existence until recently." "In the past, there was a civilization living within the Shrine Ruins. The Shrine Ruins was previously inhabited by gods (monsters), but a divine lightning (Thunder Serpent Narwa) scared away the gods, making it the perfect place for humans to inhabit." "A few decades later, wicked gales (Wind Serpent Ibushi) swept across the Shrine Ruins, bringing gods back to the land that the humans now claimed. The gods scared away the humans, and nature once again nurtured the tainted land." "This legend has been passed down in Kamura Village for many years, and sadly Kamura Village, as well as other villages, got to experience this legend firsthand for hundreds of years." "Divine lightning and wicked gales swept across the land, bringing numerous gods and a hellfire beast (Magnamalo) to Kamura Village." "Wind Serpent Ibushi is an unusual elder dragon with some bizarre adaptations. From a distance, he looks like a "flying seahorse" (Conceptually, that's what they were going with)." "His body is covered in thick, highly elastic skin that is rigid enough to repel blades yet flexible like rubber. Ibushi needs this kind of skin due to the several gills found on his body that he uses for flight." "Ibushi's gills are called "windsacs", and he uses them to produce and store a special gas that's lighter than air. He'll expel this gas (Air/Wind) from his windsacs to create sparkling updrafts that he'll use to help him float or fly in the sky." " The windsacs inflate when they're filled with gas but deflate when they expel it. While "swimming" through the sky, Ibushi looks like a leviathan or some kind of god. Reference: mythopedia.com/topics/fujin " "Ibushi spends much of his time in the air, likely the reason why he wasn't discovered until recently. Like other elder dragons, Ibushi is rarely ever seen, but that changes during the mating season (Which seems to occur every fifty years or so)." "Not long after he was discovered, his female counterpart, Thunder Serpent Narwa, was found as well. During the mating season, Narwa will choose a place to nest, and Ibushi will search for her nesting spot in order to mate with her." "He will fly through numerous locales in search of her, tearing apart the land as he searches for his "queen" (Obviously, there is more than one Ibushi and Narwa since they are a species. If our Ibushi looked hard enough, he probably would've eventually found another Narwa)." "Once Ibushi finds Narwa, a storm of wind and lightning will occur as they converge (That's their beautiful yet very destructive mating ritual). Once they mate, Ibushi will fly around and guard the nest, much like Rathalos, while Narwa hides in her nest and prepares to lay eggs." "Wind Serpent Ibushi and Thunder Serpent Narwa are the source of the Rampage, particularly Ibushi. As Ibushi goes to various locales in search of Narwa, he'll rip apart the land with his powerful gales, which can best be described as a hurricane (Breath of Ire)." "Ibushi's storm, as well as his echoing roar, will cause numerous monsters to flee into other areas, including villages. In reality, the Rampage is a mass migration caused by Ibushi as he looks for Narwa and the Apex Monsters are some of Ibushi's victims. While most monsters were able to escape Ibushi's storm, some of them weren't so lucky. Some of the monsters caught in Ibushi's storm managed to survive, growing stronger and becoming more aggressive after the experience. Apex Monsters now greatly fear storms and will tear through just about anything to avoid them, and other monsters can sense their raw rage and desperation." "As mentioned previously, Ibushi is capable of expelling that special gas from his windsacs. He'll often fire that gas (Draconic Wind) from his forelimbs and tail. The gas also violently circulates throughout his body, meaning he can breathe the draconic wind from his mouth as well. When the gas is compressed, Ibushi can even breathe a draconic wind beam." "Ibushi's gales are extremely powerful, capable of destroying much of the equipment in the Red Stronghold in an instant. The gales are shot out of his windsacs with tremendous force comparable to a cannon, making them quite deadly to get hit by." "When enraged, Ibushi's eyes and windsacs will glow red, indicating his immense rage. When faced with a threat, or gate, that he can't destroy, he'll use the gas around him to lift up several boulders. He'll use the currents generated by the gas to fire the boulders at targets." "With the help of his windsacs, Ibushi can freely fly wherever want he wants and attack however he wants. However, he needs to make sure each one of his windsacs is filled with enough gas. The windsacs are very delicate organs that can easily be damaged. If too many of them are deflated in battle, Ibushi will helplessly fall to the ground, leaving him open to attacks." "Noticeably, Ibushi has a second pair of jaws inside of his mouth. While his diet is unknown, he can potentially use those jaws to hold onto prey items. His skin is oddly hard, elastic, and lightweight." "Countless rock-hard spikes can be found on his skin, which he uses for protection against airborne threats. One swipe from his pointy claw disfigured the land with a gust-like blow. The Wind Serpent Orb shimmers with the rage of a typhoon, allowing its user to command storms." "A destructive deluge, heaven-sent, offering no possibility of salvation." "An atrocious maelstrom doling out a bitter end to all it swallows." "Manifest the horrors of the universe to make others quake with fear." "The embodiment of death for all living things. Its presence brings naught but despair." How does Ibushi acquire/produce dragon element? Nakarkos and Deviljho get dragon element from their food. Xeno and Safi steal it from the ecosystem. Valstrax just produces it in small amounts. How does ibushi produce Dragon element?
TBH who knows, It could be like Deviljho and gets it from the stuff it eats, or maybe like Valstrax and is able to produce it, Or maybe it’s just able to do it just because, idk. Dragon element is a weird thing to say the least, How it is utilized and created by certain monsters is often a mystery. To me I think Ibushi has it because Capcom just thought it would be cool and just slapped it on him with no explanation, or maybe there is a real reason why it has it and capcom intentionally left it a secret. Oh well, either way Ibushi looks good when using dragon element attacks.
Ibushi also produces it in small amounts, he then combines those small concentrated amounts with his powerful mastery control of the wind to create volatile hurricanes and gales. A small amount of dragon plus a large amount of air seems to equal powerful results. Similar to how Valstrax creates small amounts of dragon but produces so much air flow that it is effective, Ibushi just does it on a much larger scale
Tbf Xeno and Safi are literally *made* out of Dragon energy. They can steal it from the environment if they want to but I'm pretty sure if they lived a normal predator life by just eating other animals they'd naturally produce more and more dragon energy
@@thmistrapillay1811 The "Jiiva's is made of pure energy", is more of the guilds working theory. Hopefully we get more info about this in the MHWI art book, or some distant MH game or book. Otherwise, I can't really see any monster, being made of pure energy, especially in monster hunter.
@@jonah_the_Nakarkos_admirer well I didn't mean completely 100% made of energy, obviously Xeno and Safi have muscles, bones, skin etc. But kinda like how humans are made of 70%+ water, they are made of 70%+(maybe more) pure bio/pure dragon energy. Some had speculated that Magnamalo was the cause of the Rampage, but there was no indication that it could make so many monsters flee at once. Something else was hiding behind the Rampage..."
"Sometime later, fifty years after the last calamity that befell Kamura, there are signs of another Rampage approaching. The people of Kamura, including a hunter known as the "Fierce," prepare to face this mysterious phenomon once again."
"Not long after the Rampage begins, the Fierce takes down Magnamalo and helps the village overcome numerous monster hordes, including ones led by Apex Monsters. With the help of the Fierce, Kamura Village is able to push back the rampaging monsters."
""How long will the Rampage last?"
"Why does it keep occurring every few decades?"
"Is this just nature at work or something supernatural?""
"One day, not long after a monster horde led by an Apex Arzuros is repelled, a mysterious blue monster suddenly appears in the sky and resonates with Hinoa.
Where is my queen? Where is my queen?""
"While the monster has never been witnessed before, it's thought to be some kind of elder dragon. After its sudden appearance, the Guild begins a full investigation. Soon they find an answer and conclude that this monster is not only connected to the Rampage but is also the cause of it. This monster is known as Wind Serpent Ibushi, the Wind God Dragon."
"An elder dragon that soars through the sky as if it was swimming through the sea, Wind Serpent Ibushi can be identified by its blue shell and massive horns."
"This male elder dragon's exact habitat range is unknown, but he has been reported in various locales during Rampages. He has long been a part of the region's history, but no one knew of his existence until recently."
"In the past, there was a civilization living within the Shrine Ruins. The Shrine Ruins was previously inhabited by gods (monsters), but a divine lightning (Thunder Serpent Narwa) scared away the gods, making it the perfect place for humans to inhabit."
"A few decades later, wicked gales (Wind Serpent Ibushi) swept across the Shrine Ruins, bringing gods back to the land that the humans now claimed. The gods scared away the humans, and nature once again nurtured the tainted land."
"This legend has been passed down in Kamura Village for many years, and sadly Kamura Village, as well as other villages, got to experience this legend firsthand for hundreds of years."
"Divine lightning and wicked gales swept across the land, bringing numerous gods and a hellfire beast (Magnamalo) to Kamura Village."
"Wind Serpent Ibushi is an unusual elder dragon with some bizarre adaptations. From a distance, he looks like a "flying seahorse" (Conceptually, that's what they were going with)."
"His body is covered in thick, highly elastic skin that is rigid enough to repel blades yet flexible like rubber. Ibushi needs this kind of skin due to the several gills found on his body that he uses for flight."
"Ibushi's gills are called "windsacs", and he uses them to produce and store a special gas that's lighter than air. He'll expel this gas (Air/Wind) from his windsacs to create sparkling updrafts that he'll use to help him float or fly in the sky."
" The windsacs inflate when they're filled with gas but deflate when they expel it. While "swimming" through the sky, Ibushi looks like a leviathan or some kind of god.
Reference: mythopedia.com/topics/fujin "
"Ibushi spends much of his time in the air, likely the reason why he wasn't discovered until recently. Like other elder dragons, Ibushi is rarely ever seen, but that changes during the mating season (Which seems to occur every fifty years or so)."
"Not long after he was discovered, his female counterpart, Thunder Serpent Narwa, was found as well. During the mating season, Narwa will choose a place to nest, and Ibushi will search for her nesting spot in order to mate with her."
"He will fly through numerous locales in search of her, tearing apart the land as he searches for his "queen" (Obviously, there is more than one Ibushi and Narwa since they are a species. If our Ibushi looked hard enough, he probably would've eventually found another Narwa)."
"Once Ibushi finds Narwa, a storm of wind and lightning will occur as they converge (That's their beautiful yet very destructive mating ritual). Once they mate, Ibushi will fly around and guard the nest, much like Rathalos, while Narwa hides in her nest and prepares to lay eggs."
"Wind Serpent Ibushi and Thunder Serpent Narwa are the source of the Rampage, particularly Ibushi. As Ibushi goes to various locales in search of Narwa, he'll rip apart the land with his powerful gales, which can best be described as a hurricane (Breath of Ire)."
"Ibushi's storm, as well as his echoing roar, will cause numerous monsters to flee into other areas, including villages. Apex Monsters now greatly fear storms and will tear through just about anything to avoid them, and other monsters can sense their raw rage and desperation."
"As mentioned previously, Ibushi is capable of expelling that special gas from his windsacs. He'll often fire that gas (Draconic Wind) from his forelimbs and tail. The gas also violently circulates throughout his body, meaning he can breathe the draconic wind from his mouth as well. When the gas is compressed, Ibushi can even breathe a draconic wind beam."
"Ibushi's gales are extremely powerful, capable of destroying much of the equipment in the Red Stronghold in an instant. The gales are shot out of his windsacs with tremendous force comparable to a cannon, making them quite deadly to get hit by."
"When enraged, Ibushi's eyes and windsacs will glow red, indicating his immense rage. When faced with a threat, or gate, that he can't destroy, he'll use the gas around him to lift up several boulders. He'll use the currents generated by the gas to fire the boulders at targets."
"With the help of his windsacs, Ibushi can freely fly wherever want he wants and attack however he wants. However, he needs to make sure each one of his windsacs is filled with enough gas. The windsacs are very delicate organs that can easily be damaged. If too many of them are deflated in battle, Ibushi will helplessly fall to the ground, leaving him open to attacks."
"Noticeably, Ibushi has a second pair of jaws inside of his mouth. While his diet is unknown, he can potentially use those jaws to hold onto prey items. His skin is oddly hard, elastic, and lightweight."
"Countless rock-hard spikes can be found on his skin, which he uses for protection against airborne threats. One swipe from his pointy claw disfigured the land with a gust-like blow. The Wind Serpent Orb shimmers with the rage of a typhoon, allowing its user to command storms."
"A destructive deluge, heaven-sent, offering no possibility of salvation."
"An atrocious maelstrom doling out a bitter end to all it swallows."
"Manifest the horrors of the universe to make others quake with fear."
"The embodiment of death for all living things. Its presence brings naught but despair."
"The demise of the world ventures closer, an inescapable end."

The Simp King Himself.
He really went out there for his QUEEN
@@ChronoPinoyX jokes aside, this really shows how dedicated Ibushi was to destroy us hunters for his kids future. It's really admirable yet so terrifying how far he would go to kill us.
I wouldn't say _simp_ ,at least how I understand it, simp chase after women with no reception from them..... Ibushi ending up smashing😅 not too mention she called him her King as well.
Either way, good joke nonetheless
Take a shot for everytime he says we’re gonna be taking a look at 5 facts about the wind serpent
*blackout drunk*
Two wind elder dragon in rise wind serpent ibushi and kushala daora
If only we could have Amatsu now, then the Trio of Wind would be complete!
Kushala :I am the master of the wind
Ibushi:Hold my beer
Imatsugachi: *Amateurs*
Not sure, but in the explanation from shrine ruins, it said "gods" as in plural, so wasn't it potentially both of them that destroyed the place?
This particular video focuses on the individual as opposed to the pair so it's focused solely on Ibushi's activities. Hope that clears it!
Yea my favorite dragon getting the attention he deserves
It took a while but we got there!
Fujin, Brother of Raijin
Ibushi in the thumbnail be like: 👁️👄👁️
I honestly couldn't edit the thumbnail without laughing because of it. It's even funnier with the original image, it's like the Twins from The Shining twitter.com/MHKogath/status/1433486943480795138?s=20 (tweet by MHKogath)
@@ChronoPinoyXfront facing ibushi is real😳
we need a mission allfather ibushi !!!
I'd be all in for this!
Watching this video made me wonder why are we even playing as human/Hunters/huntresses to begin with all that what you said made me like ibushi even more and me me fell sad that I fought it
Not sure what went wrong with UA-cam not allowing me to comment, but this was the first video I watched for 2022 😂
Great to hear! Also I think UA-cam is just bugging out when you originally tried to comment since I didn't get any notifs on it. Seems it's all good now!
Narwa the allmother is a fusion of narwa and ibushi.
How long did it take you to figure out ibushi's drawing is upside-down
I just got this lmao
Will you be talking about his queen too?
I love monster hunter & it's monsters. Hope this monster-related game can get a reboot: ua-cam.com/video/9lnxnbjQHe4/v-deo.html
How does Ibushi acquire/produce dragon element?
@@thmistrapillay1811
The "Jiiva's is made of pure energy", is more of the guilds working theory.
Either way they have WAY more dragon/Bio energy than any other living creature on the planet
What if a new monster hunter game comes out and there’s no new elder dragon just an old returning elder dragon that’s up to no good again
It could be possible like white fatalis or crimson glow valtrasx with more attack move and more control over its dragon energy
@@mockingjay7030 I keep forgetting the difference between a deviant and a variant in this game.
@@Jesus-vu9fs same
I'd be all in if they can make such a game. It's great to have new monsters sure, but there's also hundreds of monsters between Mainline and Frontier so they can definitely make a specific title a la Generations style with just returning monsters!
@@ChronoPinoyX it would be lovely to see once again monsters that we only fought once in the series in an all new game with better resolution and designs.

I wish they ad risen ibushi i dont want risen narwa cus she hal all mother form i just wish risen ibushi
