I am a close -to -50 year old mom of an 8 year old football crazy kid. Even though I never played football growing up, your videos have helped me tremendously to assist my son outside of his team practices, and his technique and confidence have improved. He went from not making any goals last spring, to making at least one goal each game and several assists. Your tutorials and explanations are amazing for amateurs and professionals alike. Thank you for sharing your gift!

All fantastic information here! That long stride and your backswing are absolutely key! The proper technique will produce more accuracy and power than trying to smash it as hard as possible. ⚽️
Thank you for this. I’ve been trying to work with my son generating power in his striking. Even without even showing him this I think the long strides is something he’s not consistently doing. He has a habit of doing the quick short stutter steps. We’ll work on this tomorrow morning.
Ah yes, I imagine you’ll see an instant improvement in getting his strides wider and more powerful. It will really help with momentum and increasing the backswing. Hope it helps 🤝
Really appreciate it! Will tryout for a football team i have been wanting to join but have been too afraid to try cause im not that good. Now in the upcoming months ill train and then in november ill tryout! 🎉❤
That backswing is huge. I really felt like I just didn't have the "it" factor for striking like some of the other guys in my league. I started actively working on my backswing and that planting leg and I feel like I have a cannon now. Can't wait for the season to start back up.
Love to hear you managed to identify the area that could take your striking to another level, fantastic progress mate. Wishing you the best in your upcoming season 🤝
42 now, over the years played a lot and my pass was always pretty good. But shooting with power came and went and was never stable. Now after way too many 5v5 and 7v7s where "long" passes and hard shots were not so necessary I can't seem to get a power shot or pass (ping) off anymore now I joined my son's school parent team 😂 . Thanks for the video and need to find the time and space to practice again!
I am a huge fan of Neymar. I'm 16. Although I don’t play football, my interest in the game has developed because of Neymar. I want to be like him-not that I can fully become like Neymar, but I want to play with his style and skills. I want to surprise everyone at my local football field by playing like him. Could you please give me some tips on what I can do, how I can be more like him, and how I can learn his skills? A video on this topic would be amazing and very helpful for many Neymar fans like me
The best way to learn is not by watching tutorials but by watching videos of Neymar himself and learning from those. Also helps you notice some things only you would notice
You need to learn the basics first. You can practice at home, indoors or outdoors, using this guy’s ball mastery tutorials. Play against a wall to improve your first touch, this is more important than any tricks. Practice dribbling and changing direction, to get comfortable with that. Then you need to go and play with others, to get used to the speed of the game. If you try to show off with tricks before you’ve learned the basics and found some form, it’s highly likely you’ll mess up and embarrass yourself. Football isn’t as easy as it looks, it takes lots of practice! Also, doing tricks might impress team mates if they work, but ultimately the most important thing is making a positive contribution, which could be a great pass to set up a goal scoring opportunity for someone else, or a last ditch tackle that stops your opponents from scoring. Even more important is to get out, play and enjoy it for yourself, don’t get bogged down with trying to impress others!
Hello Mike, Thank you for all your content in all platforms. Your videos have helped me guide my son to be a better footballer. Curious if you ever in South Florida to have a private session with you. Thank you
Look what youtube recoomends me...another briliant local Roc baller playing on the turf I play every week!!! Brilliant content mate. Do you offer in-person training program?
Hello Michael I’ve been playing for the almost 5 years now and you’ve gotten me to where I want to be, 2019-2020 I couldn’t even kick a ball and now I’m so much better comparing to how I used to be. However I am trying to learn one skill in particular, I have the technique but the follow through isn’t so good, for you next vid can you do a skill tutorial on how to perfect the rainbow flick. Thank you 🙏
❤Michael, I am your follower from Iraq, and I love you and I hope to see you in the major leagues. I have a question: How many times a week do I learn about ball control exercises? The other question is: I entered the first division club exams, but my touch of fear was absent. What is the solution?
man.. Its been like this since forever, i need to know cause your contact point is a bit weird for me to understand, do u shoot it with your laces or instep. Its like you combine both of them but i just cant shoot with the hardest bone like you cause its to high to my feet. Please just show me how by placing your foot at the ball like your gonna shoot it. I know you did it in the video, but it wouldn't hurt, your my inspiration right now.. 3 Years with you, and all i have ever wanted in football was done by you.
It’s exactly as shown mate, the instep is directly between the laces and the inside of the foot. You may need to shoot slightly lower. This video provides the theory, but ultimately only getting the repetitions in will help you understand the technique.
Bro, it will naturally come to you, you can't shoot with power with one of them.shooting with power will anatomically cause you to hit with your instep area(one between laces and inside of football). As your body is in an awkward position, hitting from the instep will automatically come to you.
One thing I see missing in all of these videos is the lean away from the ball to help clear your foot. You may be too upright. If you lean to the side, you get more clearance and can use the correct part of your foot. They all do it in their videos naturally, so they don't call it out. A run up off to the side (vs straight behind) may help.
Training consistently should be separate from your motivation. If you only trained when you felt like it, you would restrict your progress massively. Just as you brush your teeth everyday, eat food and sleep, training is also a part of your day that has consequences if not done. Get after it boss 🤜🤛
Haha happy to help mate! Don’t overthink your acceleration technique too much, unlike with competitive sprinting, footballers have their own style, it’s about learning how to move your body most efficiently from point A to point B. Just incorporate accelerations and sprints into your routine twice per week, work on strengthening your feet and implementing plyometrics into your weekly schedule, and you’ll see improvements 🤝
