- After our weekend in Languedoc-Roussillon, we drop our car off in Toulouse and try to find it’s most interesting landmarks. The only stop on our must-do while we were visiting, was to go to the WORLD’S BEST WINE BAR!

How much was the dinner at the wine bar....sounds expensive, looks great
It was a bit of a splurge but way less than other tastings we’ve experienced. I believe the food was $50/person and the 5 flights of wine was another $50/person. We did the “middle” class wines, there was a $25 flight and a $100 grand cru flight too. It was a cool experience!
@@TheNearAndAway BTW, I like your videos, we are going that way this year, I am toying between car rental, train pass or taking it as it comes a day at a time...any thoughts
It's so nice to hear you like our videos...that means a lot to us! We took things a day at a time as well. We didn't plan on renting a car and was just going to take the train throughout France...but we ended up renting a car in Toulouse and driving into Spain and Portugal (videos coming soon!). It ended up being a great decision...we absolutely loved the freedom of exploring the little towns on the coast. Ultimately we dropped the car off in Biarritz, France and took the train back to Paris (hard no on driving in Paris). Renting the car was super easy...no special license (went through Avis). Just gave them a US driver's license and a credit card and they gave us a car. I would do it again! We're in Mexico now...will probably rent a car at some point. You do not describe the Wine or Food. I. Would expect a Wine Tasting n Wine and Food pairing. This was just a glutinous food deal.. Really not French.
