We are going over how to master the stepover soccer move in this video! This is probably my favorite attacking skill and I believe it is a valuable skill move for every player to learn!
I know I'm a few years late but this video really helped me,I did it in my house and when I went outside to go play,I've done it perfectly and I've beaten two defenders, thx❤🙏
Yeah these videos about how to master a certain skill move are great! (Do body feint, cruyf, LA croqueta, elastico/reverse elastice, V cut and any other move you want to!
These step overs are weak bro, your not committing to the feint, drop your shoulder, commit to going to either left of right, just before you touch the ball to go left/right scoop your foot around the ball for this to be more effective, so using the outside of your boot, within 2/3 inches of touching the ball quickly change your your momentum and scoop around the ball, this way the defender can’t tell whether you are doing a step over or actually going a certain route of passage :) hope this helps
I'm turning 21 september 20th and the tampa bay huracan fc invited me to train with them.... last time I played a competitive game was in the middle of Highschool... you have hella time just make sure you work on your best attributes to help you level up faster I guess
@@brandon7689 not necessarily because overtraining is very bad he should train smarter not harder (btw still train hard though) and good luck I believe in you
As a winger when i pass to forward it is working.but i when pass back or towards centre my friend doesnt receive the pass well and blames me that i have passed the ball to opponent what 2 do bcos of that i dont receive pass from him when iam open at left wing towards the line or at forward where the goal is open instead he hogs the ball and doesnt make many passes. We r club players not professionals.
Hi dave as i said i went to a little fusal competition and coach only played me 5 min!im sure im better than some players they were playing but coach didnt want me to play more this is a little competition and there is not training sessions to prove myself and the time of my playing isnt enough and it makes me nervous.what is your advice? Thanks again
Make the most of the time you're given and double down on your individual training. Make yourself so good that your coach doesn't have second thoughts about playing you.
@@SimplySoccer Thanks coach dave!like always:Awesome. im confident i will wait for chances and when i got it i will flow like water with clear mind I will play my game and show who actually i am!
I have learned some things from some of your other vids... so let me offer you and anyone reading, this... what is the purpose of this move? The purpose should be to juke your opponent right? None of the footage hear would juke my 12 year old, in fact many "pro-players" could not juke my 12 year old with this move. The true secret to this and any other move designed to juke an opponent is YOU HAVE TO SELL IT! YOU HAVE TO SELL IT! YOU HAVE TO SELL IT! let's see... if a player is coming straight at you with the ball at their feet and they start flapping their arms like a chicken first the left than the right, will this cause you to move left or right - NO - so what has to move in order for you to get juked? either the ball, the BODY or both. since this move does not move the ball, your body has to move, and if you do it 10 times you will only confuse your opponent. Think basketball when you do any moves designed to juke your opponent. There is the body fake, the ball fake or both. THAT's IT! So when doing this move you have to sell it with your body to juke any high level opponent. MOVE YOUR BODY INTO THE FAKE OUT... timing is everything so practice on your own then practice on the field. . Also, your vid shows the final ball move with the outside of the foot moving away, you can also pull the ball to the "inside" direction with the inside of the foot. so with right foot step over, fake body right then move left pulling the ball with you on the inside of your right foot If you can master both and have the ability to see whether or not your opponent was juked you then can pull or push. good luck :-)
you dont always have to put your whole body into it. Thats the beauty of the step over you can use it as a body feint or you can use it simply to slow down your defender when going against him to then accelerate again or to keep him guessing which way youll go once you get close enough. It can also work to bait him into diving in
@@fdgfdg2055 Thanks for the comment and clarification. Yes "body feint" = body Again if you're not selling I'm not buying :-) I can't count the number of times my 15 year old has snatched the ball from u20 ECNL players and a couple of National team players who tried this move...
Cool Joule ur completely right. Fid, he's just saying that using your whole body would be more effective. However, using just your legs work if you fast feet (cr7). But if you don't have fast feet then using your whole body is great. And it's even better if you have fast feet and use your whole body. Both work. Ones just more effective.
@@thahondu6346 cr7 is a very good case in point, if you are fooled by fast foot only then you need to retrain yourself to "not bite" a defender should have her eye on the ball and the "body mass" if neither one of those changes, the ball will not change direction unless to pass.
Cool Joule I agree. And personally would advise using your whole body when I train players. Players that only move their feet fast will eventually meet a defender who's good enough to stop. them.
Not bad but not enough use of the upper body. Probably wouldn’t really fool anyone unless you’re travelling at Messi speeds (My experience - state football player)
Strange. My stepover has worked at every level I've used it at, including at the collegiate level and against pro players. But I'll keep that in mind..
@@SimplySoccer you should move your upper body too, look at ronaldinho stepover on gattuso. I like the one single stepover, run up close to the guy and square up on the guy then *bam* hit him with the single stepover and go. The single is quicker his teammates don't have time to cover him.

do you have to be fast to learn this skill quicker??
At top speed you can create space with step over if you are slow the gap can be closed ..but no its just for making space for you
It helps if your feet and agility are quick. But both can be trained!
I have a video on how to get faster footwork on my channel!
Can you do a video about how to identify the right soccer style for a person ..✌️
