I am a deeply religious person, infantry veteran of Vietnam. What you told that young man about how to pray-just talk to God respectfully from the heart-was perfect advice. You definitely did the right thing. May God bless you richly.

Goosebumps and tears when I heard him say that. On a whole other level. Spiritually this video was awesome. From the peace and trees at the battlefield to hopefully saving that man’s soul. Just wow.

Amazing work as always. My grandfather fought in Italy in the 88th division. He lost his best friend (Americo Bonosoro) after he stepped on a mine 12 March 44. He is buried at the Sicily-Rome American cemetery. My grandfather survived the war and passed in 1991.

Appreciate it! The 88th is a very unknown unit that deserves more attention!

Love the guide's First Special Service Force patch! My grandmother's neighbor Jess Latoz fought in those mountains with 3rd Reg. FSSF.

My Grandfather was in the US Army in Italy during WW2 in 1944.When I was a teenager he told me about being in Naples in a building that had collapsed. He also gave me some pictures of the building. Last year I traveled to Naples and visited the exact location. The building that collapsed had been replaced but the buildings on both sides were still the original buildings. It was an amazing experience to walk in my Grandfathers footsteps and an experience I will never forget

Absolutely, we hope this mini-series will help to honor the brave men and women who served in Italy. They shoudn't be forgotten. I can see there is an insignia of the 1st Armored Division on your profile picture
, did you have a relative that served in that unit ?

i had a aunt who was married to a man born from italy and it wasn't till after he died that we found out he was a italian soldier in italy during that time and around the time usa came marching in and won somehow he came across a dead soldier and put on his uniform and went about with his dog tags and it seems no one figure it out he wasn't a american soldier 🤷‍♀️and was able to board on a u.s. military plane and come to usa and got all the disability benefits 😮apparently back then not every person coming back was thoroughly check i always wondered as a kid how did this uncle speak such perfect italian and yet could speak perfect english as well and yet had no living relatives in new york who came to the wedding to say they knew who he was when my aunt married him🧐 he just slipped into american soil so easily, makes one wonder how many other foreigners back then was able to suit up in dead americans clothes and walk right into american soil in 1947😮
