There is power in prayer. That means, more then one person praying. That how miracles happen and that’s how we all need to pray for our country
Well said.
I agree!
I'm a very huge fan of y'all and I love how y'all treat people and I want to just thank y'all for everything y'all do God bless y'all
I have to say "ditto"!!!
Your mom’s encouragement to not focus on what to complain about is convicting to be me this morning. I really needed that reminder especially in the current time!
I’m obsessed with your channel! This is exactly how I envision my future family 🙏🏼
Praise God for Randy's healing! Thank you for the update! 🎉
It’s all relevant about being “hard”. The cost of living when it comes housing is half that of most of California, no state tax and sales tax only in a few areas. If you don’t mind cold, darkness, mosquitoes, and isolation, willing to work hard, like to hunt or fish, and have a skilled trade or entrepreneur, Alaska is the promised land!
Jon Stewart wow!
Yes, says this lady who was born, raised, and still lives in LA. That's also why I still have my grown sons still living at home.
Yup.. and myself as a teacher.. we get opted out of social security tax and can opt out of unions.. so we literally can just pay federal tax. So much more take home money.... Freedom is what we love about Alaska. The quality of life is amazing. I lived mostly in CA my life and you don't realize until you leave... how much more life you can have every day.
Harvest Decorations look really nice. Enjoyed Bert and his mom chatting about Alaska. Enjoyed the vlog as always.
Dustin Dent hello
The hardest thing for me to get used to in Fairbanks was the sun being up all the time in the summer!! I was so sleep deprived that one summer!!! My favorite part was the Northern Lights!!! I glad I got to live there for one year!!!
Ohmygoodness! I love it when
Miss Audrey gets the camera.
When I lived in Alaska the hardest thing for me was the extremely short gardening season. On the flip side, I'm a quilter so there was plenty of time to spend indoors making quilts.
Yeah! timing out your harvest can be tricky :D. On the bright side (pun intended) summer growing season you can grow some big veggies from the 20 hour a day sun. We try to simplify and just grow 2 or 3 things in larger quantity.
A mother that provides a loving envierment for her family blesses us all with children that will make a loving world.
your vlog came up in conversation in class today and I told my kids about how Bert would be walking out in like negative 20 F in short sleeves...
Haha!! That's awesome!!
samhouston1979 I was shocked to see him with a flannel shirt on in this vlog.
I'm probably one of your older fans. I struggle with anxiety mostly in the evenings. All I have to do is watch your latest video and I feel happy! I am a "happy people ". Thank you and may God bless your beautiful family!
So happy to hear about Randy and hos recovery! I was praying for him and worried💙 Thanks for the update. I don't feel like it's hard to live in Alaska and I came from California long long time ago yes but still the biggest change for me was weather understandably. I feel like I was 17 when I moved here alone I feel like that made it easier also. I am now 35 yikes. Blessing to your amazing family
Hardest part is going to other states is nothing like living in the lower 48 where you are able to drive from state to state! Also Feb is the hardest time of year.
Love you guys
Tschandra Heinze hello
@@irenedavo3768 Hello (: How are you? Hope your having a awesome weekend 🤗
Back in the late 80's early 90's I got stranded in Anchorage for 24 hours because the "freedom bird" broke down and had to have the #3 engine changed (military flight) and I fell in love with Alaska. It was in January time frame. I always wanted to come back.
January in Alaska. Did you enjoy ?
What part of the world are you from?
@@MB_07 The lower 48, but I lived and traveled around the world. (Military)
Wow!
The cool weather with shining snow is amazing !!!
Jessica , love how you decorate your house in the autumn and winter , such a relaxing homely feel to it . As hard as Alaska might be to live in ,given the extreme cold and darkness , I’d still love to move out there , it looks like heaven on earth .
No worries Jessica, i’m still trying to process a moose hanging in a garage....
Mama Somers is always so positive! Love seeing the fall decor. Another great vlog!!
LIKE WHEN U LET SUDREY USE THE CAMERA SHE GOOD AT IT LOVE U GUYS NEVER THOUGHTBI COULD LIKE ANYONE AS MUCH AS OUR TRIBE OF MANY BUT I AM LOVING U GUYS
I’m not religious, but man I pray for you guys in my own way. You are all such wonderful human beings, and I love your channel. It makes my day every time❤️I hope someday I’ll move to Alaska when I’m older and have a stable job:)
I would also like to mention that I love that you all believe in what you believe, but that you still respect every person you meet, no matter what their backround or beliefs or differences and you don’t judge others:) I also appreciate that you aren’t trying to _make_ other people believe in what you believe just because you do. I have a grandma that tries to make me and my twin believe in her beliefs, even though we just simply don’t believe in them and don’t want to hear it anymore. That does not mean I don’t respect anyone’s beliefs, but it’s always so nice when people do what they want to do without harassing others to do it too:) so by all means, I respect and love everyone and their beliefs:) may you all have everlasting love with your lord:)❤️
If only there were more people with this mindset ❤
ya'll make me happy. im looking forward to seeing the fall turn into winter. i love cold weather. cant wait to see more autumn morning vlogs, what yall cook for breakfast/dinner/baking etc. Great family. Quality youtube here. love from new orleans, la xoxo
I don't normally decorate much for fall and certainly not this early, but I needed something fresh after this year so started updating things last week. I understand how it relaxes you!
I’m exactly the same when nothing is organised I get so stressed 😂 another great vlog also such wonderful news about your friend doing well x
One Day surely I will visit your state and country too.
Make sure you bring everything you want, and plan on staying, because ALASKA grabs your heart and won't let go!! 😉🤣😁 but for real....I wake up every single day feeling Sooo Very Blessed to be living in the most BEAUTIFUL State!! It's like living in a postcard. Haha Truly IS The Last Frontier. ♥️🇺🇲🙌😊
I love watching your vlogs as well because you show us alaska real life and not fake news.........love the colors of the seasons.
Your Mom definitely sold the upside to living in Alaska! You could see how much she loves it 💗
My goodness do I fully know decorating and rearranging long after midnight... And then you can't stop admiring it afterwards!
I'm doing my research to move to Alaska from Maine. Videos like these help because it helps me understand the differences between the two states.
Love your Fall decorations Jessica! Fall is my favorite season!
Hello & happy Friday, Somer’s family! 🙏🏻❤️
yog2u2 hello
Thank you all for sharing your life with everyone! Your channel has been a huge blessing. Life can be extremely hard but through prayer and watching Y'all helps to bring some positivity back!!!! 💙🙏
No judgement here💁🏼♀️
Love watching the kids drive the rover 🛺
Living in any state has it's good and hard points. I lived in three states and there are things that I loved and didn't love about each state. It's great that we have such a variety to choose from in the USA.
Audrey saying "Hello guys" sounded just like her mom!
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. Love the cooler climate, and the changing of the leaves. Your decorations are adorable, just right, and not over powering.
Wow, that IS the Power of Prayer!!! Yes.. It works!! Praise the Lord for the miraculous Recovery of your friend, Randy!! Plus he's going to see his new grandchild?? Ahmazing!! God is SOOO Good.. ALL the time!! I am a fellow Alaskan and live in Palmer.. Y'all were just down the road last week when visiting. Lol I think it's "Perspective", "Attitude, & Outlook".. If those are all 👍- then Alaska is the same as living ANYWHERE else..
EXCEPT... It will make a person NATURALLY tougher, resourceful and feeling accomplished!! Lol it's great... Alaska is HOME!! God bless Everyone who sees this 😊 ♥️🇺🇲🙌
My kids and I love your channel! We love seeing what your up to. Thank you for sharing!
Love this family so much watching your vloggs brings a smile to my face especially now since I'm under going chemo treatments which is not fun at all. Thank u so much for what y'all do. God bless y'all
I really enjoy your videos because Alaska is gorgeous and I know I will never be able to see it in person, thank you for sharing your home, family and Alaska.
It's hard to believe summer is over and fall is here! 33° here in southern Michigan this crisp chilly Saturday morning! Have a great weekend 😃
I live in western Pa. It's not the cold so much but the wind chill factor. It can be 20 degrees, but the wind can drive what it feels like can be well below zero. Sand that is why it really feels cold here. Add cold wet snow and it adds to why I hate winter.
January is even hard here in upstate New York too. It is all relative.
It amazes what people perceive Alaska is like. In this modern age everyone has a phone in their hand whether it being an android or apple or whatever. When I was stationed there this was not a place you go to to watch TV. Time passed for me fast in Ft. Wainwright/Fairbanks and North Pole than it did in SoCal. Even today this is more true than not. I love to see your videos SomersInAlaska because you remind me of the people I knew back then; one of the big reasons I loved Fairbanks so much and miss it that much!
I love your fall decor! Fall is truly my favorite.
Prayers for your Mother and a positive outcome! 🙏.
My wife loves Alaska!! Make hay while the sun shines!
I love how hard working your two kids are, kids now a days, are so lazy,
lol you cracked me up when you talked about how we perceive Alaska with dog sleds to the store and igloos! Yes we think of Alaska as tons of snow all the time every season...lol!! A donated moose....wow never heard of that before! Love your vlogs!
I live in Michigan near the 45th parallel and the thing that I don’t like the most is the darkness in winter. We are dark by 5:30 pm and it’s not light until 8 am during the shortest days, I’d imagine that your lack of daylight would be what bothers me the most. I think I’d love your long summer days and cooler, not humid temperatures during summer.
keep that smile lovely jessica, that is one thing that helps keep me going. i hope one day to get back up to ak.but until then i have you and your family..........be water my friends
“The people “ I love that ❤️❤️❤️
I love your channel so much just can't get enough could watch on a loop over and over ❤
Hi from India. Love watching your channel. Lot of insights about life in Alaska. Your channel is very refreshing and a great stress buster
I was just in North Pole to visit my folks over on Judy Lane. I have been watching your stuff because I have been homesick.
His parents got a moose and now they need a freezer = a "normal" day in Alaska?
13:31 - 14:00 LOL! I'm dying! And it's so funny that no one [verbally] acknowledged him hahahahahah.
You guys are truly amazing its so insane how you answered literally all of the questions i wanted to know bcuz i always loved Alaska & i would watch it on history channel as a kid just a different walk of life that i would love so peaceful 💓and i love the cold only downside to me is the getting dark early
I love seeing your vlogs, I also appreciate how giving Your family is to help others! Audrey, Evelynn, and Garrett are absolutely the most Kind Hearted and Loving kids I "Know"! I love snow and winter. Sometimes we get quite a bit of snow and other winters barely a few inches.
Audrey dear... you are growing into a beautiful young lady. I have been trying to watch all your videos from when you started 5 years ago. Lol it's taking me a while. I love seeing how small the kids were then and see how much they've all grown! Ty for sharing your family with the world.
One of my husband's best friends now lives in Alaska, and he absolutely loves it. His girlfriend is a Jersey girl, and even she has nothing but wonderful words to say about your beautiful state. We hope to visit one day!
The kids are awesome. What a great job with the wood!
I spent a few days several years ago up in Denali National Park. I took the bus back into the park and saw some wildlife. I took a river rafting trip that was fantastic. I would love to go back some day. Don't pass up this opportunity. This would make for a great video some day.
I really love your family!! Sweet kids and wonderful parents!!!
Jessica: “This is a judgement free zone”
Me: this isn’t planet fitness.
I agree with you pros and cons of living in the north, its silimar for us. We are in Northern Manitoba, yes one month of minus 50 brr. Found your channel a few weeks ago, so I will have something to watch after we get ready for winter season. At our house Christmas lights go up before fall or Halloween, because who was to do lights in frigid weather right!? But we love our traditional terrority/land, and only like to visit the big city every now and then, not much lately though. Here we are only allowed to travel down pass into the 52nd parallel for medical and essential grocery shopping, so we stock up. We have been fortunate this year so far, only 4 case in March in Northern MB due to traveling, since the start of this pandemic. No one can travel north unless necessary, we locked the 53rd and up. It was only open June July and August for camping season. Stay safe and take care!
I'm so glad that you have a freezer, noone can get them here until next year. Stores are selling their floor models.
I like your family!! I have NEVER SEEN SNOW!! I live in sunny south Africa. Sending you love
Hi! I'm very happy Randi is doing well! The power of prayer is amazing! Jessica I absolutely love your home decor. I'm decorating for fall this weekend, you inspired me to get moving. 😊🍁🍂. Stay well! Love and prayers ♥️🙏 from NJ
I'm definitely the type of person who prefers cold over hot, I'm by Chicago & sometimes we get all 4 seasons in one week. I feel that AK seems so much more peaceful than the lower 48, the divide down here has caused so much outrage. The peace and tranquility up there seems so amazing!
Hello happy people's ,i never miss a post ,love you guys
Love it “Next Season” not going to use the W word.
I love your vlogs.......I love your phrase of no judgement zone.....no white gloves here for cleaning.......sending virtual hugs and prayers from Debbie in Illinois
I love Alaska! My sister and brother in law live in Kasilof...my sister and I just spent 8 days there fishing and sight seeing...Seward..Homer..Anchorage
Loved hearing about your home. I agree it’s all perspective! It’s gets stinking hot here where I live in Australia. We have degrees of heat (including winter) but I love it. Love your mum’s philosophy Bert. So very positive. All the best you all.
Love you all! You're in my prayers 🙏 ❤
Stay out if the way when Red is cleaning...LOL u scared if that lil bitty thing? Why yes yes I am ...thanks for the video...love to the family
Looks like you have to prepare so much for winter in Alaska. The trees are starting to change Color in Colorado also It’s starting to be fall but it doesn’t feel like it in September with temperatures in the 80”s. It feels like fall more in October than September so technically our fall is two months long . The leaves are turning color but the weather is still hot .i wore the hoodie once when it was chilly outside with rain. It’s warm should be warm for our 30 degrees days in the winter and fall.only I didn’t like the hood it was to lose on my head so in the snow I have to wear a hat because the hood was to lose and you can’t tighten it.Alaska looks pretty I like to visit in the summer one day to get a break from the summer heat .
Ashley churchill hello
Hey guys hope y'all are well much love your way be safe have a wonderful weekend
Burt looks good in that red and black buffalo plaid.
Happy Friday, Somers. I hope you’re having a good, safe Friday. As a former Fairbanks, Alaska resident in my own right, it’s hard for people to stay in Alaska when there’s lots of snow. Plus, I survive over 20+ years in Alaska dealing with snow. So Somers, be safe in the early winter time.🙏🏾♥️🙏🏾♥️🙏🏾♥️🙏🏾♥️🙏🏾
* * * PLUM COLORED HOODIE PLEASE * * *
I never found nothing hard about Alaska, Everytime I left Alaska I cried I sold my land on chena ridge when I left in 1979 big mistake because when I got to Fort Carson Colorado I realized how much I missed Alaska and when I got the chance to go back to Alaska I was so happy to come back to Fort WainWright left in March 1985 and back in October 1993 then my daughter was born with low ammun system so had to leave December 1997 and haven't been able to move back, the only time I can get there is in the winter can't sleep in RV and build in winter some reason you freeze.
Yeah glad to hear his doing well God Bless y’all
Keeping you all in my prayers and continued prayers for Randy. Wish more people was like y'all 🙏❤️
I Love Alaska & you made it accessible thanks
Hi guys I am from Australia very hot summers and mild winters Always been interested to see Alaska looks beautiful keep up with your great videos you guys are awesome. Missed out on a hoodie maybe next time .
Hey 👋🏼 guys! You always have such beautiful, comforting, uplifting music in your videos- where do you get your music from? Great vlog as always, I never get bored of watching your vlogs❣️ Love that you keep it real, that’s the best thing about your vlogs! 🍂✨🍂✨🍂✨🍂✨🍂✨🍂✨🍂✨🍂✨🍂
i always love when you show decorating for the seasons please do more!!
When I was listening to your first song on the video, I thought to myself autumn does not come soon enough in Alabama! Then you addressed it. I know things are totally different there versus here. Here I’m constantly looking at the trees to find a yellow leaf. I’m searching for any hope of cool weather! Love you guys!
Here in Florida I kinda miss the snow. You never see that hear. I was born and raised in Connecticut. I moved to Ohio when my daughter was only three months old. Because the job I was doing closed. And my other sister lived in Ohio and said their is jobs their. So we moved to Ohio for a while. Then the company my husband worked at closed. Then we followed my sister and her husband to Florida and now I’m home sick I miss the snow ❄️.
I've never been to Alaska but I've seen videos and pictures but I'm sure those dont do it justice. I've always wanted to go there. Have a great night😁❤
when I first moved to Yellowknife NWT I thought people were so friendly because they were waving, I found out that they were trying to keep the black flies out of their faces. The northern lights - take your breath away by their beauty and being able to tell how cold it is by how loud the snow squeaks when you walk on it and knowing that the coldest you were in is -80 C with wind and you survived. And 24 hrs of daylight. Took a cab in Iqaluit and everyone paid the driver $5 and he would pickup passengers along the way, you met alot of people on your trip home. Beautiful place with fantastic people, it was a memorable experience.
Awesome decor Jessica! Your house is always well kept! Just need a few Halloween 🎃 tidbits about! Hubby and I love Halloween 🎃 It’s just a fun time without the stress, over spending and mostly *loneliness* of Christmas 😢Anyway: anyplace has good/ bad. 😀Thanks for the info! LOVE LOVE LOVE my hoodies, pics coming (will send ), soon! 😄
Praise God for healing Randy 🙏🙏😘
We spent our honeymoon in Alaska 11 years ago and ever since I’ve been dreaming about spending a winter there :-). Plans for retirement :-)
Plenty of space. Come on up :D
I really love it when you show us your cleaning and decorating for fall! 🍂🍃🍁Maybe you could show us your christmasdecoration as well when is is time for it! Thank you for sharing your life with us😁
I see your fall decorations and can't believe you guys are getting ready for winter time while we still have a few more weeks of over 100F , just today we went up to 105.something... love your family, hope one day you can come to Hermosillo, Sonora, México and enjoy our warm weather in one of our nearby beaches... 🇲🇽🥰
Praise God Randy 🙏 and those who need 🙏. God knows who you are even though I don't. Please know that some in Southern California is Praying for you all. God bless you.
I started watching your vlog last February and enjoyed watching your seasons change to summer. So sad to see it ending 😢
I have been here since 1971 and the hardest by far is the darkness during the winter. Especially given I have SAD. Can’t find a more beautiful place though than Alaska. That and all the light during the summer.
