Great in theory, if if wasn’t made of the cheapest flimsy plastic. One use and it’s nearly ready to be binned. Save your money & the planet & don’t buy!
@Norman First of all, your Information is outdated. North America makes up 4.5% (about 2 times more than your acclaimed 2%) of global plastic waste emitted to the ocean as of 2019 (Science Advances, 2021). Second of all, if you throw away your garbage correctly, like say, into the bin and have a private or government organization dispose of it, it most likely wouldn’t end up in the ocean (intentionally) but incinerated or buried for most cases, which means even if most of it doesn’t get recycled, they don’t just simply throw it into the ocean. Yes, a lot of garbage doesn’t get recycled due to how costly and difficult it is but it’s not that bad of an impact on the world as you might think, it’s disposed of *properly*. Yeah, recycling is a bit of a ‘scam’ (in the advertising sense, but not really) and we don’t really have an issue with garbage dumps. Not because we throw things into the ocean but because we dispose of them properly (and you’ll be surprised to know how small in volume garbage actually is compared to landfills n stuff). I don’t have any real information to back this up but I’m speaking from looking online and from common sense
never mind the fact that it can't cut for shit, even if it could could perfectly, you still have to cut all your veggies to shape anyways. You're already going through the "trouble" of getting your knife out, you're getting it dirty and you're going to have to clean it. Why not, at that point, just save the time you would spend having to clean the slap chop, and just chop your vegetables with the knife you've already committed to partially using. In fact, eventually you'll get so good at using a knife if you use it enough, that you'll probably be able to cut and clean the knife faster than you can cut and clean the slap chop.
The only use case where this *could* beat a knife is if the user can't use the knife (arthritis, hand tremor, etc). The fact that you need to cut vegetables to start using the slapchop is pretty damning.

This is the most content I’ve seen someone after buying, in his own words, “a piece of crap”. Nice review. Even if it worked like in the ad I can’t get over the fact that it only chops one cup of food at a time. If you have to use a knife first anyway, and work in batches, what’s the point?
