I installed a similar kit on my VH4d Wisconsin engine and I love how well it improved the starting of the machine, especially when it's cold outside. A rebuilt a Case 1537 skidsteer a few years back. Make sure you clean out the cylinder air passages or you could damage the motor.

Points and condenser are such a simple reliable system. I get a kick out of people who don't like or realize how good they are. But each to his own.

We put the same hot spark on our ford 800 backhoe and it's amazing how much better it starts and runs. Points and a condenser are cool but when you just want it to work every time without fuss this is pretty cool too.

I did a similar conversion on my old Ford backhoe several years ago. Best thing I ever did for it! Unfortunately it sits a lot between uses, so I was constantly having to clean the points every time I went to run it. Even with good Echlin points from NAPA. Since the conversion, it fires right up every time.
