3:00 You're like the only one on UA-cam who suggests what wattage to buy for a good scent throw. I've been searching for an answer to that for hours now. Glad I finally found a video that mentions it! I just purchased my very first electric (element) wax warmer today. 18 watts. Hope that works out for my scent needs. Thanks again for the info. 💜💜💜
You're not kidding.. no one talks about it.. I bought a wax warmer last year that had great reviews. I spent hundreds of dollars on melts and could never smell a single one from every reputable brand I tried. I just got another warmer and now I can finally smell all my melts.. it was just a crap warmer apparently. It seemed standard to a lot of what other people use but for reason I couldn't smell a thing with jt
@taylornation320 Yes it's really neevr mentioned. I've been a huge fan of happy wax brand for my melts and warmers. It is 25 watt bulb which is standard but makes me Service how warm the ceramic on the warmers gets whether 3/6/9 hours set ok the timer. I've also wondered if this is too hot and is the reason why I get such little throw suddenly compared to when I first started using the brand. It's made to work with their melts but they used to be so strong in early days where I could use 2-3 melts max for a room and could use it for full 2 days. Now I can add up to 5 melts (they are small shapes not a square lol) and even standing in front of the warmer I can barely smell any throw now even in a bedroom. I think they are cutting costs and just putting less fragrance in their melts compared to earlier days. Why I have been looking into gel wax melts which hold fragrance much longer as I've read among a new warmer! 😅
Oh my gosh I keep telling my mom that’s it’s ok to keep the warmer on when you leave the house but she doesn’t get itttt 😑😑😑 it is SO much safer than a candle!!
Ahahah I find that so funny!! Just tell her it is like a night light or a lamp!! Yes I love it when I leave the house and come in and it smells so amazing!!
it is safer but it’s still not safe, you have the chance of it having a short circuit and causing a fire. I never keep my wax melter on or a candle lit when I leave my house. I turn it off and unplug it from the outlet before I leave. I also unplug my extension charging cord from my wall every morning. saves some $ on the electric bill
I have to try that cotton candy cloud, I love getting wax from Walmart because it's close to my house and I don't have to order online and pay for shipping and all that, this was so information I will try the cotton ball method, oh and I went to bbw and picked up 7 merry cookie hand cream that was 75 percent off so you know Im happy lol I will be sharing with my sisters too
That one is amazing PMB!! Me too hehe I live close by to a walmart and it is great to just go by and grab something!! Yay omg so many hand creams!! i love merry cookie!!
Thank you sooo much for this video! Didn't know anything about wax melts but i feel like i now know enough to make a good purchase for my first! Love the passion girly ☺️
There is another method, aside from cotton ball. For anyone struggling to remove the cooled hardened wax, take a cupcake silicon mold, it will not burn or melt as the silicon is built to withstand oven temperatures, that burn much hotter than a wax warmer, mind you. Put the silicon mold on the warmer, put the cube or two in, turn it on, enjoy and when the time comes, turn it off, let cool and harden, then pop that bad boy out.
As it may be safer because there is no open flame, wax can still burn pets. Especially cats who love to jump up on tables and inspect. Just keep that in mind when finding a place to have your warmer or make sure to watch your pets around them when the wax is hot.
Bestieee !! Now that SAS is over I can binge all your wax videos because I’ve never tried them, this was so informative I’m gonna have fun shopping at Walmart today 💕
I got hooked on wax melts they are wonderful and after4 hours( my warmers are timed) it shuts off and ill reuse them at a later time much safer than candles I won't go out and leave them on
Hey girl!! You might like the freezer method for removing wax also! I like to change my wax out overnight while I'm sleeping (besides the warmer I have going in my bedroom)so an hour before bed turn the warmers off to let them cool, then I go through the house and remove all of the dishes flip them upside down and pop them into my freezer and the wax contracts overnight so when I take it out in the morning the dishes are empty and ready to go! ☺️💕 I also use silicone cupcake liners for more stubborn wax, like scoopables, fortunately Walmart wax is super easy to remove! 🙌
So I have tried the freezer method before but I only left it in for around 30 minutes and it didn't work for me :( Do I have to keep it in for longer? Does it just pop out? I want to try silicone cupcake liners so bad as well!! I have heard that some are too thick though! Please let me know ahaha I have so many questions!
@@SelfCareCatherine Yes! They definitely need a little bit more time in the freezer! I would guess like an hour or an hour and a half should do it! You should be able to push on an edge to pop it or even tap it upside down on a counter and it will come out! As far as the cupcake liners! I just bought a stack of the silicone ones from Walmart and they are amazing! You can even carefully move the hot wax out of the warmer because the liner isn't hot to touch, and put a new one in to start while the last one cools! Once it's cool enough, you can just peel it away and it's super satisfying! 😄 I believe they make flip ins, which are the same idea but specifically for wax! I haven't tried those yet so I can't speak to them!
@@twoquickwicks3025 the silicone cupcake cups work for scoops? How do I get it out, I just get a mush. It didn't freeze for me do I need to do it longer then 30 mins?
I'm a guy and just started buying Wax blocks on my lunch break at Walmart during the Holidays they have different melters. Just changed the bulbs out but they are not melting fast I might pick up some bigger bulbs tomorrow. I had a electric one but it's really slow. The one I have now has a glass plate.
I started watching some of your videos last night, now I have two warmers and some wax melts. I was into this in my dorm room days..not even sure why I stopped.
Could not have come at a better time! I literally just bought a wax warmer and was going to use it for the first time this weekend🥰 How many cubes do you use at a time?

This video is so helpful! And I totally agree with you, when candles start tunneling it annoys me to no end! 😱 I have a quick question by the way, I just bought a wax warmer from Walmart and I noticed that there is a tiny zip tie around the cable inside the melter. It like connects to the bit where the bulb screws in. I read the instructions and it didn't say anything about removing the zip tie, but I am a bit scared about warming the zip tie because I don't want to burn plastic lol. What would you suggest? Thanks once again for the awesome video by the way! 💕
I can see the advantage of a melt/warmer vs a candle as you don't have as much worry over keeping an open flame lit. However, at that point wouldn't it be better to just have an essential oil/fragrance mist? It lasts a really long time and has it's own timer.
