Thank you for the comment about sound quality. I always wondered if the sound came over in a decent fashion. Well, I am not so sure of "more of the band" because there are only Peter and Roger remaining. Great video of Entwhistle though, and it was obvious they paid tribute to the two guys who have passed. For me, whomever is filling those shoes amounts to little more than studio musicians, so the videos (all of them) focus on Pete and Roger.
Amazing Roger sounds almost just as good as when the original recording was made for Quadrophenia back in November of 1973. Just sounds like their mixer wasn't the best for this concert. Too much of an echo with Roger's singing. Ringo's son on drums does an excellent job mimicing the late Keith Moon. Stuart, lucky you had front row seats filming The Who in concert.
living testimony to the wisdom of the words of "my generation" i think that they should have permanently hung up their hats the day that Kieth Moon died..
The best Who album. Hands down.
I've felt that way too, for a long time, and I love them all!
Dr Jimmy Drowned
Definitely my favourite song from Quadrophenia-Sheer brilliance!!
"Dr. Jimmy," one of the best songs ever, PLUS "The Rock" too!
Good job Roger. Even in 1973 live shows, there is straining and horseness. Not an easy song to sing.
Simon Townshend gets to play his brother Pete's lead guitar parts, and does it great!
