- Опубліковано 7 вер 2022
- Teal hunting season is in full swing and Matt heads out to cattle pond with some buddies hoping to bag some ducks. It's his first time duck hunting with his Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 28 gauge and he broke it in the right way! It was a great morning of teal hunting in some of the most beautiful scenery around.

Great Hunt my friend! You have the best waterfowl channel on youtube and I always enjoy your videos. It helps these working man blues, keep it up.
Appreciate it!
All the people I hunted with growing up have reached the age where they have stopped hunting, being disabled it’s hard to do by myself, I still get excited about hunting season even tho it’s been 5 years….enjoying the videos
Appreciate it!
Low key use your videos as a form of therapy haha. Simple setups. Genuine excitement and reactions. I can relate so much more versus the crazy 8 man limit in 30 second videos that seem to dominate youtube
Thanks Bob!
Love this channel. Your demeanor is refreshing and something I can let my kids watch. So many other channels get annoying, yours is always consistent good content
Appreciate it!
Hard to beat s sandhills sunrise. Our favorite early teal spread? 3 faded out goose floaters missing most of the flocking and the same 6 Flambeau mallard hens that have been getting patched yearly since 97. 🤣
You got that right. If it works, it works 😂
Great hunt Matt! I am sure jealous of the types of water you all get to hunt out there. Looking forward to more great vids from this fall!
Thanks Lane!
I’m very very Love in the video ❤️❤️🦆
Thanks!
Good shooting Matt! Barry
Appreciate it Barry!
Yeah that stuff makes the legs burn. That’s what low water is like here all summer and early fall. Cool how y’all split retrieving up. Went and looked for teal today and found juvenile woodies all over. Btw thanks for the tutorial on early ducks cause it helped today.
Glad to hear it!
Great small water hunt!!!!
Thanks!
That little pond looks juicy!
Yessir!
@@HighPrairieSportsmen walking in it didn’t look all too fun, but that’s why I’m glad I have my dog. If only I could train her to set decoys..
@@publiclandwaterfowler keep working with her. I'm sure she'll learn how eventually 😂
Great video! Nice shooting!
Thanks!
very cool awesome
💪💪💪
👍🏻
Great hunt. Many of our blue wings have already passed through and our season hasn’t even opened yet.
Thanks! Haven't seen a ton of bluewings here either. More greenwings
@@HighPrairieSportsmen odd to me that states don’t adjust the season to match the migration. Year after year we watch big groups of blue wings because our early season isn’t open yet. We have early goose seasons and we see the majority of the teal weeks before the season opens.
@@jeremypowers9014 ours is usually timed pretty well. Just lack of cold fronts and water made it tough in Nebraska this year.
Complimenti bella cacciata, Benelli SBE3 il top di gamma, veramente spettacolare!!!!
Thanks!
Молодцы парни хорошо стреляете!👍🤝
Thanks!
Lokasi berburu nya mantap master👍👍
Thanks!
Вiтаю, бачу нi одноi качки , тiльки чирята, зате завжди налiтали, гарних пострiлiв.
Only teal season open.
Thanks! Teal are a type of duck
I'm really curious about the reason of using a 28 gauge and its advantages.

@@HighPrairieSportsmen Thanks
I'm surprised you don't have a dog yet, I put it off for years, but wish I would've bought one sooner. It's a commitment, but worth it as much as you hunt.
Just not enough time or the right living situation currently
Good stuff. I appreciate the low key demeanor of the channel. The "let's go bro" high energy bro love, where they braid each others mullets is getting old. How are you liking the SBE3? I still have my Mossberg SA28 and have no real intentions on trading it out, but I am thinking about starting a collection of all semi auto 28s.
I love it. I've got a small one started. They're addicting
No big flocks for you all either, hey? We only saw one or two good flocks during our teal season.
Nope. Saw a few good flocks over the whole season but could only decoy in singles and pairs
Nice shooting , love the video 😁 and was that a hat you put on your mojo ?😅 love it
Haha that was my buddy's DU coot spinner.
What hearing protection do you use. Great video
Thanks! Tetra Alphashields
What loads do you like to use with that dandy little 28
For teal I use Boss 2 3/4" 7s
💪💪💪💪❤️
👍🏻
It seems like you hunt with the ethos super sport more then the sbe3. Which do you prefer
I like the Ethos better. I'd use the SBE3 but the rib fell off during teal season and I'm waiting on a replacement for it.
That was a great hunt Matt and that Hydrilla can be hard to walk in. Enjoyed it
Thanks Chuck!
I'm just starting to get unto youtube what do use to record and edit your videos?
Sony NX80, a6300, Gopro Hero 8, and Shotkam. Premiere Pro
Nebraska has better teal than football that’s for sure
😥
What choke are you using in the 28?
Factory mod
What shot sizes do you shoot in your 28 gauge?
Boss 7s for teal, 5s for ducks, 4s for geese
@@HighPrairieSportsmen 10-4 I appreciate it.
Shame you got a new intro song, I was digging the old one so much lol
Haha I try to switch them up every year.
Did you find that your 28 guage SBE3 shot high and to the left?
Not to the left. Benellis will typically shoot high by design
@HighPrairieSportsmen Thanks, I tried and tried to get the 28guage SBE3 to shoot poa to poi. Changed shims still a nothing burger. Got rid of it. Thinking about Beretta 28 gauge upland mag. Your opinion?
I don't have any experience with Beretta. I use a Benelli Ethos and like it but it does shoot high as well (about 60/40).
It could be the gun fit for the user not the gun. For example a trap gun is designed to shoot high at a rising clay target with a higher comb. I really learned about gun fit when I started shooting trap.
Third 28 guns? Which one you like the best? And nice brace of teals. Good cardio workouts on retrieving.
Hard to choose between the Ethos and SBE3. The Tristar is getting sold
@@HighPrairieSportsmen heheit it doesnt take much shooting lesser guns until a guy says "yeah no reason to own tjis one anymore".

👍🏻
Are you running 2-3/4 or 3” boss ?
2 3/4"
Thanks! I just finally found one and bought a sbe3 28 so I’m looking for a good ammo
@@dakotaswanke2366 I love Boss for mine. 7s for teal, 5s for ducks, 4s for geese
You ever thought about getting a dog? I’d love to watch the dog retrieve.
Yeah, just not the right time for one for me.
What happened to your ethos?
I still have it. Using it more for upland now
ممكن نور لكامره حبيبي
👍🏻
Are you allergic to dogs? Lol
I can't imagine hunting without a dog.
Im not knocking you at all. I can tell you are very selective with your shots and that Bismuth is a game changer over steel. Just figured you would have started a retriever by now. Great hunt and congratulations on the new SBE3!
Haha thanks! No, just don't have the time or living situation for a dog currently.

No one is a complete waterfowler without a dog.sorry. what's up with that. You will never......pick up all of your birds you n Josh from outdoor limits.
Sorry I don't live up to your definition of a waterfowler. I don't have the time or resources for a dog at this time. You can still lose birds with a dog as well.
Pretty arrogant comment. I don't have a big enough yard and not enough time...so I better quit waterfowl hunting now since I've never been complete.
Personally I'd say he's more of a complete waterfowler!!!! Get em in tight, take high % clean kill shots vs blasting away/crippling everything that wings near cause "dog will find it!!!!"
Mayne hes a better waterfowler since he doesnt "need" a dog like some people to feel complete or capable....
