- On a snowy day, Matt goes out with Tyler and his dad to a heated slough hoping for some mallards. The ducks did not disappoint, as flock after flock buzzed by. Definitely one of the best duck hunts Matt has ever been on. And to cap it off, he got an all drake mallard limit with his 28 gauge! On to duck hunting 2021!

I have got an all green hunt, I was only 13 and got about 15 ducks, they were all drake mallards they just weren’t fully plumed out. I’m Native, and I could’ve got more but we decided to go.

i am just curious..what made you go to a 28ga? I have been thinking on getting another shotgun and never even thought of the 28 untill now.
Years ago, one of the guys we hunted with had one. I've wanted one for years now and finally picked one up. I like it now because it fits me a lot better, no kick, and is super light. Overall, just a fun gun to shoot.

Ok I have been meaning to ask what 28ga is that ? I been thinking of adding a 20 ga semi auto I have winchester 1300 like new . But I have been looking at the Turkish made weatherby S-A 08 for early season teal and some upland bird hunting just not sure not a lot of info on the Turkish semi autos?
It's a Tristar Viper G2. The only issue with this Turkish gun was the Carlson's chokes didn't fit. But Tristar's customer service was amazing. Sent the barrel and chokes in and they rethreaded it for me and sent it back within a week.
Hey just a heads up my brothers S-A 08 just blew up on him in the duck pond last weekend. Not sure if it was the shell or the gun but I don’t know if I would risk it. Just a heads up.
@@whackinstackin3149 thank you for heads up . Question was it a 12 or 20 that blew up ? And any chance it got stuck in the mud clogged barrel while hunting ? What brand type shells ?
@@michaelcolman88 no problem! It was a 12 ga. I don’t think it got in any mud but I could be wrong. And he was using hevi metal 3 inch 3 shot. The gun worked fine for about three years its weird that it did that!

But I can’t find a lot about the weatherby in 20 fa except randy wake man and he seems to like the 20 ga weatherby gave it to his dad to hunt pheasants with and it is basically same as the mossberg SA 20 just cost less if I could afford it I would get a beretta a400 20 ga

@@riverrivers250 bismuth shot size is the equivalent of two sizes bigger in steel. So bismuth 5s are the same as steel 3s but with more pellets
